She had left Le Qingxing behind somewhere about five kilometers away and had asked her to wait. She grabbed onto Yan Chen before teleporting them both away and arrived near the swamp again.

After successfully reuniting Yan Chen and Le Qingxing together, Gu Xijiu was about to teleport away when Yan Chen quickly grabbed her hand, "Xijiu, where are you going?"

Gu Xijiu tapped on his shoulder, "I'm only going to check on him, and perhaps, I could even teleport him to safety if necessary. Don't worry. I'll not show up in front of him if he is not in any danger. Both of you should go and look for Little Fox but remember to stay safe…"

In a split second, Gu Xijiu had disappeared.

She reappeared on a big tree which stood beside the swamp. The big tree was about 10 meters tall and bloomed all year long. Although it was winter, there were a lot of green leaves and branches growing on the tree. Thus, Gu Xijiu could hide in it while she observed the situation.
The swamp seemed borderless and looked like a ma.s.sive puddle of black mud. Occasionally, Gu Xijiu could see some bubbles bobbing on the surface, and the area was covered with an awful stench of rotting smell.

Gu Xijiu suddenly had an idea! She secretly jumped down and poked a tree branch into the swamp. Her eyes sparkled as she observed the mud on the tree branch.

It was not mud but in fact petroleum! This entire area was a gigantic pool of petroleum! Of course, other than the petroleum, there must have been something else at the bottom.

She threw a leaf the size of her palm into the swamp. It did not float on the surface but sank right to the bottom...

Although the zombies did not seem to be afraid of fire, they were seemingly frightened of spiritual fire. Unfortunately, it would not last long against the zombies even though it was strong. However, it would be a different case if they were using petroleum to fuel the fire...

"The swamp is flammable! As soon as the zombies have fallen into the swamp, get out of her immediately. I am going to burn them to ashes!" Gu Xijiu told him.

Ying Yannuo frowned, "But they aren't afraid of fire…"

"They would most likely be afraid of it this time as the swamp is made entirely of petroleum. The fire will last for a few days if it is set to burn. Besides, the fire will have a very high temperature which is hot enough to melt steel. Wouldn't this be the perfect crematorium to burn the zombies!?" Gu Xijiu was very confident with her idea!

Ying Yannuo knew she had many ideas and felt relieved, "Great!"
In the blink of an eye, both of them had come up with a plan. However, they encountered some difficulties when they tried executing their plan.

When they had almost arrived at the swamp, the zombies stopped moving one by one as though they had sensed the danger which was ahead of them and Ying Yannuo was unable to lure them forward any further.

At the same time, something was roaring from afar...

The sound was strange, and its voice was hoa.r.s.e and loud. When Gu Xijiu heard the roar, she felt that her ears were buzzing as though her eardrums were going to burst.

It was as though the white-clothed zombies had heard something calling for them as they began to turn around and were about to run in the opposite direction.

Gu Xijiu panicked and was at a lost for words. F*ck! Was it all just wasted effort?!
