So late! Haruka scolded himself as he stepped out of the car and ran out of the car.

Haruka froze when he spotted her. She was waiting outside like he thought. But, more importantly, what's with those clothes? Those clothes, she looks like a present. For goodness sake, she even has a ribbon on her hair. Beautiful, so beautiful…

He walked over to her and hugged her from behind. Haruka buried his face in her hair. "Sorry, I'm very late, wife. Mmmmm, are you mad?"

"I'm angry!" Lila turned around with pouty cheeks.

"Yet, you're clinging to me?"

"I love you, hubby," Lila nodded. "Were you trying to play hero again?"

"Well, I couldn't leave her."

"Did she kiss you? Did she try to have s.e.x with you?"

"She kissed me," Haruka admitted.

Lila's reaction wasn't what he expected. But why would he complain about it? The girl's sweet and soft lips met his. Haruka completely froze as Lila continued kissing him. Eventually, the girl pried his mouth open and kissed him deeply. Wow… Wow. Is she really doing this? In the middle of the street?

Many people were glancing over at them with wide eyes. Some blus.h.i.+ng due to embarra.s.sment. He knew people recognized them since some took out their phones. However, none of that mattered to him right now. He wants to concentrate on the kiss his wife is giving him. She's so pa.s.sionate these days.

'She's making such nice sounds too.' It would be easy for him to take control. Usually, he would do just that. However, Haruka didn't want to. He wants his wife to lead for her to take charge.

After a few minutes, Lila pulled their lips away. Haruka saw traces of salvia still on her mouth. The sight made her look very alluring. 'She is lucky they are in public.' If not, then he would have done something. "Wife…"

"I kiss better, right?"

Did she kiss him just to prove her point?

"You do...do it again."

He was needy and desperate. Haruka wanted her more than anything right now. Lila, however, teasingly drew back, "I think that's enough."

Enough? How is that enough? d.a.m.n her; she's messing with him. Two can play it that way. Haruka wrapped one of his arms around her waist, the other caressing her thighs. The girl wore a thick dress, but it easy for him to slip his hands where he wanted.

"I booked a room at a hotel. Remember, we're going there later."

"O-h.."

"But if you don't want to. It's okay, think about it."

"Okay, I think I understand."

She thinks, eh?

Haruka chuckled and kissed her lips, "Let's order the food now. You must be hungry, my wife."

"Ah-huh, I'm starving," she brushed her lips against his neck. "Hungry. "

"Sorry, I made you wait for so long," Haruka plopped Lila on his lap as they waited for the food. He did order ahead of time, so it should be here soon.

"I understand, hubby, you're a kind person. Rikksan must be very lonely; it seems she missed you a lot."

"Let's not talk about her wife. Are you okay? I know you must have missed me."

"I missed you, hubby. I can't be away from you for more than five minutes."

He raised his eyebrows at that comment, "Five minutes?"

"Ah-huh. But even then, I have to stare at you. So you have to remain in sight."

She genuinely means that. He's never felt so much love from another person before. Haruka lightly kissed her lips. "Thank you, Lila."

Soft laughter escaped her lips, "Um, I thought you'd think it was weird. I'm practically stalking you."

"I don't mind."

He likes the idea of Lila always watching him. Besides, this girl usually spends a lot of time thinking about people other than him. "How was your live concert?"

"Yeah, it was fun."

Haruka reached over and caressed her cheeks. "If it were fun, you'd react differently."

"Somehow, I wasn't satisfied. I don't understand what the problem is."

'Isn't it because she thinks she can do better? n.o.body is satisfied with their performances. They live in a world where they constantly strive to improve.'

The waitresses place their food down. With Lila clinging to him, none of them bothered him like they usually would. "Hey wife, let me kiss you."

"Nuh-uh, you can't kiss me until later."

Hey--! Why later? What is she trying to do to him now? "How come?"

Lila pouted, "I'm still angry. I can't always forgive you, even though I would be even angrier if you just left her alone."

So, which is it?

Still, his gaze softened when he realized that Lila was gradually leaning closer to him. Well, he doesn't mind this situation at all. His thoughts broke off when he found Lila look at him. For some reason, she kept blus.h.i.+ng and looking down. Why is she so nervous for?

"Say, hubby, why did you dress up today?"

"Hm? Well, aren't we going on a date? I should put in this much effort, right?"

"Normally, you...um.."

Right, he usually just wears black t-s.h.i.+rts or random collar tops. "Does it not look good on me?" Haruka wore a semi-formal suit today, minus the tie.

"N—no, that's not it," she frantically shook her head. "You look good. But, a bit too good...so uh.."

What does good mean? She's clearly nervous, but he doesn't understand with her vague description. Haruka leaned forward, noticing how she was looking away. "Hey, what do you mean by good? Say more."

"Uh, uh — wahhh, don't get so close! My heart is going crazy," Lila exclaimed.

Haruka blinked when he heard her words. Huh? Is her heart going crazy? Then again, for the past few minutes, she seemed a bit shy. So, does that mean she likes it? She likes it to the point it makes her nervous? 'That's cute…' Haruka awkwardly scratched his face. "We should start eating; the food might get cold."

"Uh, yes."

Somehow, this is a bit more nerve-wracking than he thought it would be. It seems stupid to think that way. Then again, the two of them seldom go on any dates. Because of their work, they only ever have time to go home. For the next few minutes, it's silent as they ate their meals.

Haruka felt the girl's hand on his cheeks, and he turned to her. Lila's entire face was bright red.

"What is it?"

"I think I really love you."

Huh?

"I mean, um," Lila looked away. "You know a few things were left unsettled between Kiryu and me. Even now, there's still something left to settle. But, unlike before, I don't think about it anymore. I.."

She doesn't think about it? So, what does she think about now? Him? "Hey, speak up. Your so quiet today; your voice is usually so loud."

"Really, quit getting so close. You know I have a suite fetish, why did you wear one."

Haruka chuckled; she's so adorable.

He bent down and kissed her.

"Nnnghhh," small and soft moans escaped her lips. 'Really, she doesn't make it easier for him.' Since they were in a restaurant, though. Haruka simply drew back after kissing her. He rested his head on her shoulders.

"Are you still going to act all coy with me? Just be honest like you usually are."

"Hubby, I really love you a lot. That's why I want to be with you forever. Is that foolish of me?"

"It isn't, and you know that. What's up?"

"I was thinking Rikksan is a nice person…"

Haruka immediately cut her off by kissing her again. This time he kissed her more pa.s.sionately. "Ahh. …."

"Listen, wife. I do understand your unease, and believe me. I hate it when those girls approach me. I'm a bit uncomfortable with what Rikka did earlier too. However, nothing will sway me anymore. For a while now, it's been that way. Whenever other girls try to go near, I immediately feel disgust."

He didn't know when it started. But every time they got close to him, he would shudder. Yet whenever his wife appears, that sickening feeling vanishes. Isn't it because she's more sincere than them?

"Mmm, I know hubby. I guess I have a paranoia and jealousy issue. So many people get in the way of our relations.h.i.+p."

"Those people," Haruka muttered. "I'll deal with them."

Lila frowned, "Don't do anything dangerous. If you are, let's do it together, okay?"

"Alright, wife, I won't act recklessly without you by my side. Why don't we eat the rest of the food? Let me feed you."

Her eyes lit up at his words, "Okay, hubby."

She's so precious to him. He really should make it clear to Rikka not to bother him while Rikka is different in contrast to the other girls. She's still someone who has feelings for him.
