A week before the actual day, the city was already in the holiday mood.
After An Xiaxia’s repeated requests, a few lanterns went up in the Sheng family home, which Sheng Yize found hideous.
Dressed in their new clothes, Cola and Pepsi leaned on the windowsill, watching the snow outside. Beside them, Sheng Yize wore a thin sweater and was reading a book.

“I made dumplings, stewed beef and potatoes, and sweet and sour spare ribs!” An Xiaxia introduced each dish in turn.
Actually, if she hadn’t told him, Sheng Yize would never have guessed what the black, sticky substance on the plates were.
