The Evil Consort Above An Evil King 2493 A Small Pot Was Not Enough To Cook The Massive Kun

Gu Xijiu had managed to escape from Leguo City reasonably easily because the young palace master had to deal with the chaos that she left behind. Guardian Hua had the carriage ready, so they quickly embarked on their secret journey back to the Devil Kingdom.

Leguo City was tens of thousands of miles away from the Devil Kingdom. Furthermore, it was safe to a.s.sume that Yun Yanli had set up many obstacles along the way, so Gu Xijiu had to keep a lookout the entire journey. 

To keep control over all the cities, Yun Yanli had some of his men traveling from city to city to inform one another about the latest affairs. The men also collected information to disseminate back to their leader. Therefore, Gu Xijiu needed to think out of the box to keep her team under the radar. 

She specifically asked Guardian Hua to get her a carriage that looked similar to what the young palace master's men would use. In the end, they decided to steal one of the wagons that belonged to the young palace master. Gu Xijiu had to kill the men to seize the vehicle as a safety precaution. Guardian Hua took the disguise of one of the men that were dead, while Guardian Jin pretended to be the coachman. As a precautionary measure, Gu Xijiu took the form of a male attendant. As for Di Fuyi, he was still a jade statue that sat quietly in the carriage.

Along the way, they had encountered several stops but were able to pa.s.s the security checks easily due to their perfect disguises. Guardian Hua had all the necessary travel permits with him and knew exactly where the checkpoints would be and when the people would change s.h.i.+fts. Hence, none of the inspections managed to pick up anything suspicious. 

The entire time, the two guardians were unaware that the jade statue was actually Di Fuyi. What Gu Xijiu told them was that the Devil King had requested for the jade statue to be transported safely back to the Devil Kingdom. It was the most critical task, and failure was not an option. Both men agreed without further questions.

To prevent any suspicions from the two guardians, Gu Xijiu had requested for them to stay outside the carriage for most of the journey. Guardian Hua hardly spent any time in the wagon and would mostly stay outside with Guardian Jin, who was their coachman. He would only hide in the carriage whenever they were crossing the border checks.

Gu Xijiu was eager to keep the matter private as she was concerned that any unnecessary disruption would make Di Fuyi's situation worsen. In fact, she tried not to disturb him either but would occasionally check his pulse to see if his vitals were returning. Unfortunately, she was disappointed every time that she checked.

There were spies from the Devil Kingdom in every city in the Shura World; they would send news to Gu Xijiu's team from time to time. Guardian Jin would be the first to be notified. He would then pa.s.s the message on to Gu Xijiu. Even while traveling in the carriage away from Leguo City, she was still able to know what was happening in the city. She knew that Yun Yanli had returned.

Upon learning this, she immediately asked Guardian Hua to turn around and race towards the mountainside. It would seem that Gu Xijiu did not spend the past year traveling in the outside world for nothing. A year filled with travel was enough to get her familiar with many geographical features of the different places in the Shura World. She learned that there was a very hidden cave in the mountain, so she decided to keep the jade statue in the cave. Guardians Jin and Hua were asked to keep the statue safe in the cave and wait for her instructions. That was the time when Kun Xueyi called.

She immediately left the mountain using her teleportation technique. To be safe, she put a few paper dolls on the back of a few beasts and made them run around. This was merely a way to confused Yun Yanli if he chose to go after her. 

She then went to another valley that was not too far away. The valley was rather empty, aside from the numerous boulders that were present. These boulders were fairly large and seemed to have already formed a unique array. She then called Kun Xueyi and asked him to guide Yun Yanli towards the valley.

Gu Xijiu was able to predict many things that had happened. However, she was not prepared to see Kun Xueyi's body shrink this much. When they were finally hidden away in the stone array, Gu Xijiu finally had the time to take a proper look at him and was shocked.
