Dream Star 617 Winter Confrontation

Lila always knew her luck was terrible. But, still, what was this? The date with Haruka was going very well. While Haruka entered the music store to fetch the CDs she ordered. Lila b.u.mps into Sophia outside the store. For a moment, n.o.body said anything, until they both glanced up and watched a video of Haruka's new song.

"What do you think?" Sophia asked.

"Eh um, it's wonderful. Haruka's music has a way of making people happy."

There is something else. Something she cannot convey through words but through a melody. Still, for some reason, Lila refrained from telling this to Sophia. It feels like if Sophia finds out, then she can use it to control Haruka.

Sophia sighs, "I see, so that's as deep as you can get. As expected. This is where your part ends. Good job. Now could you get lost? From this point on you who only focuses on rock and pop music are absolutely useless to him, that's why --"

Lila slaps her hands together, interrupting the girl's speech. "You know, you sound so silly. Something isn't right here. Who are you to decide whether I'm useless or not? Lila felt a sharp pain in her shoulders, and she realized how tightly Sophia had grabbed on to her shoulders. "Ouch, wait a second, Sophia?"

There was something different about the girl today. Something menacing and dangerous. Lila closed her eyes. It seems like she really does need to take this more seriously now. Sophia is a dangerous person; that is something she knew from the very start. However, Lila simply observed the situation. She didn't take immediate action against her. For a long time, Sophia didn't do anything.

Lila was crazy to think that Sophia would let Haruka go. Sophia and Rosalia are the same type of women, after all. She should have seen the signs; they share similar traits to one another. But, she didn't point it out. Why was that?

"Stop it."

Lila glanced over at the direction of the voice and spotted a woman with short brown hair. Ah! "Rikksan."

Rikka strolled over and yanked Sophia's hand from her shoulders. Sophia laughed, "What do you think you're doing, my dear cousin?"

"What I should have done all along," Rikka raised her hand and slapped Sophia. "I'll never forgive you, how dare you set me up."

"So, now, you know. But isn't it better that way? Now I don't have to bother sucking up to you. Also, you should be grateful."

"Grateful?"

"If I didn't set you up, and you continued your relations.h.i.+p. He would have dumped you."

'Ah, are they talking about Haruka?' Sophia set

Rikksan up? About the break up? It didn't take Lila long before she put the pieces together. Before Lila could say anything though Haruka emerges from the store. "Hey, wife, sorry for leaving you wai---" Haruka paused when he saw the scene. Lila saw the menacing aura around him as he walked over. He pulled her away from Rikksan and raised her hand to slap her.

Lila's eyes widened. Wait, wait, wait!

"Rikka, I told you I'd talk to you after new year. What are you doing calling Sophia over and ganging up on Lila for?"

Gahh! Is her husband an idiot?

"Wait, hubby."

"Don't talk, let me handle this."

Uh, he's such an idiot. Lila, however, knew she couldn't say anything now.

"You think it's my fault?" Rikka muttered.

"Isn't it? It was like this before too. Whenever any girls got close to me before you'd call Sophia up, it can't be a coincidence after what happened earlier today."

Rikka laughed, but then her gaze dimmed. "You're always like this; you've never once listened to me. If I told you I just showed up here as a coincidence, you wouldn't, believe me, would you?"

Haruka seemed taken back by this.

"Hubby, let's go. I'm getting cold."

"You're cold, wife?" Haruka removed his coat and wrapped it around her. "The car is nearby, don't worry. It's just a bit further away. Do you need anything else? Maybe you should stay in my arms..."

Uhhh, he's doting on her way too much! Lila could feel Sophia's murderous glare, and her sweat fell. Her husband needs to know when to stop fussing over her.

Rikka

Haruka immediately grabbed hold of her and placed his hand on her forehead. "You're still sick. Why did you come out?"

"According to you, I came out to bully your wife."

"Geez," Haruka muttered. "Forget it. I'll get you a cab home."

"I can go by myself."

'He reacted so quickly, and...' Lila's gaze fell on Haruka's hand that was still on Rikka's forehead. Didn't he touch her far too easily?

"Rikka, you really are sick. Maybe I should drive you back myself."

"I'm alright. Lend me your a.s.sistant instead."

"Alright, make sure to call me when your back."

From the corner of her eye, Lila saw Sophia looking at her. A taunting expression. Her gaze grew cold. This woman is so manipulative. Does she think she is this petty? Lila took a deep breath and walked over. She removed Haruka's coat from her and put it around Rikka.

"Since your sick, you have to bundle up. I hope you have a good Christmas."

Rikka nodded, "Thank you."

After they saw Rikksan of it was a bit awkward. However, Haruka immediately pushed her against the building wall. "So, what happened there? I misunderstood?"

"Ah-huh, she saved me."

"I see."

"Say, hubby um.."

'No, don't be petty.' But, just now she saw how quickly he rushed over to Rikksan. It must be her imagination. Haruka traced her lips, "You're so beautiful today... I knew I shouldn't have left you out of my sight. How dare they bully my wife?"

Lila turned red, "Uh, I'm okay, and did you get the CDs I ordered?"

"Yeah, I have them. But," Haruka bent down. "You got hurt today. I'm not happy."

"Uh, it's really fine. I mean, um," Lila felt his hands on her leg and laughed. "I think you're really h.o.r.n.y hubby. Should we skip the lights and go to the hotel?'

"Na, I can wait," Haruka trailed off. "Besides, I want to do some more sweet things with you."

"Um, then maybe you can remove your hands, and let's get out of this position.."

Haruka looked down at her and nodded. "Sorry, I wanted to check if you were injured elsewhere. Guess I got distracted."

He's so casual about everything. Still, Lila leaned into his hold. "You're an idiot hubby; you need to listen to people who aren't me," she muttered. Lila felt terrible about that misunderstanding just now. Rikksan did nothing wrong; the girl genuinely looked hurt when Haruka didn't believe her. Being doubted by the one you love is clearly painful...
