It was at this time that Li Yi had decided to send the eleven million Gold Coins into Big Head Dong Dong’s account.

There was no such thing as being too careful, especially when dealing with a ‘renowned’ scammer like Black Autumn. Though Li Yi had no intentions to increase her suffering, he still needed to tread carefully. When he said that he had given her the money just now, he actually did not send anything, and instead, he waited until Autumn Love reacted before giving it to her.

“The extra is for you to clear your name. Head to the Temple of Light in the Ninth Continent and spend some money to carry out atonement prayers. If you’re lucky, you just might be able to clear your t.i.tle.”

Ecstatic, Autumn Love exclaimed, “Can my t.i.tle really be removed?”

“I won’t say that it will happen for sure, but the possibility is there.”

Autumn Love was truly desperate. She knew better than anyone else that if her account continued to be in this state, the consequences would be extremely dire.

Autumn Love made a suicidal dash into a pack of monsters in the North Pole Continent, and then she chose to lose some levels in exchange for returning back to her continent. She then used the quickest method available to her to head towards the Ninth Continent’s Temple of Light.

Li Yi was sitting in the living room. Not long after, a brutish looking Big Bun carefully trotted over.

“Here, boss!”

One Big Bun gave Li Yi a soldier’s salute before rubbing his hands and chuckling as he sat cross-legged across Li Yi.

“What can I help you to decompose?”

Though One Big Bun was not as smart as Autumn Love, he had already realized that unless Li Yi needed him, he would not have called him over.

Li Yi took out all seven hundred or so Holy Equipment he gathered and poured them onto the ground.

Before Li Yi had even spoken, One Big Bun’s eyes twinkled as he rushed ahead to play with the items. He had fully devoted himself to the joy of decomposing items.

Within a game, there were those who liked to PK, those who liked to craft, those who liked to adventure, and those who liked to dig for treasure. However, One Big Bun did not belong to any of those categories; he was a category of his own as one of his favorite pastimes was to decompose items.

Since the beginning of the game, One Big Bun had always equipped cloth armor. This was not because he did not buy any equipment. Instead, it was because of his inability to suppress his desire to decompose items. At most, the equipment on him would only last for three days before he decomposed them…

Does he get a high from decomposing items? Li Yi did not know, but when he saw Big Bun’s gleaming eyes and his devotion that enabled him to reach the state of ‘Men and Decomposition’, he knew that there was something that attracted Big Bun to it.

“Big Bun, is decomposing items really that addictive?” While Big Bun was busy toiling, Li Yi could not help but ask.

One Big Bun did not even raise his head. “Decomposing good equipment feels insanely good, but not white equipment.”

A red flash flickered in and out of the room as one by one, equipment was decomposed into materials. However, due to the difference in the quality of equipment, the materials that came out included both bad ones and good ones.

The most common white equipment could be decomposed into two common materials, Low-level Crystals, or Intermediate-level Crystals. As for the Blue Quality Equipment, they could be decomposed into either Intermediate-level or Advanced-level Crystals; whereas Gold Quality Equipment could be decomposed into either Advanced-level Crystals or Special Crystals. Purple Quality Equipment, on the other hand, could be decomposed into Ultimate Crystals or G.o.d Crystals, and last but not least, the Orange Quality Equipment could be decomposed into G.o.d Crystals.

These crystals were not to be underestimated though, as every lifestyle cla.s.s required them, and sometimes, even normal players as well. Thus, it could be said that they had a wide variety of usages.

The decomposer cla.s.s was quite interesting, as even Level 0 Decomposers were able to decompose Legendary Orange Quality Equipment. However, compared to the higher-ranked Decomposers, they produced significantly fewer crystals. On the other hand, the higher their Decomposition level, the more crystals that they can produce. Naturally, there was also the problem of chance in decomposing items as even Advanced-level Decomposers would fail to decompose an item when their luck was down.

When a decomposition fails, the item would disappear, and no crystals would be produced.

One Big Bun’s Decomposing skills were extremely honed. He had been constantly perfecting this craft, and as such, he had already destroyed countless exquisite items. Although his infamy had not reached the heights it did in Li Yi’s previous life, within the Iron Alliance, there was n.o.body who did not know of the legendary Money-burning Decomposer.

When One Big Bun decomposed items, the chances of him failing were extremely low. Furthermore, the number of crystals he produced was pleasing as well, as even a normal trashy White Quality Equipment would produce around 20 Low-level or Intermediate-level Crystals in his hands, compared to the normal 10 that would be produced from the average Decomposer. Also, if luck was in on his side, he could even produce hundreds of crystals from a single decomposition.

His average decompositions were double that of the average Decomposer. That was the difference between a Grandmaster Decomposer and a normal Decomposer!

While One Big Bun was busy decomposing the items, Li Yi made sure to stand by and watch. He was not interested in the normal crystals that appeared, but rather, the additional Holy Crystals.

When one decomposed Holy Equipment, there was a small chance that Holy Crystals would appear along with the usual crystals. Furthermore, since multiple items had multiple Holy values, the greater one’s Holy attribute was, the greater the chances of producing Holy Crystals.

