A woman with dark hair licked her lips, "Your current state looks amazing," this crazy woman in front of him is Miyazawa Rosalia. She reached over and traced the scars, before she bent over and licked them, "Nnnghn..."

"So, you ran off to do it with Lila the other day? And ditched me, do you think I'd let you go unpunished?" Rosalia said.

Yes, this is the reason why he is here. While he had initially been at Scarlett's, he suddenly received a message summoning him to this warehouse. Haruka was fully prepared for Rosalia to once again experiment with him, but who knew instead of a painful torture session she would just beat him until his wounds turned blue? Then again, he should have known better than to come here. Lila will get mad at him again. Rosalia noticed he wasn't paying attention since she raised the whip in her hands and hit him again. This time it left a huge mark on his hands, blood spluttered out.

Rosalia beamed happily, as she put the whip down and brought her lips to his hands as she started to lick and suck the blood. This woman is insane in more ways than one. Haruka thought he already knew the extent of her insanity, but earlier he finally learned the real definition. Whether Miyazawa Rosalia was like this from the very beginning, Haruka didn't know. But one thing is for sure; the current Miyazawa is insane.

His thoughts broke off when he felt Miyazawa pour a hot substance over his head; he screeched in pain as he felt the burning sensation on his skin. It felt like the substance was tearing away at his flesh, Miyazawa placed her hand on his lips, "Scream more, I want to hear it," she said with a sly smile on her face.

The woman was beautiful, with her short black hair and brown colored eyes. If she weren't such a psychopath, then this situation wouldn't be that bad. 'Yeah right,' Haruka muttered in his head. This situation is as bad as it can get. He doesn't even remember how he got roped into agreeing to all of this. Initially, Haruka didn't feel the pain from the torture he's been receiving this whole time. However, after Lila pointed it out and started crying. He began to notice how unusual this situation was.

Teras.h.i.+ma Lila is his source of strength as well as weakness. It broke his heart seeing the girl's tears, and that image has stayed with him ever since. Just when Haruka thought he was going to lose consciousness, the door opened and a man with long black hair strolled in the room.

It was the man who was the leader behind this whole thing. Rosalia seemed surprised to see him but walked over, she wrapped her arms around him and bit his ear, "Why are you here," she questioned, "A surprise?"

Zane smirked, "I missed you," those three words were very sweet and Haruka despite his dazed state didn't miss the way the two looked at each other. It can't be, can it? But there's no doubt there is something here.

"Zane," Haruka called out.

The man looked over, and sighed, "Dearest, I still need to use Haruka as a p.a.w.n, if you keep beating him, it would be quite problematic," he paused, "Haruka, this is late greeting, but this woman is my fiance."

Haruka's eyes widened. It felt like his eye socket would pop out of his eyes, 'Fiance?!!' he repeated in his head. Miyazawa Rosalia? To Zane? What sort of twisted joke is this? Haruka just a.s.sumed that Miyazawa probably slept with Zane a few times, and he kept her around because she's a woman who dislikes Lila. Zane always said it's better to keep Lila's enemies on a leash and Haruka had to agree there. But now the very same man who said those words is introducing Miyazawa Rosalia, Lila's number one enemy as his fiance?

Now he understands why Miyazawa has been able to act so bold. She's been in a relations.h.i.+p with Zane this whole time and has his backing and support. No wonder she even had the liberty to do this to him, Haruka didn't like to boast, but he was one of the 'p.a.w.ns' that Zane did not like to injure.

"You can't trick me, I know you two are friends," Rosalia let's go of Zane and walked over to him. She pressed her body against his and started kissing his lips, "Nnghhhh," Rosalia's rosy colored lips were on his as she sucked and licked his mouth.

Zane casually pulled her away; he didn't seem bothered by what she just did, despite Miyazawa supposedly being his fiance. "Let me talk with Haruka alone," he requested, "I shall entertain you later."

Rosalia giggled, "As long as you entertain me," with those words said the woman quickly left.

Once Rosalia left, Zane immediately undid the chains, "I apologize for her brash behavior. She's not right in the head at times."

