Dream Star 276 Worthless Police Investigation

Haruka didn't look happy at all, and from the way, he wrapped his arms protectively over her, it was clear as day that he didn't want her speaking.

"Just now we received word that a crime took place in the street nearby, we identified the girl as someone from entertainment and taking part in the same tournament as Miss Kiku Ari. The deceased is close friends with Miss Linda who seemed to have offended Miss Kiku Ari awhile back, so.."

"So you're going to a.s.sume that my girl would murder something so petty?"

The policemen seemed hesitant to continue, but one of them spoke up, "Before the security footage before it broke showed her walking down the street. Could you confirm whether you crossed this road?"

Lila looked over from Haruka's arms at the photo, oh this is the place where she almost got lost. If that person didn't help her, then she would have gone down this path. So one of Linda's friends was in this area? The police saw her looking over and repeated his question, "Do you recognize it?"

"I do."

They looked at her hopefully.

"But I'm sorry, I only pa.s.sed by here. I turned the other way and didn't head down here in the end," Lila explained. The people who set this up probably didn't realize that she went down the other road.

"How do we believe those words?"

"The cameras in the area don't capture everything; otherwise you wouldn't be asking me. There is a young man who can testify for me and has no connection with me whatsoever. If I give you a description, you can bring him here to testify."

Though it is somebody, Sophia knew who is connected with Haruka. There are no direct connections. One police officer took out his radio, while she described the man briefly.

The whole time Haruka's domineering presence only increased, and the officer who remained sat down was sweating uncontrollably.

"Um, would you like some tea? And biscuits?"

The other police officer was a young man no older than Haruka; he looked at her surprised but nodded. However, Haruka prevented her from standing, "Why do I have to share your food with people who want to lock you up?"

Her sweat fell, "They are just doing their jobs. I really went by that area earlier today," Lila said. Even though they're wording just now made it look like she committed the crime, it's natural for them to suspect anybody else walking in the area.

"Yeah, but they most likely came to you first. How many people walked past since you did? Probably a lot more and yet they suspect you immediately."

"T—that's because of the background history," the young officer explained.

"And exactly where did you get this background story from? Is it credible?"

The young officer turned silence then. She looked at Haruka and frowned, "Don't be harsh, he looks new on the job. It was mainly his superior talking earlier."

Haruka sighed, "You're too naive."

Sophia also said that. Lila paused, is it just her? Or is Haruka and Sophia quite similar to each other? Lila brought her lips to his neck, if she drank from him would she be able to see? Sophia told her that she and Haruka never dated. But they did live together for a while. Lila recalled Haruka mentioning that to her before to avoid any misunderstanding since it's something that happened before they dated each other.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt Haruka lifted her skirt slightly; she flushed red feeling the contact of his hands on her thighs, "Um?" she looked up from his neck.

"I don't think he's going to notice," Haruka said. Lila looked over and noticed a plate of the cookies she made earlier in front of the young man and a cup of tea. Haruka must have asked somebody to bring it. Indeed the young man appeared focused on his meal.

"Let me continue from earlier," he murmured seductively in her ear. "Okay?"

Lila shook her head, "Don't," is he stupid? They're still in the middle of the police investigation. However, Haruka ignored her and continued to attack her neck with kisses. If that's all he did, then Lila wouldn't be struggling to hold her voice back. But of course, since this is him, he wouldn't just stop at that.

"Nngh," it was small since she tried to hold it back. However, it earned the young man's attention.

The young police offer looked up, and his cheeks turned red, "Wha—what are you two.."

"You interrupted me when I was having a good time. I'm just resuming what I was doing before."

What good time? Lila wanted to hit him, but her body still felt weak. Geez, this idiot.

After a few minutes of Haruka practically hara.s.sing her, somebody interrupted him. It wasn't the young police officer, however, instead they hear a whistle, "I came here to testify for you and yet here you two are getting hot and heavy."

Lila turned to the source of the voice; her eyes widened when she saw the young man but also Sophia.

"Um?"

"Since he's somebody I know, it's only natural I'm here too. But even more than that, I was together with this girl during the time of the incidence."

At that comment, the younger officer turned to his superior, who wore a complicated look on his face. The arrogance from earlier had vanished from the man's face. What did Sophia tell him on the way here?

"Miss Sophia, we already heard your statement on the way here,"

"No, no, there's more you want to ask right? Why don't you ask more? By the way don't you want video evidence?"

Eh? Does she have a video?

Haruka sighed, "Right, that place has cameras. Most bars avoid it. But loads of important people go there in disguise, just in case anything happens there is security footage," Haruka moved her away, "Let me get my laptop."

Moments later Haruka returned with his laptop and they placed it on the table. Despite the small screen, the video was clear as day. It showed everything from the outside footage in the area and her entering to Sophia greeting her, to Haruka taking her away and even the sequence of events afterward. The beginning was already strong enough evidence let alone the end.

Anybody can modify videos, but this video was detailed. It started with what happened at the bar a few hours prior - in fact, the police officers had to skip to get to the part where she was. The end showed what happened even after she left. It was clear that this was official footage that can't be modified by anybody.

"Anything else officers?" Lila asked once the video stopped playing.

"Uh, nothing else," the elderly man who acted all high and mighty seemed hesitant.

"Oh, but you must take this evidence with you and the other testimony," Sophia turned to the man who she came with, "James, go with them to the station."

"Yes."

With those words said, Lila watched the police officers leave in a hurry. The young man named James bowed to her before he trailed after the officers.

He looked at Sophia with a questioning look in his eyes, "What do you want?"

Sophia laughed, "What's with that suspicious tone?"

"I don't believe you would do this without anything, speak. What do you want?"

Sophia walked over and wrapped her arms around Haruka's neck before Lila knew it the girl's lips were on Haruka's.

Wh--what!!

Haruka, however, yanked her away and Sophia laughed, "You bite my lip," Lila saw a trail of red on the girl's lips, "Honestly, you can't take a little joke hmmm?"

That was a joke? Then what does she want?

"Lend me Haruka for a few days."

Lend him? He isn't a possession. Well okay, so maybe she does say things like Haruka belonging only to her and stuff, but even so, this is too much.
