Lu Qiqi was finally back from her unknown trip as her husband Lu Ming was about to come back from his business trip. Lu Ming was away from C country and has accompanied their business partner to see the new development of the hotel project in A country.

It has been almost two months that he was not here. These were some of the best days in her life until her daughter-in-law returned from the hospital and claimed that she was aware of her hand behind that accident.

Frankly, Lu Qiqi never cared about Zhen Xiu that much and has never given her an ounce of importance as her daughter-in-law has always lacked a substance in her.

Lu Ming and Lu Jian both were good and has tried to fawn over her in hopes of making her happy and accept them but somewhere down the road she completely turned into a malicious woman.

Looking at the interaction between Lu Jian and Zhen Xiu she was sure of one thing that they were not like her. They were different and were working on their relations.h.i.+p. Maybe this was the true essence of love just like a coin. It needs to be balanced.

She knew that what she did to her daughter-in-law was wrong and she accepted her fault but it was too late to redeem herself for her mistake as she was already on the path of no return.

She was not a good mother she knew this fact and that's why most of the time she was indifferent to her son. It was better to break the relations.h.i.+p than try to act as she cared about him in the past.

After the death of her sister Xia Lin, Lu Qiqi learned the importance of her son and husband and had wanted to integrate herself in their life again but it was already too late. She was once an energetic and truthful girl that changed into an evil witch.

Her sister left two kids behind her Jiang Wui and Jiang Wei but unfortunately, she lost that little girl years ago in an accident and turned like this. It was her fault that she was so engraved in her imaginary dream that she neglected her real life.

She was ashamed of her actions but could not help herself as she had already crossed so many lines before her realization that she could not turn back and start again.

"Qiqi! You are awake." A warm voice came from the door.

Lu Qiqi turned around to see her husband coming inside with a worried look on his face. She knew that he was worried about her standing in the cold. He had been always like this but she had never appreciated his gesture in the past.

Now that she knows her mistakes, she was guilty of receiving his warmth and concern. She was a malicious woman full of lies and dirt. Not worthy of his love.

On the other hand, Lu Ming was even more worried to see her evading eyes. He was afraid that she was ill and was acting stubborn again just like before. She never liked to show her weak side to anybody from the beginning.

"Are you okay? Why are you in the cold?" He placed his coat over her and called the servant to serve her some hot tea and warm food.

Lu Ming just came back from his trip and was dead tired after traveling from traveling continuously for twenty hours. His flight was long but his main concern after watching his wife standing in the cold was to make her warm.

Lu Qiqi saw his caring concern and was even more ashamed because of her dirty deeds. If she was this sensible in the past and had not wronged her family and future than she would be able to feel his love. Now it was like a big burden for her.

There was something more wore that could be exposed if Zhen Xiu remembered why she wanted to kill her. Lu Qiqi was sure that Zhen Xiu was not completely sure of her actions and was only playing in the dark. She didn't know the reason behind her drastic step to kill her or rather she has not recovered her memory.

"I am alright. No need to shout." Lu Qiqi curtly told him to stop his overexerted concern for her. It was making her even more terrible and she felt like confessing her crimes in front of this good man.

He was Lu Jian's father but completely different from his cold nature and silent personality. He had a warm smile and a good personality as compared to his son. This was the reason that he could accept Zhen Xiu as his daughter-in-law without any different thoughts.

A good man that she didn't deserve in her life.