Haruka rolled his eyes at that comment, only sometimes? That woman is insane.

"Don't mind it, did you just get back?"

"I've been back here for some time now. I left London before you did," Zane explained, "Negotiations with Soichiro failed, it seems he does not intend to hand her over."

"Naturally."

"Have you asked her?"

Haruka shook his head, 'How could he?' He's like a double spy now. He's on Lila's side and yet at the same time he isn't. Despite everything, he owes this man a huge debt. A debt that cannot be repaid just like that. He rubbed his sore wrists and exhaled deeply, "Do something about this, I have a date later."

Zane smiled, "I see you are treating her well."

"Isn't that what you wanted?"

"Indeed," Zane extended his hand out and light emerged from his palm covering his wounded hands, "But there are certain boundaries you must remember not to cross."

"Are you threatening me?"

"Not at all old friend, I'm just reminding you not to get too attached since in the end, she will be mine."

"Is Miyazawa not your fiance? You're going to have two wives now?"

"Indeed," Zane smiled, "That woman provides a different sort of comfort for me. While I admit I'm smitten with her, Teras.h.i.+ma Lila is the one I need to become my legal wife. She is the one who will save me."

Haruka doesn't say anything to that. While he initially agreed to Zane's plan before, now that he's a couple with Lila, does Zane think he would let the girl go to him? 'Give him a break,' Haruka thought, he won't even let Lila return to Austin Kiryu's side let alone give her to Zane.

His thoughts broke off when he hears a familar ring tone.

"Is that her?"

Haruka nodded, "Stay quiet."

Zane did as he said as he switched the healing to the other arm. Haruka took a deep breath and clicked the green answer b.u.t.ton on his phone, "h.e.l.lo?"

"H—h.e.l.l-ouch, I bite my tongue."

An amused smile appeared on his face, what is this cute girl doing now? "Something wrong?"

"Haruka, I just wanted to hear your voice for a bit, " Hear his voice? Maybe Tachibana's been too busy to talk to her. Haruka ran his hand through his hair, "Haruka, I um want to see you too," the girl's meek voice filled the other line, and he paused. See him? In his condition?

Haruka frowned, "Sorry, not now."

"Wahhhh, Haruka is cheating," Lila exclaimed. He chuckled at her cute and frantic voice. Why is his wife so adorable for?

"My phone is a bit busted, the camera broke."

"Ahh? You dropped it?"

"Sort of," he trailed off. Time for another lie, but at least this one was small, "But, even if you can't see me. Will you let me see you?"

To his surprise, though, the girl suddenly said, "No! You can't."

The girl's tone amused Haruka but suddenly felt something amiss, as he recalled what she just said about missing his voice. Could it be that she's sick? And didn't accompany Tachibana for the rest of the day? Haruka has learned many things about the girl named Teras.h.i.+ma Lila. One of them being, whenever the girl is sick, she would crave the warmth of her beloved. It was a far-fetched idea, but since it's her, it's completely possible. Haruka took a deep breath, "Answer me."

"I'll cancel our date."

At that comment, his phone buzzed, indicating that there was an incoming video call. He chuckled, Lila really is easy to bribe. Well, he supposes that's one thing that made her cute. Feeling Zane's gaze on him, Haruka shook off his hand, "Taking a call," Zane said nothing but understood and immediately left the room.

Being alone in the 'room' filled with torture devices gave him an odd sense of de-jvu. The last time he was alone in a place like this, he was crawling on the ground, badly beaten and bruised up.

His gaze turned gentle when he saw her raise her hand to cover her mouth, as soft laughter pa.s.sed her lips, "d.a.m.n, I'm supposed to be lecturing you not complimenting you."

"Indeed, "Still, "I'll head right over, give me a few minutes," Haruka said as he stared at his reflection in the nearby mirror. He still had cuts and wounds on his body that would worry the girl if she saw them. After she discovered his drug technique last time, Haruka didn't plan to use it again. Besides, he never wanted to drug her in the first place. But it was the only thing he could come up with to cover his scars.
