As long-term weightlessness would kill red blood cells, destroy muscles, and hearts, only with gravity could people live in the stars.h.i.+p for any length of time.

Also, the gravity field could avoid the situation that people inside couldn't withstand the tremendous pressure that was caused by the stars.h.i.+p's acceleration. This was because the protective cover was equipped with plasma emitters in the front and at the rear, which emitted the plasma s.h.i.+eld to cover the entire stars.h.i.+p.
