Gu Xijiu looked down slightly and suddenly asked, "What about Long Siye?"

It was a very normal question, but Wu Wuyan lost her cool out of the blue. She paused for a second and then sneered again. "What about him?"

"Don't you remember him?"

"Why would I remember him?" Wu Wuyan asked.

"Oh, since you don't remember, he actually..." Gu Xijiu suddenly paused and decided not to continue. She just smiled and closed her eyes slightly.

Wu Wuyan glanced at her and pouted her lips, but in the end, she did not add anything. She sat on a chair with her hands supporting her head to one side as if she was taking a nap, but her eyelashes trembled slightly even though her eyes were closed.

The woman had lived for 10,000 years. There was nothing that she had not experienced or seen. She was well aware that Gu Xijiu was trying to trap her, and she did not want to be fooled. Nonetheless, the serenity of her mind was certainly absent. 

As far as Wu Wuyan could remember, she always seemed to lack emotions. She had played many characters and been attached to different men throughout her life. Naturally, she had slept with some of them before. She had played the role of a loving partner, but she had never been sincere about it deep down in her heart. She would not hesitate to kill any of her partners if she needed to do so. She was that heartless. 

It was only when she was with Long Siye that she had some inexplicit feelings that she could not understand. It was the first time she could not bear to kill someone. Of course, this feeling was very ambiguous. She did not think this was love, but Long Siye certainly warmed her cold heart more than any other man. 

She had received numerous missions since leaving Gu Xijiu's body before eventually being tasked to roam the Blue Fox planet as a spy. She had only returned to the Starry Crescent Land recently.

After she returned, the Starry Crescent Land had changed significantly. Many people that she once knew were no longer present, including Long Siye. She secretly made inquiries, and most of the people claimed that he had disappeared after experiencing a catastrophe - some said he went to the Upper Bound to become an immortal, others said that he had turned into dust after the catastrophe. They could not even find a strand of his hair. 

There were various stories about him, but none of the statements could not be verified. Hence, Wu Wuyan never knew what happened to the man. After all, she was Fan Qians.h.i.+'s subordinate. She was a killer, a chess piece. She wors.h.i.+ped him and was willing to be used by him.

Fan Qians.h.i.+ had many a.s.sa.s.sins at his disposal, but he had abandoned a number of them over the years. Wu Wuyan was the only one that he would bring with him regardless of his ident.i.ty. He told her that to be his chess piece, she had to be faithful to him, and could not even have her own personal feelings.

She obliged, and she did it very well! Even though she developed a strange feeling toward Long Siye, she did not show it. So, she did not expect Gu Xijiu would bring him up today.

Long Siye's figure appeared in her mind. She had not seen him for more than 200 years and certainly did not expect to remember him so clearly. She definitely wanted to know if he was still alive. However, she could not ask Gu Xijiu. In fact, she could not even reveal any concerns for Long Siye. Otherwise, Fan Qians.h.i.+ would remove all her 'concerns' from existence. 

She glanced at Gu Xijiu at the corner of her eyes and noticed Gu Xijiu looked calm and did not have any intention to talk.
