Unfortunately for Yin Jiusi, the couple were getting very comfortable with one another in front of him and had no issues displaying their affection for one another publicly. As a result, Yin Jiusi chose to sit opposite them to keep a distance.

Apart from watching them make plans for their wedding, he also had to witness many couply moments from the pair. For example, Di Fuyi would prepare her tea and serve the dishes to her personally. He would even remove any sh.e.l.ls from the seafood before serving it to his lady. The man had to inspect everything before Gu Xijiu was served.

Prior to this uncomfortable encounter, Yin Jiusi deemed himself to be a rather popular man among women, thinking that he knew everything that a woman wanted. However, what National Master Di had displayed right before his eyes was way better than he could ever imagine! Many of the courtesies he offered to Gu Xijiu were acts he could never see himself doing for a woman. 

Even though Gu Xijiu looked a little reluctant to accept his chivalry, she did not turn him down. In fact, her slight discomfort made them look exactly like a couple that had just fought. In just that one meal with them, Yin Jiusi became fully convinced that they were actually a couple. With that, he felt lucky for not getting himself involved in their relations.h.i.+p; otherwise, he would be right in the middle of their conflict. 

Not all was lost for Yin Jiusi, for Di Fuyi also took the time to talk to him about their next steps. Despite a brief discussion over a meal, Yin Jiusi was impressed by National Master Di's political wisdom and his well-thought plans. The man was indeed the pillar behind the rapid development of the two kingdoms he had graced.

Moreover, he was well informed about the complicated organizational affiliation in the Devil Kingdom. Every man had his own character, but Di Fuyi already had it all figured out. His a.n.a.lysis included many names who had the potential to become his allies and others who had the chance of becoming his enemies. Most importantly, he also came up with a list of people who could end up becoming his right-hand men. Every point was very well organized and articulated, so Di Fuyi did not need to talk much. Hearing his brilliant views expressed succinctly had suddenly enlightened Yin Jiusi.

In return, Di Fuyi also asked for Yin Jiusi's opinions and listened to him attentively without uttering a single word when he spoke. By the end of the sharing, Di Fuyi gave him some advice and suggestions. Those included some priorities that he needed to sort out.

Their discussion went quite far - they even started planning how to plot against the regent. Meanwhile, Gu Xijiu listened to every bit of their rather important plan and sighed. It appeared that Di Fuyi seemed to trust her wholeheartedly, with no intention to keep her away from any of his plans.

Despite being the creator of the universe, her primary role was to secure the peace and harmony of all six worlds by getting rid of or at least reducing the impact of catastrophes that would cause great suffering. Yet, she was never interested in politics, nor had she been involved. She was far too superior to be involved in this sort of mundane discussion, anyway.

Fortunately, she had spent enough time traveling to different places around the world to hear from the grounds itself about the public opinion they had of their leaders. She would typically disguise herself when she did so. However, no amount of research could solve the actual problem, which was her lack of involvement in politics. Therefore, the discussion had become an eye-opener to Gu Xijiu.

She remained quiet the whole time, not because she had nothing to say, but because of the impropriety of her political stance. As the creator of the universe, she was forbidden to make any plans for any party.

Nevertheless, at the end of the day, Yin Jiusi left with a happy heart.

Gu Xijiu took a look at Di Fuyi, who was still sitting comfortably in the restaurant with no intention to leave. "Aren't you going to the Devil Kingdom? Why don't we go together with him?"

"Now is not the time."

Gu Xijiu then took a sip of tea and continued, "The tasks you a.s.signed to him will be quite a burden. Any miscalculation would send his whole family to their death. Aren't you worried about getting him killed by the regent? After all, he is the candidate that you have been looking for to replace the current Devil King. The execution of your plan depends on him."

Di Fuyi briefly replied, "If he cannot fulfill the tasks, it only means that he does not have the potential to be a good ruler. If he wants my help, he needs to prove his worth."
