Back then, he told Lila the reason why Rosalia acted the way she did. Naturally, with Lila's mindset, she wouldn't get angry. She would understand any reason he threw at her. It's the undeniable truth that Rosalia saved their lives back then.

After speaking with Lila for a few minutes, Kiryu left. He knew that if he stayed longer. He would end up saying something foolish. On his way down to the parking lot, though, he felt his vision go blurry.

A human bitten by a hanyou transforms into a lower being. When that happens, there can be only one of two results, dying from the loss of blood, or unfavorably surviving and suffering the pain of slowly transforming into one of their kind. Others don't possess this dark power that pure ones have.

What has he done? It was only brief, and yet the woman standing in front of him that he has beaten up was covered in punctured wounds. The taste of her foul blood still lingers in his mouth. What was that? His body...moved by itself. He drank someone else's blood. He tainted another person. Despite all the years of self-control. No, he didn't even have to control himself. Another persons blood was never pleasing to him. Did he take something weird? He...he needs to go back.

Kiryu's apartment -

"Welcome back," a familiar voice whispered in his ear. A deep sigh pa.s.sed his lips when he felt the girl pressing her body against his.

"Rosalia."

This person is Miyazawa Rosalia, the girl who has been going against Lila. The reason why she is here in his place? Something unbelievable happened awhile back, and they've been living together since then. He says living together, but the reality is with his schedule, he barely comes here.

"Sorry I'm late," Kiryu apologized.

Rosalia smiled as she let's go of him. "Weren't you in the hospital visiting Lila?" the girl walked over to the kitchen.

He looked down at his feet, "Don't lecture me over it. You're the one who randomly harmed her."

Rosalia said nothing, and he watched as she started to take some ingredients out of the fridge. Kiryu sighed and threw his jacket down and slumped down on the couch. He was exhausted.

Kiryu recalled what the girl's mother said to him not too long ago.

' I know...that she needs you...and that in a sense you need her too. But, Kiryu-kun...The entire time I watched you two, I felt something amiss. Just because Lilchan can't be with you always...your using her?' From the very beginning, it looked as though Makino-san had wanted to talk to him about something...

Although that's always been the case, it's the first time he heard someone say it out loud. Certainly, even now...he really can't see himself in a relations.h.i.+p with Rosalia. Sure, them living together has made him see sides of her that he didn't before. But even then, he can't see themselves as being any more than good friends. Even now, he's only using her. Whenever she mentions her feelings, he casually brushes it off. He does not react to it. Rosalia surely understands that too, and yet what's keeping her here?

Is it simply because he's able to protect her from the people after her?

"Kiryu-kun were out of soy sauce."

Oh.. Right, he was supposed to go shopping on the way back. But then that girl started bothering him. He supposes it can't be helped. She still needs a few things too.

Kiryu grabbed a parcel from the side and handed it to Rosalia. The girl looked at him, blankly.

"Clothes. You couldn't go shopping properly at that time. If there's anything you don't like, throw it away."

Honestly, he's never been good with this kind of thing. Lila's always chosen what he wears when they aren't working. Though, it's not like he doesn't have a fas.h.i.+on sense. He isn't bothered with it. Still, during that previous trip, they were interrupted by Miu. So they never went to the department store. It was awkward to say so the east when he went. But he doesn't trust online shopping with clothing.

"If you don't like it, just say so."

Even though she had yet to open the box, he was feeling somewhat nervous. Rosalia carefully opened the parcel and examined the clothes. Sensing her silence, he could feel himself become even more nervous.

"Kiryu-kun, thank you !!"

The girl's reaction surprised him when was the last time he saw her like this?

Oh. ..he hasn't seen her smile in a long time. ...

Maybe, she is happy, staying by his side. Even though he isn't able to do much for her, just as Kiryu thought that he felt Rosalia wrap her arms around him from the back, she murmurs in his ear, "Then maybe I can reward you, Kiryu-kun?" her words were rather sensual.

He knew what she wanted. Why else would she wear such little clothing? Feeling a sharp pain in his heart, he clenched his fist and pushed Rosalia down. He's never been starved for another person's blood before. Why does he have to? He's always had Lila, but ah aren't things different now?

He examines the marks on her body and extends his hand out to search for some ointment. Such deep bite marks...indicating that he drank a lot. Even if he does need blood, is it okay for him to keep doing this? In the past, he would never have considered drinking anybody else's blood. Indeed for the past 13 years since he met her, he's never taken blood outside hers.

Even when he first met Rosalia, he never had the desire to drink her blood. No matter how much control he lost, his blood l.u.s.t could only be satisfied by one person. But as of late, whether or not he's satisfied drinking another person's blood. Kiryu's noticed that he's no longer able to control himself. Her blood. He needs it. He desperately needs it.

If he doesn't drink a lot of Rosalia's blood in a single day, Kiryu doesn't trust himself to see Lila anymore. Kiryu brought his lips back down to her neck and continued to suck. "Nnngh, Kiryu-kun..."

A few hours later

"Kiryu-kun, I have a movie to shoot."

Kiryu, however, didn't budge an inch and continued laying on the girl's chest.

"Your so hopeless Kiryu-kun, you had such a good opportunity to attack Lilchan, but you didn't. Instead, you ran here to use me as a subst.i.tute again."

"Isn't that what you wanted?"

"What I want is you to be mine."

That isn't possible. A month or so has pa.s.sed since they started living together, but nothing has happened between them. Well, in terms of romantic feelings. When it comes to having s.e.x, it's normal for the two of them because of their previous a.s.sociation with each other. They used each other; he was lonely and insecure that Lila would never love him. Rosalia, she -- wanted somebody to shower her with love. Even if it was fake, she wanted to belong to someone.

Kiryu gets up, "I'll make dinner tonight. What do you want?"

Rosalia's lips curve to a smile, "Then, let's go shopping?"

"Alright. Go get ready."

"These clothes are fine."

"No, they aren't," Kiryu shook his head. "Your still a singer at the end of the day, wear the new dress I bought you. It should be clean."

"Okay, okay."

Kiryu sighed and watched as she stood up and left the bed to enter the next room. Living together with somebody other than Lila, he still isn't used to it. It's not like he loves Rosalia, so this situation is unusual. He can't let anybody else find out about this. Ameno aside, anyone else - it will reach Lila's ears for sure. He can't risk it.
