The more he kisses her, the more Lila thinks back to how this relations.h.i.+p started. Most people would call it unethical, or l.u.s.t? Whatever it was, at the start, it wasn't healthy. People always described her as an innocent person — a naive young girl. Due to her mother's disappearance, she had n.o.body to raise her properly. Her father was never around, and whenever he was. He was fooling around with other women. Father tried to fill in the gap Mother left; he got lost in l.u.s.t and desire. But that didn't help him.

It made things worse; he fell into despair. Haruka is the same type. Seeking salvation through these means but only getting even more loss. "Nngh, Haruka…"

"Do you like it?"

Lila nodded. He was only kissing her, but her body felt like it was burning up with desire. Desire for him, desire for this man in front of her. Lila felt her breathing go unsteady, the sweat clinging to her body. "Hubby…. This is really good."

His lips curve to a smirk, "My wife is so needy. Don't be so impatient; we will get there."

Haruka quickly removed his s.h.i.+rt, and he kissed her forehead and her lips. "Alright." It was a single word, but it was his way of agreeing to her request.

Despite how heated up it was getting, though. When Haruka received a call, he didn't ignore it like he usually would.

"Huh? Hara.s.sment? Yeah, I got it. Put her through."

Lila frowned as she put the pieces together. Aizawa Mei is suddenly being hara.s.sed in the hospital? That sounds so suspicious.

She didn't have to open it up to know what kind of video it was. A deep sigh escaped her lips. How did one of her cute and innocent fans turn out to be one of her biggest concerns? Then again, Mei's dirty tricks are nothing to her. She isn't on the same level as Sophia and Rosalia, so there is no need to deal with her personally.

It was a mere five words. But those five words were code for, 'do whatever you want.' Lila glanced over at Haruka, who was on the phone since he was sitting so closely. Lila could hear every word. Mei was crying like a child about almost being raped etc. Just listening to the woman's voice made her sick. Why would she put herself under that situation, just to get Haruka's attention? For love? That kind of love is twisted.

Lila made her mind up and wrapped her arms around Haruka's neck, showering his neck with kisses. She felt Haruka's hands run through the zipper of her nightgown. "Hubby," Lila whispered in his ear. "I really want you."

"...Mei, sorry, I'm a bit busy."

Haruka didn't wait for a response, and Lila's lips curve to a smile. It seems like she doesn't have to worry.

"Even if you were getting me to stop talking to her. Do you know what kind of situation you're in now?"

"I know."

Haruka's lips nipped at her earlobe, causing a soft moan to escape her lips. "Since you want it so badly, wife. I'll give it to you. But," his gaze turned gentle. "If you feel bad, ask me to stop."

'Who would stop in the middle of doing it, idiot…'

When Lila woke up the next day to a fever and an aching body, she could only sigh, 'So stupid.' Haruka wasn't even planning on doing anything but kiss her. Even then, he stopped. She could have used that chance to rest. Still, she doesn't regret it. Her gaze fell on Haruka, who was fast asleep beside her. Her gaze softened, it's so peaceful spending time with him like this.

Haruka said they'd go back in the morning. But, her gaze fell outside the window. It looks like there is a snowstorm. Going back is impossible. Her thoughts fell when Haruka pulled her back down onto the bed. "Wife, go back to sleep."

"But ah, the extended-stay arrangements."

"I already made them last night."

He did that? Haruka knew the weather would be bad. Yet he still made them come all the way out here for. What a sly man. But, she remembered how they spent nearly the whole day cuddling in bed not too long ago. That was very nice; she wouldn't mind doing it again.

It seems like her wish is going to be granted.

"Were you getting bored of the hospital?"

"A little. Even if I make the room nice for you, the view isn't very good," Haruka strokes her hair. "Are you alright? Your body…"

"Oh, uh, I'm a bit lightheaded."

Haruka frowned and brushed his forehead against hers. He suddenly left the bed and picked up his phone. "h.e.l.lo? Yes, about the matter I asked you about. Bring it up now."

"Haruka?"

"Don't worry, Lila. I didn't come here, unprepared."

He wasn't lying when he said that. No sooner had Haruka said such words did the doorbell ring. Strange people were wearing unusual colored cloaks entered with a full set of medical equipment that you'd find in hospitals.

Since she was still naked under the covers, Lila couldn't thank them. Then again, these people wore strange masks on their faces.

Since it's people here husband know, Lila didn't have to worry too much. The hotel staff in this place seemed to know him too. Maybe he came here with another girl before? Lila shook her head, those stupid thoughts - end up breaking couples.

Haruka speaks to one of the men for a few minutes before the group quickly left the room. Haruka set up the equipment and pulled out a needle. Lila quickly buried her face in the covers.

"Hey wife, don't be stubborn."

"No! You know I don't like needles."

"But Lila, your fever is very bad. If we treat it normally, there is a higher chance it will get worse."

That's true..

Lila peeked at the blanket and then at the needle. Even if she is afraid of needles, remember what Haruka went through recently for her sake? That was worse. A simple flu shot won't kill her. She nodded and sat up, wrapping the blanket around her.

Haruka smiles, "Be careful; you look good enough to eat right now."

She puffed her cheeks up in annoyance, "You already ate me up last night!"

"Right, I did. You were tasty."

Tasty? This idiot. But, well, she didn't dislike what happened last night. Ever since Haruka started to treat her more preciously, things have been different. Before, he was always in a rush and pa.s.sionate. Needy and even desperate. But now he takes his time; he gives her gentle kisses. He asks her if she is okay if she wants anything. These days it isn't so bad having s.e.x, and he isn't so excessive anymore. Due to her hospitalization, though, they've hardly done it.

Before, he used to pounce on her all the time. So she is a bit concerned now. Her thoughts broke of when she felt a sudden p.r.i.c.k on her arm. "Ouch!" Lila flinched in pain. "Don't do that without asking."

"Hm? I asked."

No, he didn't; he kept seducing her... Wait? Did he say all that stuff to distract her? How sly of him. But, well, at least this sudden one-second pain is better than feeling it from the start.

"Hubby, what are we going to do about Kiryu?"

"Didn't you say something about waiting till the final round before rejecting him for real?"

"Yes, but..."

Haruka nodded in understanding, "We can't leave him the way he is now. If we do, he will fall apart even more. Lila, tell me before I say anything. What do you want to do with him? Make him get over you? Find somebody else for him?"
