Her greeting came out as a stammer, as usual. Reflecting how nervous she is. When it comes to anything regarding Kiryu, her heart is never settled. Even a simple phone call like this.

"Mmmm, hey."

"Did you just wake up?"

"Yeah, I was taking a nap on the roof. When I heard the peddlers come. I'm looking at the stalls now."

"Ah, they came too this year."

"There's some interesting things here. So, I called you wondering what color you'd like?"

Lila blinks, before bursting into laughter.

"You're so silly my Kiryu."

"Hey, I get it. But this is important."

"En, I know!"

"Gee, there's loads of colors available. Though the silver and purple one looks the best."

"I want a silver one!"

"Then, I'll get the purple one. So, we can match."

"Couple items! "

"Pfft, that's my intention. Though it's rather small."

Still, she wants to know what it is. Before she could ask anymore though, she sees Haruka re-enter the room. Ah.

"I'll go get your stuff from the dorm."

Arrogant huh? He can see it now, her puffing her cheeks up, pouting. Pfft.

"A long time ago, there was a hero type girl who would protect me, despite having a weak body. She would defend me, until her body broke down. She always helped me, but I could never do anything for her in return. After accomplis.h.i.+ng her long-time dream since childhood, she had to set off on a journey. So, I was never really able to tell her the full extent of my feelings."

Kiryu doesn't respond but doesn't deny it and continues.

"That's why I decided, the next time we met, I would protect her and before I knew it. I became like this. A kind fool. It's because of her, that I'm the way I am now. Understood?"

"My Kiryu, I made my preparations for our date. So, will you be calling me cute? "

It really must just be his imagination.

But when he held her just now, na. Can't be.

"I'll be meeting with some friends. Do you want to join me?"

Kiryu nodded. Nakinis.h.i.+ is a guy, but if he acts sneaky and doesn't introduce him. Eijiro will blow and Rinna would probably start twist things. Besides if he really is a female, wouldn't Rinna know at first glance? Now, he's even more than ever eager to introduce Nakinis.h.i.+.

He probably wouldn't have such strange suspicions if it wasn't for Rosalia, strangely being cautious. It's not like her. Whenever he asks her though, she calls him an idiot.

The time arrived for them to be gathering. It's been awhile since they gathered like this, the G.o.d5 and G.o.ddess4. Even with missing members, it still feels nostagalic.. But, Kiryu noticed that there was one person there. Huh.

"I'm back, well for a while. Wanted to make sure you were still alive."

"Is that the first thing you say to me after so long?"

s.h.i.+chiro holds his fist up, and he does the same. Briefly colliding them against each other's.

"Since you look so happy, I'm guessing you found a way to contact her?"

s.h.i.+chiro however simply extends his phone
out.

"Mikami took these."

Seeing the various images of Lila. He gets all protective.

"Tell him to delete it."

"After I safely transfer them over."

Kiryu nodded and takes his phone out.

How on earth did Hamano take so many without her notic---Kiryu pauses at one photo, the girl was fast asleep on a desk, and her notebook was out. Recognising the book, he understood that she was writing about him. Next photos show Lila gradually waking up and then the last one. A blus.h.i.+ng and cute Lila flicking one of the pages.

Hearing a cough sound, he turned to Eijiro.

"Who's that person with you?"

Straight to the point huh?

"Oh, this is-"Before he could introduce Nakinis.h.i.+, Rinna cuts him of.

He looks cautiously back at Nakinis.h.i.+, in that moment, his cheeks redden, and he rushed of. Ah, so he really was right. It's not a he but a she.
