The loud cracking sound began to ring across my soul as a faint grey layer appeared above my soul before exploding into pieces, revealing the soul, which is now even clearer and felt much purer.

I have not thought I would really advance the soul-cleansing method to level 3, but I hope I would. Still, I could not believe it, even when it had happened, considering Marina had taken more than three years to reach this level, and I did in less than a week.

With the advancement into level 3 of the soul cleansing method, my soul has become brighter and purer than before.

My thought process has become much clearer than before, and my link with my clone has strengthened even further. 

The pain of circulation became even clearer, but strangely, I felt my capacity to bear the pain had increased. I even stopped screaming and now bearing the pain of circulation through just gritting my teeth like before.

I could now divert some of my concentration to other things. Though, those things do not need to be strainful as they affect my circulations.

A few seconds pa.s.sed when suddenly, my clone did something strange. It had lessened the purple energy, which caught me off guard; not only it had lessened it, but it also lessened it considerably, keeping it a third of what I circulated the moment before.

It barely took me a moment to understand its reasoning; while a powerful soul might bear the more purple energy, this is not what I want to do.

The main goal is to conserve it as much as possible, so I can last longer. Even now, with the advancement of my soul, I still could not bear the power of this psychedelic formation; I need the purple energy; the longer I make it last, the better it will be.

With this tr.i.m.m.i.n.g of the purple energy, I might be able to survive the formation for another ten to fifteen minutes, which is great.

The energy it had noticed a minute ago had unnerved it. In the past minute, it had nearly deactivated the formation nearly four times before stopping it, and the reason behind it was the five minutes wait, it had decided.

It knows it is just an excuse, but still, its heart decided to accept the excuse. 

The strange behavior of the human is not giving it a good feeling, but it also feels that it might be some elaborate trap of the human to make it break the formation, and the moment it does, this b.a.s.t.a.r.d will wrap its strings around it and make it disappear.

This human is one scariest it has come across, its aura is so weak that it is confident that it could crush it, but it knows it would not be easy.

It had seen the footage and knew the b.a.s.t.a.r.d had one of the most powerful defensive abilities, those spherical s.h.i.+elds. The higher-ups have marked its defensive ability strongest under the arts, the same level that b.a.s.t.a.r.d Leon, who has the whole collection of s.h.i.+elds.

It had fought against that b.a.s.t.a.r.d a few years ago along with two more High-Grandmasters but were not able to touch even a hair on its head.

It is confident that with enough time, it will be able to break the s.h.i.+elds; there is a difference in power between this b.a.s.t.a.r.d and Leon, and its s.h.i.+eld is not as strong as it.

Still, it might take a minute or more to break its s.h.i.+elds, and by that time, it might wrap those scary invisible strings around its body. 

Just thinking about those strings is making it shudder, as the newest memo from the higher-ups has said that the strings of zaar are extremly powerful. There is a very high chance that they might be bonded artifacts, and High-Grandmasters might not be able to break through them.

It is because of this worry that it had not deactivated the formation and killed this b.a.s.t.a.r.d. It loves its life, and if the time came when it had to choose between killing Zaar and its own life, it would choose its life.

So, it will wait till the decided time is over before taking a step, and if it had sensed even the slightest hint of strings wrapping around it, it would run away, without care for Zaar, who will be a problem that others shall deal with.

It had been a few minutes since I had broken through level 3 of the soul cleansing method, and for the first time, I felt like I had a hope of surviving. 

My clone had made good progress and seeing how things were going, it would be able to finish with the preparation in a few minutes, by even this b.a.s.t.a.r.d wouldn't be able to stop.

I just thought that when a shocking thing happened, the formation suddenly deactivated, and all the psychedelic energy was sucked into it.

"Die Human!" 

I was just dealing with the shock of formation deactivating when I felt the shuddering aura bursting out of the Grimm vidette and it swinging down its ax with power and speed that I could not track.

'Pull the strings!' 

Feeling the immense danger, my thoughts became clear. I stopped the circulation and ordered my clone; now the Rsas have taken action, there is no need for me to hold back either. Though I would very much like, it if it had given me a few more minutes, still I will manage with the progress I have made.

The moment I ordered, my clone had pulled the strings, and Grimm world shaking attacked, stopped, and immediately horror appeared on the face of the Grimm vidette but the very next moment, that horror transformed into fury.

"You will die, you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" I shouted and harnessed all the vidette power I had, leaving not even a speck behind.

It had been not long since it had become a vidette, and for its first time, it had not even used its full power against the monsters of this ruin. Those monsters were nothing in front of the human monster standing in front of me.

I had decided to run the moment I had sensed the strings on me, and a moment ago, I nearly did before understanding the gravity of the situation.

This b.a.s.t.a.r.d was able to wrap its string around it when it was still trapped in the formation. Those strings of it had somehow crossed the formation and wrapped around itself. The power of the strings has made me shudder and let them see the vast reality.

This human does not just have strings, but its battle power is one of the best among the humans, and it is also part of the project that spewed out the Grandmasters.

Most importantly, it knows its Inheritance; there are huge records about the hosts of celestial Inheritances. Each and every one of them is a monster, and they know this firsthand, as that b.i.t.c.h was one of the reasons why they have the lost last epoch war.

Killing half of the coven is not something anyone could achieve, but the predecessor of this b.a.s.t.a.r.d had achieved it, and seeing its abilities and things it had done, it is very clear that this b.a.s.t.a.r.d also had the potential to achieve that.

It may be a coward, but it loves its race, and for it, I will take a risk and kill this huma. It had a chance that as these strings are not tight, it would still be able to project considerable power through it, which will surely be enough to crush this maggot.
