When Huan first met the man named Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka, he honestly wasn't sure whether they would get along with each other. Sure he greeted the man normally, with his usual bright and cheerful smile. But Huan wasn't that naive. When he first met Haruka, the guy was dragging his feet away from a fight - and even after Haruka retreated. Those people went after him. Huan remembers being in the park that day complaining about how they gave him too much food when he ordered. Even if he liked burgers, there was no way he could eat so much. So when Huan saw Haruka in a pinch he thought, 'perfect, somebody to give my burgers too.'

When Huan saved Haruka, he didn't even know it was him, until after the fight. When Huan finally recognized the guy who he saved.

It took some time for Haruka to warm up to him; naturally, it would. Even if he did the same him, who would trust a stranger? After coincidentally learning Haruka's routine. Huan synced it up with his. He could do that since he had yet to figure out a proper schedule.

The first thing Huan discovers about Light Town was how noisy it was and how crowded. He knew it would differ entirely from Universal S Town. But it was a first for him, experiencing a sea of heads, chattering, followed by groups, individuals talking loudly on their mobile phones.

Huan recalled how he kept b.u.mping into people and how he even had to resort to using his powers to maneuver through the crowd. n.o.body seemed to particularly notice a guy getting knocked around every few seconds. Why would they? In that sea of people, Huan felt like he was nothing. n.o.body knew him; he didn't have to hide.

Though his existence wasn't a secret or anything, everybody knew he was Mother's first child. But with a man, people didn't know? A man people knew only from the underworld? It was natural he had to lie low, many people disliked the existence of someone who goes against the Hanyou norm. He was Mother's first child but inherited none of her darkness; he was not a hanyou.

He didn't have to hide. But for once n.o.body was giving him instructions on what to do and what not do. So, when an old lady helped him find the stores and provides him a detailed explanation of the town he's grateful. He searched for a library first. Huan remembered the feeling and smell of the old books as he entered the place. Despite the modern setting, the books showed age and wear. He recalled debating about whether to look for modern guidebooks about the town. But brought several old books and placing them on the table. He was never much of a reader.

The second thing Huan notices about light town is, just like the name suggested - the place always seemed to be bright and filled with light. He thought it was just a coincidence at first. But after meeting Haruka, his friend told him it has something to do with the legend of a former songstress living in this town.

Later on, Huan discovers many other things about Light Town, and Huan realizes in the end. That must be the only place he could really call 'home.' The town, and the people living there.

He opened his eyes and discovered a pair of beautiful eyed looking at him.

"All better now my cute sister?"

Lila nodded, "Thank you, brother."

After healing her, Huan felt the fatigue take over him. Huan somehow dragged his feet to his room. But despite how tired he was, he could not fall asleep. So he laid down lost in thoughts. Huan noticed that Lila had yet to leave, his sister stared at him curiously.

Huan sat up, "Come here Lilchan."

"Okay!" Lila said happily. His sister comfortably positioned herself next to him on the couch.

"You know, your boyfriend will kill me."

"I want to chat brother! We can't?"

Lila looked at him with those beautiful amethyst colored eyes of hers. The moment any guy admits she's cute they've lost. Whether or not it's somebody who loves her in that manner, they lose if they think she's adorable.

Cute... All right, so he lost.

But that didn't matter much. His sister happily brings him over a drink. Huan accepted it and thanked her before he asked.

"Where is he now?"

"Haruka said he's going out for a bit and looking around the area. He wants to make sure that n.o.body followed us," Lila explained.

"I see."

Haruka's doing that as a precaution, but he's definitely still suspicious of him. Haruka's checking the area out carefully and noting everything. He will be gone for a while then. Guess, he can use this opportunity to ask questions. "He's treating you well," Huan commented.

Though Huan knew how much Haruka liked his sister and it did not surprise him when they started dating. But Human underestimated his friend's feelings.

"Ah-huh, um brother. What do I do if somebody else proposes to me?"

Huan almost choked on his drink.

"Haruka proposed to you?"

His sister's cheeks were flushed red as she shyly nodded, "He proposed."

Unbelievable, Huan knew Haruka would find a way to get Lila to stay beside him and ditch Kiryu permanently. But aren't things developing way too fast? But then again, didn't he see it with his own eyes? Haruka loves his sister a lot.

"So um, what do I do, brother?"

"Do you love him more than Kiryu?"

It's one thing to date another person. But another to break off the engagement. Hanyou engagements aren't simple things; especially since Kiryu belongs to the prestigious Austin family. Even if Hisame-san approved of it and he bears no ill feelings. Rumors will start, and it would easily become chaotic. Huan knew that Lila wanted to avoid causing problems for their mother too.

"More than Kiryu," Lila repeated, he noticed her turn quiet at the mention of Kiryu, "Tell me brother, Kiryu has n.o.body else?"

"Lilchan."

"Back when we were dating, I was always afraid. Kiryu was a player like Haruka and saw many girls. But, even then he treated Rosalichan especially," Lila trailed off, "I always wondered, in Kiryu's eyes is Rosalichan not important? Shouldn't he, sort things out with her?"

Huan stared at her; he really stared at her. So this is the reason why? He thought it was odd that she didn't try to contact him at least once. Miyazawa Rosalia, huh? That woman hides behind many masks and facades. It's hard to tell what she's thinking, other than those who know her n.o.body can tell. But Huan already has an opinion; she's a woman consumed in jealous. The woman's feelings for Kiryu are genuine, but such a deep love causes more harm than good.
