Dream Star 400 Once Again

This is unbelievable, no matter how much she cuts down, even more, are regenerating, and she's sure that the others have noticed it too. No matter how much they cut down, it won't end. Even if it's them, they can't catch her from this height; but instead of hitting the ground with a ma.s.sive thud. She felt a familiar warmth and looked up, ". . Kiryu. . .? " Lila muttered.

Indeed, despite her dazed state, she could still make out his silver hair. "Stubborn girl."

"Why? Why did you come? " Lila shouted as she sat up. "What's the point of everything I've done up until now?! Why did I," she couldn't finish her words. Why did she slip in those sleeping pills in his food, if he ends up coming here anyway? When she saw the extent of how far Haruka went for her sake. Lila realized that Kiryu would most likely push himself to the extreme. He's that sort of person after all.

"Shut up." Kiryu interjects as he got up, "'Live.' Huh? You want me to live like an average person now? That is stupid if you aren't living happy, what's the point?"

Her eyes widened, "You're unreasonable. So stupid," Lila said, hitting his chest, yet he grabbed hold of her wrist.

"I think you're the one being unreasonable. I refuse to accept this. I don't want to live if it means living a world without you. A future without you means nothing at all to me. "

Lila felt her eyes water when she heard his words. What on earth is he saying? Why is he so stupid? Even now, why is he shouting and saying such things?

"Why are you so clueless, I am doing this because I love you, got a problem? "

By this point, her whole face was red up to her ears. But the black hair girl doesn't get a chance to respond when a knife swishes past them, and they glance over to spot s.h.i.+chiro. "Hey, come on. If you keep flirting around, you'll be killed idiots."

At that, Kiryu appeared behind her, and inter winded their hands together, "Lila close your eyes."

Lila does so despite her confusion, and Kiryu continued his speech. "Don't let it deceive you. Aren't demons supposed to reflect our emotions? Remember what I said back when we first met? 'I'm the same way.' Lila you have me by your side. We met each other. Our world may have changed, but nothing has changed between us. Don't let yourself get affected by the past Lila, and you aren't alone anymore. Lila, you've got me. "

He really is an idiot. But why do his words pierce her so very profoundly even now?

When Lila does, so she found demons surrounding them. Not just the dead ones either, some were coming from the sky. "What on earth?."

"Let's defeat them," Kiryu suggested nonchalantly.

"All of them?" she exclaimed. Then again they can't exactly leave this all to Kasumi and s.h.i.+chiro.

"Have a better plan?"

"No, "with those words said she separated from him, and they headed in opposing directions.

They somehow managed to do it; she wonders if it's because she combined her strength with Kiryu. But either way, it's over for now, since the demons turned in to their original stone forms and a gorgeous light was coming out of them. Lila glanced up at the sky, "Isn't it pretty?" Kiryu commented.

"Yeah."

It feels odd to share such a moment with Kiryu again. But, she does feel happy. She can't be any happier. After they stood and watched for a few minutes, Lila realized that no other monsters were coming and her knees finally lost all strength. She tumbled on the ground.

"Lila?!!" Kasumi exclaimed.

"I'm okay," she shook of Kasumi's concern. But Lila knew she would not be able to stand up. Thankfully there are no more enemies in sight. Still, this is a bit of a concern. To think Rosalichan can command and summon such a large group of demons. Lila frowned, is that what Soichiro meant before about things becoming severe? If so, then maybe this isn't the time to be fighting with him.

"Oh goodness, there's a fire!!" Kasumi exclaimed.

Lila whipped her head around in the direction Kasumi was pointing too and could make out the smoke coming out from the main building. Her eyes widened, Haruka! She immediately forced herself to get up, but it was no good. There was no strength left in her legs, 'I used too much blood,' Lila cursed in her head. But she has to help Haruka, what if something happens to him?

She can't; she can't let that happen to Haruka.

Her thoughts broke off when somebody grabbed hold of her wrist and lifted her up, "Kiryu?"

"Let's go together; I'll take you to him."

'It's unfair to you, and yet you help me anyway,' Lila thought. She nodded.

How ironic, once again, Kiryu is helping her go to another man's side. Her gaze fell on the man who was holding her hand and pulling her along. Kiryu, is he really going to take her to Haruka? Once again, he will bring her to another man? Why...why? This would be an excellent opportunity for Kiryu to take her away. But once again... Lila shook her head, forget it. Right now, she ought to focus on getting Haruka. She can worry about other things later. Still, her gaze landed on Kiryu's hand that was pulling her along.

He just naturally held her hand again. It's an old habit, that much Lila understood. She slips up and does the same with him too. But still, other people would misunderstand if they saw this sight.

"Say Kiryu?"

"Hmmm?"

"Were holding hands."

Kiryu smiled, "Yeah, I'm taking advantage of this situation."

Stupid, what is he doing admitting that with a smile on his face for? He truly is such an idiot. But this was the person she was in love with once upon a time. Once upon a time, the two of them. Pain emerged in her heart; it really is painful to think about it. She spent the majority of her life dedicated to Kiryu. From the moment she was four years old, she was dedicated to this person and this person alone. When did things change between them? When did things become complicated, when they got into a relations.h.i.+p? Even though she was happy, Lila knew that the moment they became official, things started to change between them.

Once they got inside the building, people were rus.h.i.+ng out in groups, all of them frantic and panicking.

It happened in an instance. No sooner had Kiryu finished fending off enemies. A large piece of the ceiling suddenly collapsed with the sound of an explosion. "Lila." Kiryu, who had briefly left her side was beside her immediately. He was trying to s.h.i.+eld her.

"No!" She's already been resigned to death for a long time now. But Kiryu, Kiryu didn't come here to die. He came here to bring her back. She can't let him die. Despite mustering the strength to push him away, she couldn't avoid the rubble. She supposes this is it for her. She's glad that she could spend some peaceful moments with him before her life came to an end.

As she resigned herself to her fate, Lila felt the presence of black flames and realizes what he was doing far too late.

It was then the rubble collapsed down.

The blood drained from her face, and she rushed over in a panic. The gristly sight stopped her heart cold. His clothes soaked in crimson blood. No. ..no..... Her thoughts broke off when a bloodied hand gently wipes her tears.

"Hey... don't cry.."

"Stupid. Stupid. Stupid! I told you....to leave me."

"I can't do that; I really love you. I love you, Lila. So, come back with me like a good girl, yeah? Let's talk about it properly this time." Hearing his voice weakening, she freezes. As she quickly grabbed hold of his hand that had slowly fallen from her face.

"Kiryu?"

He's not answering. His pulse is getting weaker by the minute, and the blood is spreading. This --- this is ---?! No...no. No. Please no. Please don't do this even if she were to die as long as Kiryu could live then. Lila shook her head. No, this was her fault from the beginning. She should have just been open with him from the start. Lila didn't have to look around to know that the surroundings would collapse soon. If she used her powers, it would be easy to get out now.

Kiryu has been the only one fighting this entire time, and he practically carried her this way. Alone she could leave. But she won't do that; he still has a pulse — his wound and body. ...is cold.. .if she used her flames. ...
