Sheng Yize frowned. “Do you have a problem with that?”

Dearie Sheng seemed to be intimidated by him a lot. The boy pursed his lips and dared not say another word.

“I’ll go cook us some dinner. You two, wait here.” Sheng Yize gave his imperial decree and went into the kitchen.

Dearie Sheng put his suitcase — in the shape of a car — and his backpack in his room, then ran back to An Xiaxia and stared at her.

An Xiaxia was so fl.u.s.tered. She picked up the remote control and found the children’s channel, hoping that the cartoons would draw the kid’s attention away from her.

“Tch. Aren’t you too old for childish cartoons like this?” Dearie Sheng sneered.

An Xiaxia chuckled bitterly while keeping her sarcasm to herself. “Why are people of the Sheng family so hard to please?!”

She put down the remote control in embarra.s.sment and tried to strike up a conversation with the kid. She smiled at him. “Which year are you in?”

“It’s none of your business!” said the mini tsundere. Apparently, he didn’t like An Xiaxia at all.

An Xiaxia was even more embarra.s.sed. She used to think that kids liked her, but her charm didn’t work on Dearie Sheng.

Frustrated, she grabbed another candy, which made Dearie Sheng roll his eyes. “Only dummies like to eat candy…”

An Xiaxia felt so wronged.

She turned to look at the kitchen. The door was half closed and she could only make out the profile of the tall teenager inside looking down at a recipe. The serious look on his face was so attractive that it could make all girls go crazy.

An Xiaxia stared at him with unblinking eyes. It was true. A man who knew how to cook was the most charming…

“Stupid fangirl!” Dearie Sheng pursed his lips in disdain.

An Xiaxia was frustrated and turned to him. “Hey, what have I ever done to you? Why are you criticizing me all the time?”

Dearie Sheng crossed his legs and kept his face expressionless, looking like a mini version of Sheng Yize. He said scornfully, “Because I don’t like you. You’re ugly and dumb. I don’t want you as my brother’s girlfriend!”

An Xiaxia gritted her teeth and pinched Dearie Sheng’s cheeks. She completely overpowered the kid and gave his face a nice round of squeezes.

“So what if you don’t like me? I don’t like you, either! You stupid little kid!”

Dearie Sheng puffed up his cheeks. “Ugly woman! Ugly Xiaxia!”

The two got into a hot dispute. However, as soon as Sheng Yize walked out with the dishes, they sat up properly and played the good kids right away.

Sheng Yize darted a suspicious look at them and felt that the atmosphere was a little strange.

“Dinner’s ready.”

“Yes!”

The three sat down around the table and An Xiaxia took a bite. Her face lit up right away.

It was delicious! Sheng Yize was such a great cook!

“Sheng Yize, I never knew you could cook! You’re awesome!” An Xiaxia looked at him in admiration.

“Eat up, then.” Sheng Yize smiled and put some food into her bowl. He was overwhelmed by a sense of fulfillment when An Xiaxia almost buried her face in her bowl.

It was a great decision to take cooking cla.s.ses. Having a glutton for a girlfriend meant he had to have the best food all the time.
