Kiryu was scrolling through his phone and dealing with a depressed Ichinose Oujiro, who was talking about the trending topics. Sure enough, when Kiryu clicked, 'trending' he saw exactly why Ichinose was brooding.

His sweat fell, well Ichinose made quite a mess of things. Even when Ichinose ended up as Selia's partner, things didn't change. Kiryu scrolled to the next ones; they were all about Lila.

When he saw the second trending, Kiryu frowned. ….This is why...Lila's cool image has always been better for him. Now he has to worry about the fans seeing her adorable side. Kiryu shook his head and turned to a pale-faced Ichinose Oujiro who collapsed on the couch.

"So, yeah sorry about that," Kiryu apologized. Since he and Lila were taking too long, the directors decided to pair up to spice things up and switched partners. So Oujiro and Selia were together. Considering how Oujiro can't cook, it was quite amusing to see the reaction on Selia's face when the egg went flying, "Look on the bright side, she didn't sue you. Though I think she wanted to."

"Kiryu-san, how do you even stand that scary woman?"

"Well, I don't, that's the thing," he takes great lengths to avoid the new Selia for a reason.

Oujiro nodded, "I understand now; she's frightening."

Before Kiryu could say anything else, Lila returned to the room face flushed with bottles and snacks in her hands, "I'm back!"

Noticing her sweaty appearance, he frowned, "Did you run here? You didn't have to," he reached over and placed his hand on her forehead. The moment he made contact with her skin, he felt warmth, "Lay down a bit, I think you have a slight fever."

"Okay, Kiryu."

She's so cute when she says his name. Kiryu shook his head, quit thinking those things. It doesn't help his situation. Kiryu watched as Oujiro stood up and took the stuff from Lila's hands, "Did you meet with Karas.h.i.+ma?"

"No, I was looking for him, but I didn't see him."

"I see."

Awkward, Kiryu knew he should have been the one to get the drinks. Is Karas.h.i.+ma feeling uncomfortable about happened in the program just now? He does know that Lila is just acting right? On his part, it isn't an act, but on Lila's side, it is. Lila laid down on the couch and the moment she did Kiryu had to turn away, 'Adorable, she looks adorable in that blanket of hers,' Kiryu thought to himself. So much for self-control. It seems like there is no controlling his thoughts when he is around her.

"Kiryu, hand please," Lila called out.

His sweat fell; this girl doesn't change. But well, he knew it didn't mean much. Whenever Lila feels unwell, she seeks comfort. Kiryu walked over to the couch and pulled up a stool and sat down, as he extended his hand out, and Lila brought it to her face, "En, a lot better."

Kiryu's gaze softened at her words, "Yeah," for a moment he was silent as he thought back to how well things seemed to be going for him with Lila today. Even if it was just a mere act earlier by the ingredients corner, he still felt like he accomplished something seeing her turn red and get all fl.u.s.tered.

Lately, he's starting to understand how Ichinose felt when he began to date Lila last year. Just having these small happy moments with her is enough to bring a smile to his face. Still, Kiryu wondered how much longer he could keep this up.

That moment with Lila, however, didn't last long, when one of the staff came in the room and said there was somebody who wanted to see him.

But she wasn't alone; her arms were wrapped around Karas.h.i.+ma's neck, "Okay?" she asked.

"Yeah."

Anybody walking by would think something just happened with the two, considering how messed up Rosalia's clothes were and how sweaty Karas.h.i.+ma was. If he were any other pa.s.serby, Kiryu might have thought the same. But he wasn't just anybody.

"..."

"Karas.h.i.+ma, Lila has a fever," Kiryu called out.

A concerned look appeared on Haruka's face; Rosalia giggled before she pulled away from him, "Guess you ought to get going, meet me later?"

Haruka nodded, "Call me," with those words said he swiftly left her side and walked into the room. Kiryu, however, observed Haruka when he walked past. 'Nothing happened between the two,' that much Kiryu could determine.

"What did you need from me?" Kiryu asked once Karas.h.i.+ma was safely out of sight.

Rosalia laughed, "Touche, I haven't said anything yet."

'Whenever you drop by, nothing good happens,' Kiryu thought. A deep sigh pa.s.sed his lips, "Give me one," he was pointing to the cigarette in her hands.

The girl smiled and pulled one out for him and lit it. Kiryu took a long drag, "So, Kiryu-kun you and Lilchan are getting along well it seems."

"Don't go after Lila," Kiryu reminded her.

"Aaahaa, I won't. You've been keeping your promise and showing up every day," Rosalia leaned forward, "It's just a shame."

"What is?"

"You show up at the establishment every day, but you haven't slept with me yet," Rosalia leaned forward.

Kiryu moved her away from him and calmly said, "I don't do that stuff anymore. Even if I show up to that place, it's simply to get a drink and uphold my side of the deal."

"Hmm, che no fun. Well, at least I have Harukkun."

His eyes widened in alarm at her words, "Rosalia, leave him alone."

"Oh? But you won't sleep with me."

"You don't need me to; you have hundreds of guys lined up at your doorstep every day."

"True, and they are good. But," she trailed off. A devilish smile appeared on her face, "Those people aren't in love with Lila."

'Tsk,' Kiryu thought. Rosalia has lost it; last year she still had her sanity. When he first started to date Lila, Rosalia was actually quite supportive. But as the months went by, she slowly turned crazier and crazier. At first, Kiryu sympathized with her; she genuinely seemed to have feelings for him. So it was only natural for her to react negatively. However, the more time that pa.s.sed. Kiryu realized that Rosalia's feelings for him were dangerous, "Lila didn't do anything bad to you; just leave her alone."

"But she did Kiryu-kun, she stole you from me."

"We were never together like that," Kiryu reminded her. Indeed, the two of them never dated, so he never belonged to her, "Listen to me Rosalia, I don't want to hate you any more than I do now. Just leave Lila in peace, okay?"

His words however only seemed to make it worse since maniac laughter pa.s.sed Rosalia's lips, her gaze darkened, "The more you stand up for her, the worse it will get. I'm sick and tired of all of you going Lila this and Lila that. What's so good about a woman like her?"

"Rosalia.."

Rosalia leaned forward, and pressed her body against his, "I love you Kiryu-kun, so, so much," her tone almost seemed desperate, "So, just come to me. You don't need somebody like that witch. Don't you remember how well I treated you?"

Kiryu turns silent, he remembers. During one of the harshest time periods in his life, Rosalia was there for him. If it weren't for her, then he could not have gotten through those harsh times. Even when he was at his lowest, Rosalia accepted him. She took his hand and helped him regain the confidence he had lost. Honestly, it's not like Kiryu never cared for her before, because he did. Once upon a time he genuinely cared about her, she was a good friend to him. Even though he treated her as a subst.i.tute for Lila, Rosalia didn't mind. She never once turned him away. However, those good memories he had of her felt like a dream now. Especially considering how much she's changed now, and sure he's changed too

Still, he can't be too harsh. Lila always said the best way to turn somebody away is to do so with a mixture of seriousness and kindness. Kiryu took a deep breath before he yanked her away from him. Rosalia looked at him like she was crazy, and Kiryu spoke up, "I remember, and I'm very grateful. But, I won't repay you with my love," that s.p.a.ce in his heart is reserved for only one girl.

Rosalia clenched her fist, "Again, again, again you're saying such things. I thought you'd learn your lesson already."

Rosalia threw herself on him, which caught him off guard, causing him to fall on the ground, "Why that woman? While I wouldn't be able to accept you going out or loving anybody else, it wouldn't be this painful for me if you chose somebody else. But instead, you had to choose her, why her? What's so special about her?"