Naturally, the Holy Crystals were also like normal crystals in the sense that they had a small chance of hitting the jackpot, dropping tens of Holy Crystals in a single go.

However, the chance of hitting this jackpot was astronomically low. It was as rare as getting a boss to drop divine equipment.

Even if a piece of equipment possessed the Holy attribute, it did not mean that it would definitely drop Holy Crystals. Its chances were horrendously low, and even though One Big Bun had decomposed over a hundred trash Holy Equipment, the number of Holy Crystals he obtained did not exceed 10.

One Big Bun wiped off his sweat. “Boss, are you hoping to get Holy Crystals?”

“Yeah…”

“It’s kinda tough though…”

In contrast to the Holy Crystals, One Big Bun had plenty of normal crystals instead. Sadly, Li Yi had zero interest in them.

The red lights continued to fill the room as item after item was converted into materials. Nevertheless, the number of Holy Crystals remained quite low, as even after decomposing over three hundred items, there were only 15 Holy Crystals.

“Ahem… I have a feeling that the next time I decompose an item, I’ll hit the jackpot.”

One Big Bun was feeling a bit embarra.s.sed, so, he muttered words of encouragement to himself as he continued to decompose.

Another Gold Quality Equipment had been successfully decomposed, and all in all, 36 Special Crystals had been produced, along with 1 Holy Crystal.

“I have a great feeling about the next one. It’s definitely going to be a jackpot!”

One Big Bun gripped another Gold Quality Equipment and hastily went to work.

“Bang!”

The splendid font of ‘jackpot’ appeared, and the Gold Quality Equipment had been successfully decomposed, producing 376 Special Crystals.

“F*CK!” One Big Bun could not help but curse. He had indeed hit the jackpot, but it was the wrong item that had hit it. The one that struck jackpot was the normal crystals and not the Holy Crystals.

“Third time’s the charm.”

One Big Bun continued to decompose, and the item dissipated into vapor. His decomposition had failed, and there was nothing to be gained.

He continued to decompose, only to be met with failure, again and again. After continuously failing for five more times, One Big Bun gave up, went out of the meeting room for a breath of fresh air, and returned to decompose.

Whenever his luck was down in the dumps, he would need to go out for a breather. By doing so, his luck would greatly improve. That was what One Big Bun had learned from his years of decomposing.

He decomposed another item, only to be met with yet another failure. As such, he went back out for a walk…

Li Yi stared wordlessly at One Big Bun as he went back and forth. Li Yi understood that the main cause of his suffering was due to him feeling bad, and as such, he did not add salt to the wound. All he could do was to smile awkwardly at him.

At long last, he no longer failed his decompositions, and the crystals came out as usual. At times, there would also be Holy Crystals.

“Brother Dark Wing, I’ve arrived at the Temple of Light. I have money on me, but when I attempted to carry out an atonement prayer, the priest wouldn’t accept it…”

While Li Yi waited for the results of the decompositions, Autumn Love had sent him a message to notify him of her current situation.

She had followed Li Yi’s instructions to the letter and had gone to the Temple of Light to carry out an atonement prayer. However, a new problem had arisen, as the NPC Priests had totally ignored her, and prevented her from spending her money.

“Hold on…”

Li Yi contacted Sister Windcloud Nine and told her to party up with Black Autumn at the Temple of Light. He then instructed her to donate to the temple, and by doing so, Black Autumn would receive the favor as well, allowing the Priests to finally see eye to eye with her.

Brother Windcloud Nine had led his people to invade Foreignland, and Sister Windcloud Nine had followed along. However, her performance was as poor as ever. The party had surrounded a Purple-named Boss and were a.s.saulting it with all they got, but the silly girl had gone ahead and given up her own life. As such, she had received a free ticket back to the Capital. She was just about to head back to Foreignland when Li Yi had messaged her.

“Alright, alright, I’ll head there right now.”

Sister Windcloud Nine rushed towards the Temple of Light and partied up with Black Autumn. She then used her position as Queen to donate ten thousand Gold Coins to the Temple of Light.

Following that, the Ritual of Holy Light commenced. The NPC Priests gathered together and filled the Celestial Capital with their hymns. Later on, they had even given their blessings to Sister Windcloud Nine and Autumn Love.

Any player could spend a thousand or ten thousand Gold Coins to receive a Ritual of Holy Light from the Temple of Light. By doing so, their Sin Value would greatly decline, and they would even receive 3-hours’ worth of positive buffs along with a +10 to all attributes. It was extremely useful.

“Pray once per day. Also, try to stay near the Temple of Holy Light during this period. Your Sin Value will decrease faster if you do so.”

“Okay, thanks, brother…” Autumn Love was extremely moved. So much so that she had even addressed Li Yi differently. She used to call him Brother Dark Wing, but now, it was changed directly into brother.

While Li Yi was instructing Autumn Love on how to complete her prayers, One Big Bun had finally completed the decomposition of all 600 or so items.

He had produced countless normal crystals, but… there were only 36 Holy Crystals!

One Big Bun tugged at Li Yi’s clothes. “Even the ones on you will do.”

Li Yi quickly swooped up the Holy Crystals and made a run for it.
