Chapter 1907 - Trade I

"This should be enough!" I said as I closed the storage box and handed it to the drone. This is a tax, tribute, whatever should one call it, it will be going to the Pyramid.

I had added lots of rare and precious plants, some rare material, copies of books I had found, and even rare artifacts such as high-end calibrators and weapons. This will be my first tribute to the Pyramid; even though I am not doing it with my real ident.i.ty, it matters a lot to me.

It is thousands of years old tradition and responsibility to each Tyrant; each of our contributions helps Pyramid manage its expenses and operations, which keeps the world safe.

It had been a day I had returned to the fortress, and the first thing I had done after returning was sent mail to the teacher. Unlike other places, I was posted in an important place, and it would be hard to call me back in a day to two, especially now when the situation of Scorcese Valley developed to this, and I had revealed my talents.

Teacher would have to pull some strings and call on some favors to call me back to the academy, and it will take time; I just hope it will not take too much time.

I had accomplished what I had come to accomplish here and also got 25% of all resources I needed, which I had not thought I would get, and now, I want to start collecting other resources that I need. There are some places I have to go to collect them, they are not ruins.

Though I will be going into the ruines, how many ruins I will have to go will totally depend on after I have done with the two sources I have. both of them offered hope of huge amount of resources for me, and I hope to get at least 30% from them, this would make this lot easier and less time-consuming.

Resource hunting isn't the only thing I have to do; there are is still a most important thing, and that is completing my Inheritance; I am still not finished with it, but with the material I have got, I am confident that I would be finished within few months, it would not take another year as I had expected.

After I finished my dinner with Ashlyn, I walked out of my room. The small trade fair is today, it will be Tyrants, and select few Emperors would be invited to open their eyes to the big picture. I planned to exchange a lot of things at this trade fair.

I may have gotten a lot but there many people who had gotten great things too. There were more than a thousand herb halls in the Astral Garden Tower, and I had explored around fifty; it is without question there would be lots of great stuff at the trade fair.

I was on my way to the arena where the fair is held when I saw spotted Thea and Williams, "Jordan, are you going to the trade fair?" Thea asked as she stopped for me. "Yes," I replied, and I found her looking strangely at me.

"There is a little warning I have to give you, Jordan," Thea said with a twinkling in her eyes; she is not the only one. Williams also looking at me in the same way.

"What is it?" I asked, not having a great feeling seeing their expressions. "It is spread that aside from the leaders, you are the biggest beneficiary in the tower. With your formation breaking ability, you have collected lots of plants, some of which could help some people in great length," Thea said very slowly.

I had expected something like that might happened, and seeing it happened, I couldn't help the headache coming from the trouble I was going to have in the next few minutes.

People are not idiots; many have seen me breaking formation after rare and precious plants. Most people know about it already, and those who do not know got to know after few hours of returning, and now, I will be hounded for it. 

It is not all bad; I could even use this as an opportunity for what I want; these will have many things I need, and I have to be careful not to exchange too many precious plants for the things I need otherwise, teacher or that old woman would let me sleep in peace.

The news of the tower had already spread and windfall we have gotten from it. All the organizations would be eying this as this tower had resources that made tens of elites Tyrants, and those things that could help Tyrants are always in heavy demand.

I have to give these precious herbs to the academy, not only due to the obligations but also due to necessity. We have much fewer Tyrants than we should for the coming war; we need more Tyrants, and they also need to be powerful. 

Many mighty organizations with thousands of years of history had fallen in the wars, and I don't want the academy to add to that list too. To survive the coming war, every part of the academy needs to be stronger, so we not only survive the war but could also make a huge contribution to it.

I had already made the list of plants and resources I could trade, and those are off-limits, and I am going to be following that list strictly unless I get something very interesting.

Soon, we reached the arena and entered inside.

Just as I pa.s.sed the restriction and entered the arena, my runes became active like never before, desiring hundreds of things present in the small bustling fair in front of me.
