Lila didn't know how much time had pa.s.sed when Rosalichan finally left. But she does know that the wound on her head was growing increasingly bad. Since it was in the same area she was injured last month, the damage was a lot worse than she thought. There were no mirrors in the place, and yet Lila could examine the damage of her wounds.

She closed her eyes and tapped her head, a glowing light filled her palm. It's risky doing this in her present condition, indeed the moment she used her powers. Lila felt her body gradually drain of what remaining strength she had left.

Kiryu, Kiryu...she wants to believe in him. But, how come he didn't tell her something like that? In the past, he would have told her right away. He wouldn't have hidden it. They've had plenty of chances to be alone together too since her arrival here. Her Kiryu, she's so afraid. Will he like somebody else? Will he..leave her?

After his talk with Karas.h.i.+ma, Kiryu immediately made his way to the chambers. He noticed something the moment he stepped into the corridors. Someone else came? It wasn't Sumire-san either… He spotted the older woman and made his way over.

"Karas.h.i.+ma?" he asked.

Sumire-san shook her head, "Somebody else… This is bad if she's in that state… I'll check and see if there were any normal people around. I doubt any regular folks would come down here, but accidents happen."

Kiryu nodded in understanding. As Sumire-san opened the chamber doors.

"Lila?" he called out.

A pair of cold arms wrapped around his neck, and he turned to Sumire-san, "I'll be fine in here with her."

"All right, call me when you're done."

Kiryu nodded and with those words said, the doors shut. He turned to the trembling girl in his arms.

"Kiryu, I'm afraid... so afraid."

"Don't worry."

"That guy said we are the chosen ones, what is that supposed to mean?"

… He's honestly unsure about that; and from Sumire-san's reaction, she already knows who they are. But, if she isn't telling them anything; then it's for a good cause. Lila too must have realized that since she murmured softly, "Will we be okay?"

"Yeah."

"Kiryu, have I betrayed you?" Lila asked.

"What makes you think so?"

"I slept with Haruka."

"He forced you."

"But.."

Kiryu shook his head, "Lila, even I'm not foolish enough to think you'll remain, untouched with Karas.h.i.+ma around. Though, I thought he would have more tact to wait until you're ready and consent." Honestly, he wanted to beat the guy up a lot more. However, when he met Lila's gaze, he understood. Doing this would achieve nothing.

"Do you hate me now?"

"I don't, I love you."

Even now, his feelings for her have remained so very strong. "Kiryu, I love you too."

"Yeah."

"But Haruka, I…" Lila struggled to get the words out.

"Then, do you want to show me?"

Lila hesitantly nodded and he pushed her down on to the bed and brought his lips to her neck. It's going to hurt him again, seeing her thoughts about another guy. But, he won't get another chance other than this and he doesn't want her to suffer from explaining it to him. Last time he was surprised. However, he understands it now. He felt the girl tremble in his arms and paused, "Lila, it's alright."

"Kiryu.."

Kiryu pulled back and noticed the girls expression was filled with tears; and he smiled softly, this time around he was able to look carefully, "So, you really fell for him."

"Kiryu, no I…"

He shook his head, "Ssh, I get it." He really does. Karas.h.i.+ma has become so dear to her. Its difficult for her to hold back, if she keeps doing so, she will break down. He has to be the one to let go.

"Kiryu?"

"But, while your still here. Please remain my girlfriend. We can break up properly after this alright?"

"If we break up, you'll get another girlfriend? Like Rosalichan or your a.s.sistant?"

Kiryu shook his head, "No."

Lila looked at him completely puzzled.

"I won't date anyone else. Besides Lila, your feelings for me aren't completely gone."

Her cheeks reddened.

"How--H--how do you know?" she stammered.

"Well, for one, right now you're completely red."

"Wah."

"And, I felt it when I drank your blood."

Lila averted her gaze.

He gently raised his hand to her red stained cheek, "Figure it out properly first. Who you like more between the two of us."

"Kiryu, are you stupid? What would you do if I end up choosing Haruka? Shouldn't you try to convince me as much as possible?"

"Well, I was planning on kidnapping you.."

She hits him, and he chuckled.

"But, what good would that do? You like him?"

"I do, I like..Haruka."

Kiryu nodded, "Yeah. I'm glad you said it."

"But, I still love you. Isn't that.."

"No, it's normal. Feelings are complex things. You like Karas.h.i.+ma but you can't say you say you love him as you do me. It should be clear where your feelings are stronger, however, the one you want to be beside now is Karas.h.i.+ma."

"Kiryu, I'm sorry. It's just, Haruka really needs me now. I can't leave him alone…"

He smiled softly and placed a gentle kiss on the girl's forehead, "Yeah, as I told you before. Lead him to a path of light."
