Screams filled the air, and several screeched in pain and agony. Others were crawling on the ground trying to get up but contacted the blood on the ground. Leading to them pa.s.sing out. Ah, she really is a monster. Are these people dead? She isn't sure. Her vision is going blurry. After Haruka touched her, the first time, she always thought her body was dirty. No matter how much she washed. But now she understood, her body has always been dirty. A hanyou or not, this site is inexcusable. She has to call someone, call them to handle this.

'Clean up the trash.' is what Soichiro would call it. These people attacked her under the orders of another person. These people aren't trash; they are merely following orders. It's strange how it all comes back to this again. No matter how many times she stays away, it all comes back to her. No matter how bad things are for her, she still ends up alive. Lila's gaze fell on her sword which she was using to keep herself balanced. The shroud of mist, however, didn't disappear. Ah, it's like what Mamoru-san.

While she used her blade to balance, her powers were still active and getting rid of any trace of hope for those who could even move. Her body was soaked, covered in rain and blood. Is the barrier still up? They attacked her on a random street if the barrier falls and somebody were to see this. If they were to see, it would be all over. All over for Kiku Ari or maybe somebody would even put the piece together that she's Teras.h.i.+ma Lila.

She felt weak; having an anemic body won't help her right now. What if there's more? She ought to get away quickly. Lila heard approaching footsteps behind her, ".... stay back. My blood is still intact; you'll get injured.."

However Haruka's warm arms wrapped around her, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I'm late."

Lila laughed weakly, "You're late."

"I'm sorry." His apology, lead to unleas.h.i.+ng the tears she held back.

"Uwaah.....wahhhhhh.." Lila cried.

When Lila woke up, she looked around at her surroundings.
Her gaze softened seeing that Haruka was still beside her. She should make him something to eat. Um, if she recalled correctly. This is a place he comes too frequently, but last time she came, the fridges were empty. She ought to get food. Her thoughts broke off when a hand shot out and pulled her back down.

"We can eat later," he muttered.

"Um... I- will.."

"Lay down, stay here with me," Haruka instructed.

Lila sensed his tone and understood. Are people still out there looking for her?

"H—har-" her sentence fell short when his lips met hers. Hungry, and pa.s.sionate lips kissing her. Lila opened her mouth, and Haruka's tongue met her own. A battle of dominance but there was no need. She would always let him win because of her inexperience.

Lila opened her eyes; gaze fell on the clock. Only an hour had pa.s.sed, and yet it felt like a lot of time had pa.s.sed. She looked over and found Haruka on the phone.

"Yeah, that's right. Wasn't it from our side? Then it's from the new group that's emerged lately? I understand. I'll be careful too."

Despite only hearing one side of the conversation, Lila understood. Ah. His gaze met hers and Haruka switched his phone off, he picked up a gla.s.s from the side, drank it and wrapped his arms around her.

His lips fell on hers again. But Lila felt his hands tug on her s.h.i.+rt, cheeks reddened as she realized what he was up too.

"Unmmgh-Bmmmghm…. Haruka...wait--wait...um.."

"...?"

"I need to take a shower…" Lila reminded him.

"Oh, right?"

Haruka let her go, and she immediately went inside the bathroom. Lila placed her hand on her beating heart; it's dangerous being around him. He came late because they ordered him? He wore a guilty look. Lila shook her head, Haruka wouldn't do that to her. If it were him, then there would be no need to come back. Even now Lila remembered how desperate he seemed and how he trembled as he held her.

Lila insisting on taking a shower every time is somewhat cute.

Haruka sighed deeply, what is he doing acting like a teenage boy for? But, his gaze landed on his hand that the girl was holding the whole time tightly. He's never felt like this about anybody else in his entire life before. Not even towards Yumeko.

He probably isn't the right person for her. For Teras.h.i.+ma Lila, Austin Kiryu, that guy may have instructed her to go along with her feelings. But Haruka thought that the guy was wise enough not to let her go. Go into the arms of a man who has no chance of redemption. How many people has he hurt and destroyed with these hands of his?

His thoughts broke off when she reentered the room.

"Haruka? What's wrong? Your all sweaty. Ah, do you want to take a bath too?" Lila looked at him, eyes filled with concern, as she brushed her hand against his forehead. The sensation of the girl's palm warmed his heart.

He shook his head, "Let's cuddle."

Her eyes light up at that suggestion, and she nodded. "Haruka, is something wrong?"

"It's nothing."

"Really?"

"Why did you choose me?. I'm not good for you…" he mumbled.

Lila's gaze softened, and he couldn't miss how gentle she looked then, "That may be the case. Kiryu had his faults and dark secrets, but he told me everything, and he redeemed himself. Even the girls he slept with to fill the void in his heart before he dated me, all ended up saying 'we never wanted him to fall into this h.e.l.l with us. So we're glad he's changed now.' It's different with you Haruka, none of those girls care for you at all. And you're involved in something much larger and darker. Yes, your right. You're probably not good for me. Not when I'm trying to get over the darkness."

"But," Lila continued, "I'm not looking for somebody who is good for me. I'm just searching for someone who loves me earnestly. Somebody who I feel happy to be with. Only Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka fits those requirements."

"Your stupid."

She laughed softly.

"How about Haruka? Even though I'm like this, you still want to be with me?"

"I've never wanted anyone more than I have you.." Haruka murmured.

Lila nodded, "That's why don't go around asking stupid questions anymore okay? Please be a.s.sured of my feelings, your feelings."
