"Yeah, I get that."

Does he? She wants him to understand. How does she confess? She wants to tell him now; she wants to tell him before her thoughts start wavering. Before Haruka gets tired of her. Right now he's treating her so gently and lovingly. However, that sort of thing won't last forever. Haruka has other people he cares about after all. And yet in contrast to before, she's no longer as worried about it. Even though just a few months ago, she was fretting about it to the point that she got no sleep.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt his soft lips on hers. Lila blinked and then laughed softly. "Haruka is a rule breaker."

"Right, me and the law really don't get along." As he went along with her joke, Lila found him gently caressing her hair with his free hand. So warm.. Being close and watching him like this.
She thinks she's starting to understand it now, why she loves Haruka so much.

Before love wasn't something, she could put into words properly, let alone understand peoples desire for it. After all, she saw first hand how that emotion hurt and destroyed lives. However, since entering high school, no it was before then. Since meeting Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka, that perspective of hers has changed. When she was dating Kiryu, every day felt like a dream to her. He treated her well and with such kindness and warmth that is different from Haruka's.

But Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka is the one who taught her the ups and downs of love. How despite all the complications in a relations.h.i.+p, as long as two people love each other, then they can overcome any trial. Okay, so maybe it isn't that dramatic. They haven't really overcome any trials yet, then again would you count them dating as a trial? But Lila considered it as one, after all - it wasn't easy for them to get to where they are today. Wasn't easy for them to become a lovey-dovey couple.

"Haruka, can I--- perform for you today?"

Haruka blinked, "You sure you want to waste your new song on me?"

Although he said it sarcastically, Lila noted the look in his eyes and pouts. "Dummy, don't talk like that. Your so important to me Haruka, and so many people like you, "That's right, so so many people care about you. She's always known despite the rumors that people spread about Haruka, plenty of others liked him, "That's why I have to show them."

" . .. you're talking about other people liking me so casually, are you sure you're okay with that?"

"Gah. Of course not! Your mine," she exclaimed. Haruka is hers, so she doesn't like the idea of sharing him with anybody else. However. . ..

"Your happiness is my happiness too Haruka. I like it the best when your smiling, even when that smile isn't for me," that's right. Even if it isn't for her, she's relieved. It's better than how things were before. At that comment, Kiryu kisses her forehead, eyelids, nose, lips, before gently biting her ear. Actions that make her feel so incredibly embarra.s.sed, and yet she can feel his gentleness. Her thoughts broke off when he nuzzled his face on her neck.

"Ummn? Haruka?"

"I'm really lucky to have you by my side, Lila. I got it. Put on your best live today, with the message of how much I mean to you," he looked up, and Lila saw it. Such a bright smile on his face.

Wah- what a bright smile. It's been such a long time since she's last seen it. Haruka.... she does want to show him. She wants to tell him these powerful feelings of hers.

"If you do, I'll give you a reward of your liking. Something affectionate of course, unless you don't want that?"

"I don't like being treated like a kid. But I like your rewards Haruka."

Laughter escapes his lips, "I know, do your best for me. Lila."

"Un, I got it."

Everyone's wishes, their dreams, and smiles. Lila could see it all so very clearly. Their deep emotions and the feelings they want to convey to those important to her. It's scary, yes, not knowing what the outcome will be and what the future awaits. But standing around and doing nothing, standing around and just pondering about things won't help. For anything to change, she has to take a step forward.

For the people in the audience who are watching her, her loyal fans, and friends. Even those who are only watching her for the first time. Lila would put on her very best performance for them besides, while her dream may have changed now. There is one thing that will never change.

There are those out there who realized their dreams through watching her performance. Those who look up to her and inspire to be like her. She can continue encouraging those who watch her stage. She may not exactly be their light of hope, but Lila wants to be able to continue inspiring those who are important to her. There are thousands of beautiful lights out there, each s.h.i.+ning brightly. But the spotlight goes around in circles, and miss a few people. Only a handful of people can stand in the spotlight at a certain time. So what happens to those people the light miss? Does that make them any less than those at the top?

The answer is no.

A persons radiance isn't determined by the position they are standing. At least for her, she doesn't have to stand on a large stage to convey her deep feelings and message to other people. She can make anywhere her stage, that's something that hasn't changed even now. Lila hopes it's the same for other people too. She hopes that they don't get discouraged by things like their position, ranking, and stage.

Sing freely, don't hold anything back.

Lila wanted to dedicate and convey these deep feelings of love to everyone. She wants to send that message, no matter what shape or form your love takes, its always going to be significant. Mother and Ren-San's feelings, even if those feelings of romance can't last eternally; Lila wants it to come together properly at least once. If given a chance, what they couldn't say before, she wants them to say it now. But first things first, she has to open the gate. Last time she sacrificed the opportunity to do so but her next stage, no the final solo performance in the Dream Stars compet.i.tion, there's something she wants to convey to everyone there.

One day... the day she surpa.s.ses the position she is now. It won't be long before her journey comes to an end, won't be long before she has to leave everything behind again. A situation she can't avoid. But until then, there are so many messages left that she wishes to spread with her singing. Very important messages. For the people who cared and watched over her this entire time. Her message to those important to her aside, there's also a message she wants to convey to herself; something she has been hiding this entire time.
