Chapter 1433: The True Exit

After saying that, the crowd bypa.s.sed the lava pit as they continued on the path by the side. Shortly after, they arrived at the entrance of the small door on the opposite side.

Fearless pushed open the small door and was about to cross over when he received yet another system notification.

“???”

Looking at the system notification, Fearless stopped in his tracks.

After playing the game for such a long time, Fearless knew the little tricks that the system would play on them. It wouldn’t give such a brainless warning for no reason so there must be some hidden traps.

“Fearless, why did you stop?”

w.a.n.g Yu asked when he saw that Fearless stopped moving.

“Everyone, stop!” Fearless waved his hands and said, “Let’s head back! We will exit from the door that we came from!”

This scene only had two doors, the entrance and the exit. Since there was a problem with the exit, the only obvious choice was to head back…

Even though everyone didn’t know why, they trusted Fearless’ command after witnessing how vigilant and sinister Fearless was throughout the entire time…

After all, he was the overall commander. It wasn’t as though people thought it wouldn’t be appropriate to disobey his orders, they were more worried that disobeying his orders now would result in lesser rewards at the end.

Just when everyone thought that they had returned to the palace, the scenes in front of them caught everyone off guard.

The other side of the entrance was not the palace but it was actually the same scene as earlier. In front of everyone was still the lava pit boiling with lava.

The place where everyone was standing turned from the earlier entrance to an exit. The group of them were simply standing on the lower end of the plank walkway.

Even though it was rare to have such a situation in the game, it wasn’t impossible. Many games would have a maze setting like this which was bound to confuse people.

Since everyone had been playing for some time, they were merely slightly startled when they saw this. They did not react dramatically with the exception of w.a.n.g Yu, who was extremely confused at where he saw, “Eh? What is going on? Are we lost?”

He was indeed a true newbie in this game.

“It is a maze!” Fearless replied.

“Maze?” w.a.n.g Yu furrowed his brows frantically when he heard this term.

For a person with such a poor sense of direction, a maze was 180 times more frightening than a G.o.d-level BOSS.

“Don’t worry!” Fearless replied, “Under normal circ.u.mstances, the mechanism of the maze uses a few similar maps. The links are all connected so as long as we explore this place a few more times, we will be able to find the pattern to this.”

Fearless turned back to tell the rest, “Let’s head back!”

Just when Fearless was about to exit, the system notified him again.

“What?”

Fearless was no longer as calm and collected when he received the notification again.

To think that they could not pa.s.s through this door.

Under normal circ.u.mstances, even a maze should have the basic fundamentals. At the very least, there should be two doors for the players to feel the pattern…

However, this exit was clearly not pa.s.sable so this meant that there was only the entrance left.

If the maze only had a door without an end, entering and exiting before exiting and entering, wasn’t this a cycle of death?

“A fake map isn’t possible!” Fearless continued, “We have already received the notification for the next scene so this proves that the map isn’t fake. However, we cannot be sure if it is correct.”

“A real map that is wrong?” Everyone grew increasingly confused as they started scratching their heads.

“You can say so!” Fearless paused for a while, “Logically speaking, there are always going to be hidden aspects of a hidden dungeon. It will definitely not allow us to save especially since this is a first-time dungeon. However, the map is so huge and if we don’t save our data, we might need over ten hours to complete this dungeon. However, we are in a lawful society and the game has settings to prevent people from being addicted to it. “Hmm…” Hearing what Fearless said, everyone seemed to have understood him.

“If my guess is right…” Fearless touched his chin, “If we leave from the exit, the following scene will be the trap of the game designer. I cannot be certain if there will be a BOSS but I am certain that it will not be the crucial BOSS. Additionally, the monsters will be extremely hard to deal with. This is because a fake path is meant to waste your time so that you will be kicked offline for playing the game for too long.”

“F*ck! That despicable?!” Everyone was in shock.

“Do not question the character of the designer!” w.a.n.g Yu sighed as though he understood this perfectly.

“So what should we do? We cannot possibly continue wasting time like this too, right?” Everyone was starting to feel desperate.

If they continued wasting time like that, their eventual outcome would be the same as the earlier option.

Fearless thought for a while before saying, “Hmm, there is definitely a hidden exit here! Everyone, try looking again?”

“Hidden exit?” w.a.n.g Yu asked, “Didn’t you say that there is no saving point in this dungeon?”

“Indeed!” Fearless nodded.

“Then I got it!” w.a.n.g Yu pointed at the boiling lava pit and said, “The teleportation formation there is most likely the exit!”
