Jiang Wui thought it was a great idea to check her previous medical records. If they may find something different and noteworthy in their search it will probably help Zhen Xiu.

"Good Idea." Li Wei commented.

Everything was normal for now and Lu Jian was again thinking with his brain and not doing things based on his emotions. Li Wei felt it was time for her to go now.

She could not tolerate being here for more than this. "I will be leaving then, a.s.sistant Jiang."

Li Wei informed him and left.

Jiang Wui wanted to stop her but then stopped himself from calling her back. Since she has already solved his initial problem, he will manage things from here on.

It was already too much to ask her this kind of favor when they don't even know each other on a personal basis.

Shen Ya who was waiting to hear about Zhen Xiu's treatment was dumbstruck at the sudden turn of events.

Firstly, she was angry at Li Wei because of her harsh words but then realized the girl didn't really mean any harm to Zhen Xiu. She was only trying to help them and think about more ways of treating Zhen Xiu.

Secondly, she was surprised at Lu Jian's fast reaction in this situation. His att.i.tude for Zhen Xiu was completely different from the past. She has seen them getting along this morning and even knew that Zhen Xiu was again giving Lu Jian a chance to prove his feelings for her.

She didn't believe that he was actually serious for her. She thought he was only playing with her and trying to act favorably in hopes of getting a divorce.

Shen Ya was bewildered to see him actually concerned for Zhen Xiu. It was like he was transformed into a complete beast that was out for blood if he couldn't find his mate. The animalistic instinct and the worried gaze for his wife made Shen Ya feel uncomfortable for the first time in her life.

She was completely wrong in her speculation this time. He was serious about Zhen Xiu. Her guess was wrong.

The more serious thing in the entire ordeal was Lu Jian was trying to find Zhen Xiu's medical record and that too from an orphanage.

This was, in reality, a dead end and soon he will realize it.

She needs to do something before he finds out. Shen Ya mused.

"Jiang Wui, listen to me." Shen Ya called him. He was the only one that can stop Lu Jian from finding out the truth about Zhen Xiu's life.

This was the only thing to keep her safe from her family members. She was not yet twenty-five-years old and needed to hide from her family. If they knew that she was hiding here, they will start attacking her soon and that means the entire sacrifice that Aunt Yue made for her will go down the drain.

She has to stop Lu Jian from finding out her truth and alerting those Zhen family members.

"Yes."

Shen Ya caught his hands and urgently pleaded in a grave tone. "You want me to become your girlfriend right?"

She questioned him.

Jiang Wui was surprised at her sudden grave tone and out of the blue question. He nodded his head.

"Yes, I do but what is the matter with you? We are in the hospital and have to find something to help Zhen Xiu. Why you are suddenly asking me this?"

Shen Ya continued to hold him. "Just tell me! You want me in your life, right? If your answer is yes then I am ready to even marry you."

Jiang Wui was again surprised. No! He was shocked at her sudden agreement.

"Are you alright? You sound like you are sick. Wait; let me call a doctor for you."

Jiang Wui got out of her hold and immediately tried calling for a doctor.

"Stop!" Shen Ya shouted.

She wanted to stop Lu Jian from finding out the truth behind Zhen Xiu's past. She has to do this even if it means that she has to forget about her disgust towards men. For Zhen Xiu, she has to do it.

"I am not sick. Answer me, I will be your wife but I have a condition. If you are willing to answer positively then its good otherwise don't even think about me in the future."

Shen Ya threatened him. She knew what she was doing was terrible and she was even humiliating his feelings for her but for Zhen Xiu's life, she has to do it.

Jiang Wui's naturally smiling face lost its s.h.i.+ne. He was shocked, and even disgusted at her statement.

She was comparing his feelings to a condition. Jiang Wui was hurt by her words. He always smiled and tried to joke around everyone but it doesn't mean that he is always happy and cool.

Jiang Wui's eyes hardened and he turned around. He wanted to give this girl a piece of his mind but as soon as he saw her tear struck face, his resolve shattered into pieces.

The girl he knew would never cry even in most terrible conditions. Even if she cried, she would never show her tears in front of anybody. She didn't like to show her weakness in front of the world.

He immediately came near her and wiped her tears.

"Hey! Don't cry. Tell me, what is wrong? I will solve it for you." Jiang Wui calmly said and wiped her cheeks.

He was treating her like a small, fragile child and sweetly promising her everything.

Shen Ya was feeling very bad at the moment. She knew that what she said has hurt him but instead of being angry at her and ignoring her; he was here, by her side, wiping her tears.

She knew she was wrong but it was the only thing that came to her mind and she blurted out those horrible words without even thinking about his feelings. She was ashamed at her selfish decision.

"I am sorry but please promise me that you will do what I am asking." Shen Ya kept on crying.

Jiang Wui calmly wiped her tears and helped her sit on the chair. "Okay! Little girl. What is it? Tell me."

"You have to stop Lu Jian from getting those records."

Jiang Wui didn't understand why Shen Ya was reacting badly just because of some measly papers and didn't want Lu Jian to find them.

"Why? You know if it was before I could even try to stop him but now I don't think I can stop him even if I give it a shot." Jiang Wui bitterly smiled.
