"The mysterious woman bore no good intentions. I had to send you away, so she would not have the chance to kidnap you," Master Fengxing remonstrated kindly.

Shen Nianmo could not hold back his amus.e.m.e.nt. "Why did you have to make it sound so pompous? You invited all the other masters to launch an ambush together. How awesome was that? She came alone and walked singlehandedly into the battle. Even if I were present in the Fengyun Valley, how would she possibly kidnap me? Were you not confident of your ambush, or in me?"

Master Fengxing remained quiet. He was indeed not confident enough in Shen Nianmo, for he was worried that he would be charmed by Gu Xijiu and walk away with her willingly.

"Nianmo…" Master Fengxing struggled to find his words and was interrupted before he could continue, "Master, please help me to invite all my masters. I have something to say."

He hesitated, but still did as told and sent his men to invite the masters. Out of the nine masters, two were severely injured, but Master Fengxing had treated their injuries. Walking around would not come as a significant problem at this moment.

The Fengyun Valley was very much destroyed. Almost all the buildings there were ruined. Therefore, all of them decided to gather around at the plaza. Only three out of all ten masters had personally met Shen Nianmo, so it was the first time for them to see his face. When Master Fengxing introduced him to the masters, they were utterly surprised that he looked like an adult. One of them had even called out his nickname. "Mr. Fuyi!"

The master had an encounter with Shen Nianmo before, during an exploration. They spent about half an hour together, but Shen Nianmo never revealed his real ident.i.ty and announced his name as Mr. Fuyi instead.

After the encounter, the master was planning to befriend him; little did he know that Mr. Fuyi would become his future disciple- Shen Nianmo. At present, that master had mixed feelings about the situation. 

"Nianmo, all your masters are now present. What would you like to say? You may now speak," Master Fengxing finally said.

All eyes were on Shen Nianmo; his eyes swept across all his masters and commented, "I would like to express my grat.i.tude for your tireless effort." Having said that, he bowed before them,

The ten masters stared at each other in dismay, obviously at a loss for words.

Spiritual Master Yuhang had been guiding him for the past three years, so he spoke up, "Nianmo, you should address us as your masters.'

Shen Nianmo looked at him fixedly and commented with a half smile, "Chill. This is also the thing that I am about to bring up today."

Utterly surprised, Spiritual Master Yuhang could sense that something was not right. "Nianmo!"

"Nianmo, what are you trying to do? All of us are your father's friends. We are also your masters, a.s.signed by your father himself," Master Fengxing continued.

Shen Nianmo raised his hand and said nonchalantly, "My elders, please listen to me."

The crowd went silent.

Shen Nianmo continued, "Have you all accepted me as your disciple because of my parents and my name?"

The crowd said nothing.

They were willing to break their rules by sharing their disciple with other masters because of his unique ident.i.ty – the son of the Celestial and Demon beings.
