This game was supposed to be against the background of a western fantasy but the NPC spoke in an oriental fas.h.i.+on. w.a.n.g Yu glanced at the name of this man and immediately realised his ident.i.ty.

“No issues there!” w.a.n.g Yu waved the matter away and quickly shook Heavenly Dragon’s hand.

The two entered into the conference room.

Heavenly Dragon spoke flatteringly, “I have long heard of Twilight City Lord’s exploits. You have managed to lead Twilight City to independence. It is my pleasure to meet you here today.”

“That was nothing much. I was only lucky!” w.a.n.g Yu quickly dismissed the compliments politely.

“Hahaha!” Heavenly Dragon roared with laughter, “This matter was fully within your grasp. How would luck play a role in it? Anyway, can I inquire about the purpose of your visit?”

Heavenly Dragon was indeed well chosen for the role of City Lord because he knew how to flatter others genuinely. He knew that w.a.n.g Yu was not here for chit-chat and cut straight to business.

w.a.n.g Yu replied, “My intention here today is to borrow your teleportation formation. Is it convenient for Brother Dragon to allow me to use it?”

“Well, this…” Hearing w.a.n.g Yu’s request, Heavenly Dragon furrowed his brows as he continued with deliberation, “Is your destination Dragon Island?”

“That’s right. My cultivation has reached a bottleneck and I want to head over to Dragon Island to seek some pointers,” w.a.n.g Yu spoke truthfully.

“En!” Heavenly Dragon nodded and said, “With Twilight City Lord’s prestige, you can definitely go to Dragon Island. However, the energy requirements to activate the teleportation formation is extremely high. I need some time to prepare.”

“Prepare?” w.a.n.g Yu inquired, “How long would that take?”

Heavenly Dragon answered, “It could take up to half a year but also a month!”

w.a.n.g Yu smiled placidly at his response.

Not considering half a year, even a duration of one month was enough for a top expert to be left behind if he did not keep up…

It was likely that Heavenly Dragon was trying to seek some sort of remuneration for his helping w.a.n.g Yu in the matter.

“Haha!” Heavenly Dragon harrumphed as he grasped at the bag and weighed it in his palms casually, “Twilight City Lord does not need to stand on ceremony. The teleportation formation will be ready for your use in three days.”

“Three days?” w.a.n.g Yu’s lips quivered. He could not even bear to wait one day… w.a.n.g Yu tossed out another big bag of money. “Brother Dragon, this is an urgent matter.”

Heavenly Dragon hefted the bag with a satisfied look, “I have previously saved the energy in the teleportation formation for a trip but since City Lord has requested, I definitely have to help you out!”

“Thanks, Brother Dragon!” w.a.n.g Yu quipped.

w.a.n.g Yu thought in his heart, I never knew that the sentient NPCs could roam the world freely.

As he followed Heavenly Dragon into the backyard, he gazed upon a gargantuan teleportation formation.

“Twilight City Lord, this is the teleportation formation. Everyone can only use it once a day. Are you sure you want to use it?” Heavenly Dragon reconfirmed.

“Hm!” w.a.n.g Yu nodded. Since he already spent the money, what more was he waiting for?

Heavenly Dragon proceeded to operate the array and w.a.n.g Yu stepped into it shortly.

At this moment, an encompa.s.sing blue light surrounding w.a.n.g Yu and the scenery changed. He was transported to another map.

“Oh, so this is Dragon Island!” Hearing the system notification, w.a.n.g Yu surveyed his surroundings curiously.

Dragon Island was truly the natural habitat for dragons. It was a vast expanse of land.

There were ma.s.sive trees, humongous stones and even the weeds were big.

With w.a.n.g Yu’s stature, only the top half of his head could be seen when he stood in the gra.s.sy plains.

In this endless prairie, there were a few red dragons soaring in the skies while some car-sized baby dragons were tumbling around in the gra.s.s.

w.a.n.g Yu was careful to avoid confronting any of these Dragons. However, all of a sudden a thunder-like sound rang in his ear.

“Intruder. I am the Holy Dragon Emperor of Dragon Island. Who are you? To think you actually have the t.i.tle of ‘Dragon Slayer’. Are you coming here to threaten us? Do you think we are easy to bully?”

“???”

w.a.n.g Yu was startled as he glanced around frantically but did not see a figure. He answered, “I am the Twilight City Lord Iron Bull. My purpose here is to find Dales.”

Although he did not know where the Holy Dragon Emperor was residing, the tone that it used was not a friendly one.

Thinking about it, w.a.n.g Yu with his Dragon Slayer t.i.tle was seen as a potential threat to Dragon Island.

Holy Dragon Emperor heard w.a.n.g Yu and was taken aback. His tone changed from one that was hostile to one that was mildly shocked, “Oh? You are the Twilight City Lord?”

“That’s me!” w.a.n.g Yu nodded.

It was at this moment that w.a.n.g Yu realised the weight and respect his City Lord t.i.tle commanded in the eyes of this NPC after Twilight City gained independence from the Light Camp.

For example with the Heavenly Dragon, he had treated w.a.n.g Yu with utmost respect. Even Holy Dragon Emperor accorded him with courtesy after seeing his Dragon Slayer t.i.tle.
