“They said the lady earlier is not the real heir of the Bai family. Do you know who the real heir is?” The man asked mysteriously and paused before whispering, “The wife of Gu Juexi.”

“Gu Juexi, the one who killed Master Cheng?” One of the bodyguards asked in shock. “Why would the third patriarch take someone like that into the family?”

“She is the real heir of Bai family,” the man scoffed, “and as long as the first patriarch lives, the heir of Bai family will always be the head of the family despite the lack of de facto control.”

What the man said was true; as long as someone as loyal to the Bai family as the first patriarch lived, no one would be allowed to be disrespectful to the Bai family members.
