Dream Star 229 Growing Increasingly Risky

Contrary to what the rumors say about him, Haruka treats the women he sees or comes to see him with respect. Even if they are the lowest of the low, Haruka has never done anything like hurt them before. This was a first for him to harm somebody of the opposite gender. But he was able to do so easily. Even without Haruka tightening his grip, Linda's face color quickly changed color. Haruka forgets that his strength is unlike others because of his status as a Hanyou. Even if he does not tighten his grip, a single touch with aggression like this ends up being too much for a regular person.

So this is the power of being a Hanyou, up till now Haruka's didn't notice the enhanced strength. All those times he got beat up if he fought back. Then the fight would inevitably end up in his favor. Haruka wanted to laugh, how ridiculous. For a man such as himself to have strength like this, it's too dangerous.

At that moment the doors opened revealing Linda's friend Hye-rin, "H---Haruka? What are you doing to Linda?" Hye-rin seemed shocked at the sight before her.

Haruka sighed deeply, "Perfect timing, you should probably tell your friend here not to run her mouth about a man's girlfriend in front of them. Who knows what would happen hmm?" Haruka said casually. But his voice contained venom.

"Those rumors, those rumors," Hye-rin repeated, "Everybody knows them."

Haruka raised his eyebrows, "Everybody?"

Perhaps sensing his venomous tone Hye-rin quickly added, "All the partic.i.p.ants. The rumors have been flying around since before we left j.a.pan."

They have? But he hasn't heard them till now. Then again Haruka knew the reason why he fails to register anybody but his girlfriend in his head and neglects everything else.

"Please let Linda go, she's only a child," Hye-rin tone seemed desperate, as she looked over at Linda worriedly. For the last few minutes, the girl had not uttered a word.

"A child," Haruka drawled, "Ah yes, she is. I often neglect that considering how much of an expert at seducing and bad-mouthing she is," he chuckled, "Now tell me something, why did this girl enter the tournament?"

Hye-rin seemed surprised; the girl probably thought he would ask more regarding the rumors. However, Haruka heard enough. Considering the circ.u.mstances, only one person was in a position to spread such things. He should have noticed when he visited Sophia the other day. That woman's dislike for Lila is real.

"Why she-she wanted to fulfill the promise from back then and show you she got better," Hye-rin trailed off, and looked towards Linda worriedly, "Please let her go now, your going to traumatize the girl. Harukkun, you know how much she likes you. Don't do this anymore."

Like? So what? He couldn't care less about that.

"Did you think about feelings when you joined in and ran your mouths about another person?" Haruka countered, "Or when you purposely tried to set her up for the preliminary stages for the second round?"

For the Dream Stars tournament, due to a large number of partic.i.p.ants who pa.s.s the first round. A small preliminary round is held and gets rid of six more people. After joining with the other division, it was only natural to do another cut. This happened recently, a brief tournament and yet somebody tore Lila's costume. His girlfriend didn't have spare clothing, but she simply touched up her present outfit and sang in those. Though some people sneered and whispered. The moment Lila sang, they all shut up.

Haruka continued, "So tell me? Should I start considering another person's feelings when you don't consider others?"

"I-it was me! Don't hurt Linda."

Amusing, is the friends.h.i.+p between these two that strong? Or is this one also being controlled by another person? Either way, he has no more time to waste on these foolish people. Haruka knew that he already spent enough time on them. He will deal with them another time; for now, he wants to get back to Lila's side.

Haruka looked at the silent Linda, the girl was still awake, but she no longer spoke. Her gaze seemed dead. A trauma huh? Usually, he would feel bad. But she crossed the line. Did this little girl think he would let her run his mouth regarding Lila? About his girlfriend? What kind of boyfriend would he be, if he let people trash talk Lila?

Haruka throws her aside, and Linda lands on the ground with a crash. He didn't even think to check whether she was severely injured and picked up his coat. Hye-rin called out, "Harukkun."

He paused.

"Linda genuinely loves you. She doesn't know how to express it since she is a child. Even after this incidence, I know she will continue chasing after you, will you believe her then?" Hye-rin asked.

When he returned, Haruka knows she's still fast asleep since he doesn't detect movement. He removed his coat and threw it, not checking to see if it landed on the rack. He made his way up the stairs, and quickly down the hallway. Eventually, Haruka reached their bedroom, he quietly opened the door and frowned. Lila was still deep in slumber, so many hours have pa.s.sed and yet she is still sleeping. This is a bad sign, he walked across taking quiet but long strides until he reached the bed.

"Unngh…"

Haruka frowned sensing the girl was in pain, he brushed his hand across her forehead and found she was sweating a lot. He left her side for a moment and went to the bathroom. Picking ups bucket from the side, he ran it under the tap. Once it was half full, Haruka picked it up and a small towel from the side as he walked out. Despite his movement, Haruka noticed that Lila had yet to wake up.

After running the towel in cold water, he reached over and placed it across the girl's forehead. Her fevers gone up but she looked pale. Not good, natural methods like hugging her for warmth or giving her medication don't seem to work anymore. Guess he has no choice. Haruka stood up and picked up his phone. It was a number he tried to avoid calling after all this person is supposedly Austin Kiryu's father. But, he doesn't know what to do regarding Lila anymore.

Before he could dial the number, Haruka felt Lila's hand reach out towards him. He grabbed hold of her hand, "Mmm," a smile formed on the girl's lips. She really is stupid, Haruka bends down and gently kissed her lips.

Lila, he really is bad for her. The reason she is suffering now is most likely because of him. Maybe because he's dating her when her partner is supposed to be Austin Kiryu? Though he avoids anything related to being a Hanyou. Haruka is aware of the circ.u.mstances regarding Hanyou partners.

Once a hanyou finds their partner and forms the bond, under no circ.u.mstances must they engage in intimate activities with another man. In the natural world, it's similar to being in a relations.h.i.+p. If this is broke, the sinner will get punished. Though Haruka knew this, he never researched what happened to the sinner. He ought to ask somebody.

The second is a connection not severed but desperately covering it up. In this instance, if something terrible happens to the other person, the one they are connected too also suffer the same symptoms. Austin Kiryu and Lila broke up, but it seems like the connection between them is still there. Haruka never thought to ask Lila to severe the connection. It already surprised him when she accepted his hand. Lila, don't worry. He will do something about this.
