These blood beads fell on the jar and spread around the containers. After a while, the jars trembled slightly as though they were alive, and mist began to rise into the air. The color of the mist that appeared on each jar was different - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, navy blue, and purple. 

The jar looked rustic and had complicated patterns engraved on them. The designs looked like insects and beasts scattered all around the jars. In the foggy mist, the designs seemed to twist and toil, which made it look like they were coming alive. Meanwhile, the color of the jars gradually changed as well, each getting redder than before. 

Apparently, there was something in the jar. The beads from Fan Qians.h.i.+'s fingertips continued to drop onto the jars and evaporate with the mist. As the jars continued to shake vigorously on the table, there was a dull scream coming from the insides as if some evil beasts were held captive inside and could not escape.

It sounded like the cries of many grievances that would easily run chills down anyone's spine. The mist gradually grew thicker while the patterns became more vivid. Additionally, a pinkish liquid that looked similar to the ones from peach blossom petals that bloomed in March appeared to ooze out of the jar. It looked delicious. 

It was clear that the entire process took a lot of energy and effort. Fan Qians.h.i.+ only collected a few drops of the liquid, but already had sweat all over his forehead. By the time he managed to acc.u.mulate a gla.s.s of the liquid, he was already drenched in his own sweat.

When he was done with everything, the mist hovering above the seven jars finally dissipated, and the pattern on the jar seemed to become lifeless again. Fan Qians.h.i.+ smashed the jars all at once. He was relieved that everything was done according to the plan. He waved his sleeves, and the seven jars turned into dust altogether.

He held the precious liquid in his hand with a faint smile on his face. Having some time to relax, he flipped a switch and managed to access CCTV footage of Gu Xijiu and Wu Wuyan sitting in the cabin silently. 

His gaze fell on Wu Wuyan's face, and he sighed softly. Wu Wuyan was the most loyal dog under his command. He really could not bear to sacrifice her, but… He then turned his eyes to Gu Xijiu's face and stopped for a moment. There was a sense of unwillingness at the bottom of his eyes.

He had been working sp hard for so long to get to where he was today. He was really so close to success. He could not let himself lose the upper hand now. With that thought in mind, he left the room.

Fan Qians.h.i.+ emerged from the screen like a ghost again. Gu Xijiu did not seem to be surprised to see him this time but was secretly on her guard.

On the other hand, Wu Wuyan was relieved to see her master return. Finally, she did not have to worry that Gu Xijiu could give her a hard time. 

"What did you both talk about while I was gone? Did you enjoy each other's company?" Fan Qians.h.i.+ smiled as he casually asked.

"It was good. Miss Gu told me stories about her pets." Wu Wuyan did not hide anything from Fan Qians.h.i.+.

Fan Qians.h.i.+ did not have any visible reaction to her statement. However, he answered, "Her pets are interesting, but they are not very useful."

"I treat them as friends instead of using them as tools. Why would I care whether they are useful or not?" Gu Xijiu could not hold her thoughts back.

Fan Qians.h.i.+ shook his head slightly and faintly replied, "Xijiu, remember that a pet is a pet. We only raise them if they are useful. Since we are responsible for raising them, we need to make sure that they obey us. Only then will they be truly obedient and listen to our orders."

"Uhm, it seems that this is your way of training a pet. It is extremely cruel, in my opinion. What if one day they are injured and are no longer useful? Are you going to kill or discard them?"
