Gu Xijiu was a little bit thirsty. So, she did not reject him; alternately, she thanked him. She took up the gla.s.s to take a sip of the liquid. It was fruity, and the taste was not bad. Therefore, she finished the juice in just two gulps.

Di Fuyi looked at her curiously and asked, "Are you not afraid that I had put something in this water?"

Gu Xijiu could not help but laugh. "What would you put in the water?"

"Uhm, maybe I put an aphrodisiac pill inside." He looked at her as if he wanted to laugh.

Gu Xijiu was speechless. Was it appropriate for a six-year-old kid to tease a girl like this? He was basically teasing someone who could be his grandmother. 

Gu Xijiu responded wittily, "I believe you have better things to do." In her current state, if he really wanted to do something bad to her, he did not have to use poison. The juice that was given by Di Fuyi was good. After drinking, it quenched not only her thirst but also relieved her hunger; even the pain in the chest seemed to be reduced. She pushed the cup forward and asked, "One more gla.s.s."

Di Fuyi had teased her so blatantly, but she could remain calm and did not even blush. He was not used to such a response. Quietly, he poured another gla.s.s for her.

When Gu Xijiu was about to drink it, Di Fuyi suddenly asked her, "Did you just blush?"

Gu Xijiu's hand shook, and she spilled a few drops of juice from the gla.s.s. She would never tell him that she thought of that sweet dream! It would be a huge embarra.s.sment!

Di Fuyi smiled gently and asked, "Why are you so nervous?"

Gu Xijiu simply lied. "Probably because of my injury; the blood flow is not stable..."

That was why her blood pumped up to her face? Gu Xijiu felt that this lie was not good enough. She could detect that Di Fuyi's eyes had been on her the whole time. She was even starting to feel numb just because of it. 

She cleared her throat and decided to avoid this topic. She then sniffed the liquid inside the cup and asked, "What is this juice?" She thought of making it for herself in the future. 

"Juice? This is not juice; it is the dew of poplar from Buddha Guanyin.

Gu Xijiu rubbed her eyebrows. Although fairies and monsters were everywhere on this continent, there was no Buddha Guanyin in this world. There was no Buddha Rulai or any other G.o.ds that people usually recognized in the modern world. The characters in the myths and legends simply did not exist.
