Wu Ze’s face turned blank. Disappointed, he sat on the sofa and took another cigarette out of his pocket. His hand faintly trembled before he forcefully calmed himself down and lit up the cigarette.

He placed it at the corner of his mouth and angrily inhaled two puffs. Wu Ze was at a loss. Were his innermost thoughts so easily revealed?

Yin Shan had immediately guessed his intentions.

When she saw that a handsome and resolute man like Wu Ze had also revealed his dejected and timid side now, Yin Shan knew that he was not lying because he was afraid of Yuan Xuan but because his heart still wanted to protect Mu Chenyan.

Wu Ze gaze flickered when he spoke, revealing an indescribable pain.

Yuan Xuan lowered his head while his gaze lingered on the side of Wu Ze’s face for a long time as he fell into deep thought.

When he received news from Yan Jun that the person who sent the pictures was Wu Ze’s female secretary, Yuan Xuan had already known that he had probably been fooled.
