Neither one of them spoke in the room.

An Xiaxia wrung the edge of her clothes with a desolate look on her face, which pained Sheng Yize.

“Xiaxia…” He called her name in a low voice and couldn’t bear to see her like this.

He slowly cleaned the milk stain on her hand, then raised her hand and gave it a kiss. He chuckled. “Don’t be so clumsy next time.”

Instinctively, An Xiaxia turned her wrist and clutched his hand.

Her grip was so tight and Sheng Yize could tell that she didn’t want him to go.

She finished all those words in one go and wet her lips. She then summoned up her courage, stood on her toes, and pecked Sheng Yize’s cheek. After that, she ran back to her room as quickly as she could.

The girl nervously closed the door behind her and left Sheng Yize standing outside, looking dazed.

After a long while, he felt his cheek and the smile widened on his face.
