"The secret legion really lives up to being a right hand of War commander," General said as we reached near the fort. All our forces, including the masters, have retreated inside the fort, leaving only two of us outside.

"That Vidette was extremely powerful, but you have contended against it. If not for you, I would have had a hard time stopping it with that b.a.s.t.a.r.d breathing down my neck," The General said as he looked back toward the Grimm fort.

"It was not easy General, I had paid a huge price for that," I said, and General is not surprised to hear that. "Are you injured? The energy of the Vidette is extremely dangerous?" General asked with worry flas.h.i.+ng in his eyes, "No, I have dealt with the energy, but I have suffered some injuries for will have to recuperate," I said without going into much detail.

"Good, for the next few days, I want to you do focus on recovery; I want you to be at your best at the next battle," General said; I nodded thankfully.

Clap Clap Clap

As we entered the command center, I was greeted with huge applause, but I did not stay even a second to enjoy it. I nodded at people applauding me before walking into the teleportation formation.

No one questioned me leaving early; they also understood I had fought an extremely hard battle and needed to recuperate.

The next second, I appeared in my quarters and immediately stopped the essence burning as I did; I felt a weakness like never before and collapsed on the floor.

My armor disappeared from my body, and thin, I with a faintly sickly complexion lay motionless on the floor, not having the energy to even twitch my finger.

I laid motionless for about an hour before a formation sheet with formation appeared below me, and the next second, twelve things appeared. They are from fruits to essences to the blood crystal; the resources are precious enough to even catch the envy of the grandmasters.

I activated the formation and lay motionless as I let the formation do its job. Before leaving the Pyramid, I had expected, I might come across such circ.u.mstances and prepare beforehand; the only regret is that I only have one set of them.

Before the next battle, I will have to procure one set. If I have come across the Voilet Vidette again, I might have to burn my blood again, and these resources would come in handy.

These precious resources would help me recover my life essence faster, though I will still have to rest and refrain from doing any heavy battle. I think I will manage that; it won't take me long to recover to my peak, and when I do, I will practice my art immediately.

For the next battle, I will need to be strong, strong enough to not fall into reach the state I am in right now. As for defeating the Vidette, I did not even think about it. The Vidette is more famous for its defensive power than its offensive one. It is extremely hard to breach their defense; I need to be a lot, a lot stronger before I could even think about it.

I took a deep breath and shook those thoughts of battle; currently, I should be focusing more on my recovery rather than the battle I will fight in a few days.

This recovery formation is extremely slow; I had designed it to be slow, it will take six hours for those recovery resources to merge into me, and thankfully, I do not need to be awake for it; I could sleep while the resources fused in me.

I did just that, and due to my extreme weakness, I fell into sleep in a couple of seconds.

When I woke up, the formation had turned off long ago, and the only proof of those precious resources that remained on me was their husk.

When I looked at the holowatch, I found out I had slept for nine hours and was still feeling quite weak, but this weakness is manageable.

I slowly got up and walked into the bathroom of my room, where I showered for half an hour before walking out. My skin looked a lot better than before, though it still held a faint sickly shade in it, which should disappear by tomorrow.

After wearing a new set of clothes, I went to the kitchen and began cooking dinner, I am feeling famished, and if not for those two picky eaters, I would have heated the food I had on me and eaten that up.

It took me one and half hours to cook the dinner, a little more than usual, but lateness was not due to my weakness, but due to the recipes I had cooked. These recipes I have never cooked outside; these are recovery recipes specially made to help one recover from the weakness.

Before, I had planned to make a quick meal, but after thinking for a second, I decided to make these recipes which are very high level.

According to what the phantom inside the tome said, the recipe activates certain hormones and energies in the body that will help one recover quickly with regular consumption of this food. I had tasted in tome but did not feel any different eating it, like because there was no weakness in my body, but this time it might be different though.

A minute later, I set up the plates, and we began to eat.

As I took the first bite and it melted into energy in my stomach which had spread through my whole body. I felt the change that is described by the man in the tome, the change is very minute, but I am very sensitive about my body and sense it.

It seemed like these dishes were really good, and if I continued to consume them, I might be able to recover a little sooner than I would expect, and that would be great news.
