She stared at her phone until her screen dimmed. The room fell into darkness once more.

It was late at night now. She had not eaten lunch or dinner and she should be ravenous by now. However, she had no appet.i.te and did not feel hungry.

She thought that Yin Shaojie would return soon. If he knew that she had not eaten, his heart would soften and he would buy delicious food for her, right?

Mu Xiaoxiao held on to this hope as she waited for him.

The light in the room was still unlit.

Mu Xiaoxiao felt lethargic as she sat on the bed dazedly, watching the scenery outside as she daydreamed.
