Lila sat up from her bed, sweat falling from her face. Just now, what did she just see? Lila scanned the room and found Haruka was missing. She tried to get up but found she was unable to do so and looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her skin was pale; blue hair had turned purple. Usually when a hanyou experiences extreme cases of blood l.u.s.t their hair color changes. But there's also another reason why she extended her hand out towards the mirror. Though she was born pale, her current reflection looked awful. Her thoughts broke off when she hears the sound of the door, despite her weak condition. Lila dragged herself over and flung her arms around the neck of the person who opened it.

"Ari," It was her boyfriend Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka. Almost a whole month had gone by since the two of them started dating. Lila would like to think they had gotten a bit closer with each other. But when she recalls his insecurities not too long ago, Lila understood that there was more to it than what they discussed.

"Ari, let's go back to the bed."

Her cheeks suddenly burned red at the word bed, but she shyly nodded. Haruka gently picked her up and carried her over. He placed her down, and Lila noticed something. He's wearing a suit, did he go somewhere important? "Help me with my tie."

"Ah-huh," Lila nodded and started to remove the tie from Haruka's neck. It didn't take her long before the material fell on the ground. But in doing so, Lila felt her cheeks burn red.

"Why are you getting embarra.s.sed already? I have yet to do anything."

So he's going to do something later? The problem here is, she doesn't mind that, him doing something. She's become so silly since they started dating, always going along with his strange whims. Haruka cupped her cheek and gently kissed her lips, a gentle kiss from Haruka was always slightly more pa.s.sionate than most. Sure enough, he didn't let her off with a light kiss as he nibbled and sucked her tongue.

He quickly drew back, and Lila understood why. Haruka didn't want to get aroused from kissing her since she's sick. He's changed a lot from the first time he touched her. Lila avoided thinking about that incident too much. Her body feels hot, and she felt the sweat falling from her face.

"A bit more?" Haruka asked, reading her thoughts. Lila shyly nodded, and Haruka sighed, "Bear with me yeah?"

When she next woke up, Haruka is placing a cold towel on her forehead and talking to someone on the phone. "Yeah, and she's really pale. That would help, thanks Jae-hee," Haruka said.

Oh, Lila tried to move her body but found herself once again having difficulty, noticing the state of her clothes; however, her cheeks burned even redder. He did something, "Dummy," she murmured. Haruka heard her and walked over; he gently brushed his hand on her head again.

"So yeah, I hope you find out for me. No, I'll just give Ari some blood for the meantime."

Blood? Does she need it? Lila hadn't realized until Haruka mentioned it. Since starting this journey, Lila has learned things about being a hanyou that she's never learned before. For one her blood cravings, though there were often occasions where they acted up. Since this journey started, those occasions have increased a great deal. Lila wondered why that was; she couldn't wrap her mind to it. More importantly, she recalled the pain in her head as she tried to recall the events from her dream and frowned. This very same thing happened before -- when she went through her past with brother. Did her dream have something to do with Haruka?

Before Lila could question that thought process more, Haruka put the phone down, and turned to her, "Hey, drink from me."

Lila's cheeks flushed red, and she shook her head, she's too embarra.s.sed to drink from him after he so obviously touched her. Haruka ran his hand through his hair and sighed, "It's nothing we haven't done before and your sick. Come on Lila," These days Haruka does not hold back reprimanding her using her name anymore.

Rather he's increasingly used her name to prove when he's angry or wanting to emphasize a point. This occasion is one of them; whenever he gets like this, she can never say no. Lila somehow nodded and tried to sit up. But the weakness in her body would not let her, Haruka noticed and helped her. His large hands steadied her.

"Ari," he murmured in her ear, "Take as much as you want from me." One thing people out to avoid saying in front of a hanyou, especially a pure breed are the very words her boyfriend Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka uttered. It's dangerous, but she supposes since Haruka is a hanyou too, it didn't matter. In the first place, being a 'Hanyou' was anything but simple.

Lila wrapped her arms around his neck, but not before she ensured that there was no feminine scent sticking to him. Hanyou's are sensitive to other people's scent. When they are taking blood from others, the scent of other people on their partner is looked down on. Lila frowned when she saw traces.

Haruka must have met with someone again. But there are no signs of cheating here. Lila understood now when most people see Haruka they immediately cling to him. Judging from this small amount of perfume, however, Haruka must have pushed them away immediately.

The thought relieved her, Haruka is changing a lot for her sake. Her lips lingered on his neck, and Haruka gently strokes her hair, "Your hesitating today, do you feel that bad?"

"I just wanted to confirm things," Lila murmured, and she felt her already scarlet cheeks turn even more red, "Tell me something Haruka, what do you think of me?"

"Hmm? Why are you asking?"

"I just want to know."

Why would Haruka choose her? Somebody like her who has stained her hands in blood countless times? Lila shuddered as she recalled the dream from earlier, it was vague. But one thing stood out to her; it was the color of blood.

Her thoughts broke off when Haruka's lips met hers, it was a light and brief kiss, after a few minutes he drew back and commented, "Knowing you, your definitely thinking something crazy again. So let me clarify things, what I think of you? My thoughts are rather odd though, do you want me to proceed?"

Sensing his serious tone should have persuaded her, but she wasn't so sick that she couldn't understand his words. Lila lightly pushed him away from her and murmured, "Idiot," she wanted to hear his answer though. So maybe she ought to, Lila looked over and saw the sudden change in expression in his eyes. Ah, it's those eyes again, the same ones from back then.
