Dream Star 318 What Are You Thinking?

September 2035 - Streets of London -

For Teras.h.i.+ma Lila, the man named Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka was like a fine piece of art work. His face, body proportions - everything about him seemed perfect. After the earlier episode that involved her pus.h.i.+ng him away despite liking his advances. Lila made sure they went on a walk together. Even if he is shameless enough to 'hara.s.s' her in a airport. Lila knew he would think so otherwise on a busy street like this.

Indeed, while they got into situations where the kisses became heated. Haruka did not go any further. Maybe he is thinking about what she said earlier. It took all her will to force those words out of her mouth. To tell him to stop when she clearly doesn't want to. As Lila looked around, something came to mind.

"This is probably going to be the last time I can look around London properly," Lila muttered. Tomorrow is the day of the tournament, and then regardless of whether she pa.s.ses - she would still end up on a plane back to j.a.pan.

To think that she would be leaving soon. Lila felt strange about it. When she first arrived, Lila didn't think that she would become so attached to the place. But now that she has, Lila was reluctant to let this life disappear. While she and Haruka have had their fare share of problems since arriving here.

Unlike the magnitude of their issues back in j.a.pan, the problems here are nothing. While she doesn't want to delude herself in thinking that they can avoid talking about those issues, Lila wanted to remain like this with Haruka for just a bit longer.

For just a bit longer, she wants wants time to stop.

Haruka paused before he spoke up, "Is this why you wanted to take a walk so badly?"

Lila shook her head, "No, it just came to me now."

"I see," he trailed off, "If there's anywhere you want to go, then speak up now. I'll grant any request of yours."

Sensing his tone, Lila looked up at him. Ah, is he back to normal now?

Though Lila did not have any specific places that she wanted to go to, she did have some things she's always wanted to do with Haruka. Like having a simple burger date, or going to Mcdownlods and any fast food areas.

They've never done this before because Haruka always took her to restaurants whenever they go on a date, though that's hardly happened. It's more like they have dinner or lunch at some fancy restaurant after or during work hours. That's why a burger date is a must!

"Is this really what you wanted to do?"

Lila looked up and stopped eating, "Yes?"

Haruka sighed, "What a simple woman."

She frowned at his comment, what's wrong with being simple? In the first place, she wasn't exactly raised in luxury. While she belonged to a rich family. Her Mother before her disappearance didn't spoil her with the riches of their family. She grew up with her Mothers home cooking, buying groceries at the store, buying things at the store - something which she can't seem to do now because of Haruka's restrictions. It's not like he is formally restricting her. Lila knew if she wanted to go to the shops he would let her. But Lila knew that Haruka preferrered it when he left it up to her.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt his hands brush across her face, Lila immediately panicked, all sorts of images came to mind and Haruka chuckled, "What are you thinking of? I'm just getting rid of some food."

"Oh," Lila murmured. That was a close one, she almost made a fool out of herself. Still, "Why aren't you eating? Do you not like fast food?" she took a bite out of her burger.

"It's more like, this is a first for me coming to places like this."

Ehhh? First? Lila looked at him stunned, but there's places like this all over London. Then again despite how he was brought up, "Your still a young master," Lila murmued. This however didn't go un-noticed by Haruka who sighed.

"What young master, it's more like I used to eat sc.r.a.ps of food, home made cooking, and when I joined the gang. I used to just steal food from others."

Oh.

But eh, wait that means other than her he hasn't come to these places with anyone? How lucky. Lila stared at him from the corner of her eyes while she continued eating. Why is Haruka so handsome? Kiryu was handsome too. But Haruka is perfect in every angle, or maybe that's just how she sees things. While Haruka has many girls who like him. There are equally as many who don't like him. However, even those girls have to admit that Haruka is perfect in every way.

"What are you thinking now?"

"I want to see you in a suit again," Lila knew he would be wearing one tomorrow. But for some reason she felt impatient. Maybe it's because she spent the last few minutes staring at him. But Haruka really would look good in a suit.

Haruka sighed, "Your in fantasy mode again?"

Her cheeks turned hot, "What's wrong with that?!"

"Nothing except," he leaned across the table, "If you pull faces like that. I'll attack you in public, and trust me it won't be pretty."

Thump. Thump. How stupid. However the rapid feeling in her heart quickly vanished. Attack in public, he must have a lot of experience with that.

Lila reached over and kissed his lips. It was a light one and she quickly drew back.

Haruka ran his hand through his hair and sighed, "You know, there are plenty of hotels in this area. Or maybe an alleyway."

Lila shook her head, "N--no, you'll ruin our date," besides lately. No for awhile now she's been thinking about this. It's surely not healthy for a seventeen year old girl to do it so much.

"Then, right here?"

Argh, geez. Just when she thought he returned to normal.

"Say Haruka, tell me honestly what is the issue?"

"I was thinking I could make you pregnant before we leave."

P--pre-- Lila looked at him dumbfounded. What on earth is he thinking?

"If I succeed, then I have something to tie you to me. Just in case."

Lila understood immediately. Haruka is very worried about Kiryu, even though she rea.s.sured him. He probably doesn't trust her when it concerns anything Kiryu related. Why would he? Lila isn't sure she can trust herself on that department either.

"I do want to start a family with you Haruka, but I'm still a bit too young," Lila murmured.

Haruka's gaze turned soft, "That's true. But you don't have to worry about things like money and balancing you're studies out or anything," he trailed off, "As for your career, it seems like your position is pretty stable. You've been gone for so long now and yet people still care about you."

"I lost some of my fans though."

Haruka nodded, "That's bound to happen, in this industry there are some shallow people who call themselves your fans. But the moment some strange rumor pops up, they turn their backs on you."

"They have the right to get angry and part of those rumors are true now."

'Ditching Kiryu for another guy,' while she didn't exactly leave Kiryu for Haruka. They were still dating when she left for her journey and when she came to Light Town. But, even then it was more of a open matter. Their relations.h.i.+p was hanging on this thin thread. When she and Kiryu finally broke up, it wasn't her who let him go either.

"You became my girl fair and square, they have no right to complain."

"Fair and square?" Lila repeated.

"Do you know how long I waited for you to cave in?" Haruka sighed, "I mean you were already showing me signs you liked me for a long time. But Austin Kiryu stood in the way. Do you know how long much will it took for me not to pounce on you the moment we first met again? Even more so after I realized your real ident.i.ty. I wanted you so badly."

Lila felt her heart beat increase at his words. Aside from being nervous, she didn't know what to think. Don't put her in the spot like this. What is she supposed to think about what he just said?
