I have too much work, especially that curse of the old snake; I have to solve it as soon as possible, and only then will I be able to focus on my inheritance, which had become necessary, especially after seeing the element the curse is made from.

My clones were already working on the curse; I joined them immediately.

In these few hours, they have made tremendous progress in the method of silencing the curse; if everything goes at this speed, then it wouldn't take more than two days for me to develop a stable method which would silence the curse for at least a month while letting them harness all their strength.

A month should be enough for me to develop a method to deal with the curse.

A little more than two hours pa.s.sed when I sensed movement from marina, and opened my eyes immediately, and found her looking at me.

"Had a good sleep?" I asked, "Yes, in a long while, I was able to sleep without any nightmares," she said as she nestled close to me.

We stayed like that for a few minutes before I took her lips to mine.

There was no resistance or hesitation from the marina; she was active and pa.s.sionate as the kiss became soft to wild.

My hands moved toward her top, wanting to remove them when she suddenly stopped and pulled back. "It's too dangerous, love," she said. It is clear from her eyes that she wants it too, but there is fear for it in her heart.

I first thought her scales would be hard, but to my surprise, they are soft as skin, and if one touched them with eyes closed, they might not even be able to see the difference.

Seeing one might mistake them for just a show, and that would be a grave mistake; these scales are very defenses, even stronger than the scales of Rai when he was a Grandmaster.

The combination of two bloodlines has strengthened the abilities of both bloodlines, and most importantly, they fixed the weaknesses; I could barely see any weakness in power.

"Can you bring them out again?" I asked her, "What?" she asked back, with a glare. "You know what I mean," I said, giving her a look while she glared back at me.

The stalemate lasted for a few seconds before she sighed and brought them out, her claws.

The golden-amber claws, with lines of emerald flowing through them. She had brough them out in the throes of pa.s.sion, piercing them hard in my back, taking me to one of the greatest climaxes of my life.

It was quite a surprise to me as I did not think I liked pain while having s.e.x.
