Chapter 959 The G.o.d Wars

BB East lay dead, but his body was not forcibly teleported and remained on the ground.

After Carulla defeated BB East, she did not stop her hand. Her full moon scepter shot out four divine lights which also killed Li Yi and the others.

Five top players, all died…

“How do we f*cking defeat that?” The Mountain was annoyed.

Carulla’s divine light was faster than the speed of light, and the damage was higher than tens of billions. It was impossible to survive the damage given the current equipment of the players.

“What happened? Why did the Death and Evil G.o.ds show up? Whose quest is this?” The Mountain looked around and asked.

“Mine,” Li Yi replied.

After completing the Evil G.o.d Summoning, Elusia had secured a smooth return from the Alternate Dimension. Recently, she had been staying at the Tower of Remorse together with the Death G.o.d.

From Elusia, Li Yi knew everything about Ascension.

Following the hints of the Ascension Quest, one could only become a demiG.o.d in the end. There was only one way to become a True G.o.d, that was when the Ruler of G.o.ds personally bestowed the honor. There was no other way.

The Ruler of G.o.ds would not give out t.i.tles so easily, hence the so-called ‘G.o.d Wars’ was a mere trick by the Pantheon.

The Pantheon Mystery expansion pack mainly told the origin of the G.o.ds. In the game, lucky players would receive the Ascension Quest. As long as they carried on with the quest, they would eventually know where the G.o.ds came from.

Among the five of them, only Li Yi had successfully completed the final task of the Ascension Quest. With his help, the remaining four also learned about the secrets of the G.o.ds.

“Dimensional Authority—Destruction!”

Carulla attacked first. Her full moon scepter drew a stroke in the air and the surrounding s.p.a.ce immediately exploded violently…

The explosion in the s.p.a.ce struck the Evil and Death G.o.ds, inflicting one billion damage.

“Life Authority—Restoration!”

“The Ruler of G.o.ds’ Staff belongs only to me, Carulla, you do not deserve it. Life Authority—Aging!”

The Evil G.o.d snorted and extended her arms toward Carulla.

At a speed visible to the naked eye, Carulla’s body was rapidly aging.

One of the reasons the Evil G.o.d strength matched the Ruler of G.o.ds was that her attack could be directly applied to the target without having to unleash it.

“Dimensional Authority—Destruction!”

Carulla raised her full moon scepter and pointed at the approaching Death G.o.d.

The Authority came into contact with Death G.o.d. In one blow the latter was shattered into hundreds of millions of tiny pieces.

“Life Authority—Restoration!”

Seeing her friend in danger, the Evil G.o.d immediately released her Authority intending to restore the Death G.o.d’s body.

“In your dreams!” Carulla threw a vivid ray of divine light from her hands and it hit the body fragments of the Death G.o.d.

“Dimensional Authority—Transportation!”

The Death G.o.d completely vanished.

“d.a.m.n!”

The Evil G.o.d was furious and used Aging again to accelerate the aging of Carulla’s body.

“Dimensional Authority—Time Reversal!”

The full moon scepter emanated a vibrant flash, and Carulla’s appearance gradually returned to youth.

The Evil G.o.d and Carulla were well-matched in strength and neither could gain the upper hand at the moment.

“What are we gonna do?” The Mountain asked

“Help her defeat Carulla?” Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut joined the discussion.

“Carulla is not a benevolent figure, neither is the Evil G.o.d. It benefits none of us no matter who wins.”

“But I thought we were revived by the Evil G.o.d?” Qian’er said.

“That was the Dark Resurrection Spell. It won’t take long before we die again.”

The Mountain and the others immediately noticed the peculiar state of their bodies.

Their Attribute Panels each showed a timer, which was the negative effect of the Dark Resurrection Spell. When the number hit zero, death would surely follow.

“Why are the G.o.ds such scheming sons of—” The Mountain felt frustrated.

“All the more reason to overthrow them.” Li Yi smiled.

“G.o.d Mode!”

The Spinning Arrow went straight toward Carulla.

Although the Evil G.o.d was not good, it was plain to see that Carulla was even worse.

“Wicked mortal! How dare you shoot at G.o.d?”

The thunder rumbled.

It was only a brief moment before Qian’er returned to her original state and was found sitting on her heels, exhausted.

Qian’er ability to summon the Ancient Fire G.o.d was a reward from her Ascension Quest.

The Evil G.o.d was fixated on the Ruler of G.o.ds’ Staff. She did not notice the sneak attack by Li Yi and the others. As she grabbed hold of the Ruler of G.o.ds’ Staff, Li Yi’s Divine Thunder Spell and Qian’er’s Divine Flame hit her directly in the face.

The chance of winning was almost zero when fighting against a G.o.d, but if it was an ambush, it would be entirely another matter.

The impact forced her to fall on her knees, but she did not release of the Ruler of G.o.ds’ Staff.

“Let go!”

The Evil G.o.d and Carulla screamed at the same time. Neither of them had let go.

Both of them held on to opposite ends of the Ruler of G.o.d’s Staff. They did not look like G.o.ds, instead, they looked like a couple of loudmouths seizing the last bread in a grocery store.

Due to the exhaustion of Divine Power, Li Yi’s Thunder G.o.d appearance started to fade away.

“Are they not dead yet? d.a.m.n!”

“My turn!”

Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut moved forward in a bizarre way, with both fists held at her waist. She charged toward the Evil G.o.d and unleashed a golden fist.

“G.o.d-killing Fist!”

“Wham!”

With the Divine Power attached to her fists, she smashed more than 50 million worth of HP out of the Evil G.o.d.

The unending golden fists slammed right on the head of the Evil G.o.d. Her pretty face was disfigured, leaving behind with what looked like a swollen pig’s head.

Fluttering Snow Purple Water Chestnut turned and a.s.saulted Carulla. Since the G.o.ds were evenly matched, one being weaker than the other was not a good thing for Li Yi and the others, so the best way was to deplete their strength at the same time.

Li Yi retreated to catch his breath. When the Beast Soul’s Possession’s cooldown period ended, he immediately transformed into the Six-armed Red Macaque. He then summoned a Water Clone and used Thousand Sword Criss-cross.

Although the Blademaster was not a divine cla.s.s, his seven Sealing Swords, all of which contained Divine Power, made up for that.

The atmosphere was filled with blade auras that surrounded Carulla and the Evil G.o.d. He then launched a sweeping attack.

Li Yi’s Thousand Sword Criss-cross continued. With the blessing of the Dark Resurrection Spell and the Water Clone doubling his attacks, the power of his sword skills was greatly increased.
