He could not help but glance over at Gu Xijiu. He had not expected that her to be this observant. If he were alone, he would not have hesitated to venture into the place. However, now that he had Gu Xijiu with him in the carriage, he was certainly not going to let her take any risks. He could only mark the location for now and inform the others about it later on.

The ground that she was stepping on was not covered in snow, but instead wisps of thin and snowy clouds. The clouds felt extremely cold. The temperature of the surrounding area was probably below negative 10 degree Celsius. It was so cold that her boots were starting to freeze and attach itself to the layer of the cloud where she had landed.
Strangely enough, she could hear sounds of utterly dreary cries and screams coming from within the clouds. The evil influence was starting to affect her.

She quickly manipulated the Fire Power to circle her body. She then pulled out the sword that was given to her by Di Fuyi. It was a parting gift to her before he left and was said to have the ability to kill all sorts of demons.

She had not tried using the sword against demons before, but she was sure that the sword was able to penetrate through the wizard's barrier.
She raised the sword and poked through the barrier.

It was as though she was poking through a pile of cotton, as she felt that her sword had hit nothing. The floating clouds shook a little, but it did not break. Didn't it work?

While she was trying to find other ways, Mu Dian had finally landed and was standing next to her. He cast a spell, and a fire sword could be seen forming at his fingertips. He raised his sword to hit the barrier.
The clouds swayed a little, but still, it did not break.

Mu Dian frowned, as what he just did was a technique that he had learned from the Lord which could be used to break through any form of evil wizard's barrier, and worked every single time. Apparently, it did not have any effect this time around.

He then tried some other methods, but they were all in vain.
He furrowed his brows, thinking about the situation that he was currently for the first time. It also indicated that whatever that was hidden beneath the barrier was nothing ordinary. It could be of great danger.

"Boss Gu, this place is dangerous. It seems like neither of us can break through it. Why don't we meet up with the rest of the team and…"

Before Mu Dian could finish, he was shocked as he saw what she was trying to do.

Gu Xijiu took out a jade bottle and poured some of the liquid inside on top of the clouds. The clouds started to sizzle.

"Come, Ying Yannuo. Hit it here!" Gu Xijiu growled and lifted up the sword in her hands. She was aiming at the point where the liquid had dripped.

Mu Dian followed her lead as both of them swung their swords at the same time.

They could hear a cracking sound as they clouds were being sliced through. The clouds swirled and rolled to the side, forming a large hole. From the hole, they could hear the sound of people bawling and fighting.

Gu Xijiu was shocked when she heard the voices. They belonged to her friends.

"d.a.m.n, there is no way out of here!" The voice belonged to Le Zixing.

"There is no signal here as well," said Le Qingxing.

"Oh, no! They are coming our way! Brother Yan Chen, I am scared -" Lan Waihu's voice trembled with fear.

"There is nothing to be scared of; we will kill all of them! The more we manage to kill the better!"
