Zhen Xiu and the duo Lu Jian and Shen Ya remained in the ancestral hall for the following three days. It was a game of cat mouse between the beautiful couple and Shen Ya was the golden lightbulb in between them.

Shen Ya tried several times to make her friend appreciate Lu Jian's gesture of coming here and she even gave her the idea to have a good heart to heart talk with him but her stubborn friend would not understand any of it.

Zhen Xiu remained by her side during these four days and completely ignored her husband who was trying hard to get her attention.

Shen Ya pulled Zhen Xiu aside as they were packing their belongings for their return. Zhen Xiu was bewildered by the sudden pull but didn't mind in the least as it was just a pinch on her skin and nothing else.

"We have to go back today, remember!" Zhen Xiu replied innocently. The naive cover and pitiful eyes garnered softness and sympathy but Shen Ya was now accustomed to her new ideas.

Four days were enough for her to completely know her personality. There was a big change in her best friend not much noticeable if you are not close to her.

She was playing a game of fire with her own husband, teasing him and still not giving in his redemption.

The evil princess realized this fact and that's why she was so conscious about Lu Jian's approach. She didn't want to mislead him in the first place if she decided to leave him.

"What about him?" Zhen Xiu asked her friend.

Shen Ya wanted to reprimand her friend about her careless att.i.tude but then it was not something that can be changed just by reprimanding her. She used the gentle way and softly advised her friend, " I know you feel independent and are confused now but it doesn't mean that you have to play a game with your husband."

Zhen Xiu wanted to refute this, Shen Ya was slandering her as she was not playing around with anybody. It was her way of not committing to his relations.h.i.+p and nothing else.

Shen Ya saw her frown and immediately placed her fingers on Zhen Xiu's mouth. "It's best if you hear me out."

Zhen Xiu was a good friend and the fact that Shen Ya was the first one to show her warmth in her life, she respected her as an old sister so she naturally was quiet and allowed her to speak.

"I know your intentions are pure but your method is wrong. In fact, you are even way crueler than Lu Jian. He didn't like you so he avoided you to the point of giving you no impression but you are giving him a new hope every day when you flirt with him."

Shen Ya has observed her friend in the past four days and she was sure by now that Zhen Xiu was attracted to her husband but had no feelings. He was a good man but he did wrong the clone in the past and until she feels completely secure in his presence she didn't have the heart to think about anything else rather than her revenge.
