January 1st, 2036 -Kiryu's apartment -

"Okay! Time to clean," Lila said enthusiastically.

Kiryu kept stealing glances at her from the couch. He was pretending to do work, just so he could watch her. Lila tied her hair back in a high ponytail; she looks so adorable like that. What's with that ap.r.o.n too? Lila looks beautiful no matter what she wears. Something was dazzling about her current plain appearance.

'This is bad,' Kiryu thought. She's only been here for a few minutes, but she's already driving him crazy.

"You know, you really didn't have to do this for me."

Lila laughed, "No, it's okay. I know how you get when you're busy. You work very hard, Kiryu, to the point you neglect things. It's okay since I have time. I'll help you out."

"Aren't you sick?" he muttered, "You should rest."

"Kiryu, too, you look exhausted. Please lay down."

"Lila..."

"I'm okay silly, lay down, okay?"

Kiryu knew he couldn't argue, so he laid down on the couch. Lila walked over and wrapped the surrounding blanket. She briefly brushed her hands across his forehead. "I think you have a fever too. Wait, I'll make some soup and other things."

"Yeah," that's all he could say as he watched her walk over to the attached kitchen. 'She's really different now,' Kiryu thought. Lila brought out several pans and supplies out from the drawers. He changed nothing, even though Rosalia tried to. Kiryu moved everything back to the usual spot.

Hearing Lila sing a familiar song, Kiryu called out. "Lila, don't sing that."

The girl laughed, "Are you getting embarra.s.sed? It's okay. I know you like it."

'That isn't the point here.' That's the song she used for auditions. To think so much has happened since that time. Back then, he already resolved himself. Lila will eventually break up with him. That may be why he let his guard down during that fight and got into an accident. Still, even then, Lila's actions surprised him a great deal.

Back then, Lila was so weak and confused. She loved both of them - but Kiryu stepped back because he saw it then. Lila already liked Haruka a lot; she will continue loving him. Even if she remained with him, her relations.h.i.+p with Haruka would continue to grow. Rather than put her on a pedestal like that, Kiryu wanted her to be free and chose.

"Kiryu, do um need blood?"

'Blood?' He didn't even think about it. But, since she is offering. Kiryu extended his hands out, "Come here, Lila."

Lila placed the broom down and made her way towards the couch. Kiryu tugged on her hand and pulled her towards him, causing Lila to land on top.

"Stay still," he brought his lips to her neck, one of his hands around her waist. The moment he started to drink, Lila squirmed in his arms and let out soft noises. 'It sounds like she's moaning...' Kiryu shook his head, don't think of it this way. Lila sincerely wants him to get better; he shouldn't ruin her good intentions towards him.

Gosh, she's so beautiful. "Unnh, nnhh..."

"Lila," Kiryu muttered. "You can take some too."

The girl shook her head, and Kiryu frowned slightly. Is this atmosphere not good for her? She must be holding something back too. "Your eyes have gone red," Kiryu commented. "You've turned into a good liar, huh?"

"I--I uhh," Lila stammered. "Quit it, I'm embarra.s.sed. Just drink, don't talk."

He chuckled, she really is adorable. If she turns into an adorable pile of mush every time he teases her, then he should tease her more often. Kiryu bites her ears slightly, "You know, if you act this way, I'll only end up teasing you more."

"Kiryu, you're bullying me again."

"Nothing new, right?"

Indeed, this is normal between them. Kiryu stopped talking and continued drinking her blood. It felt like the girl's blood got sweeter, the more he drank.

After a few minutes, though, "K--Kiryu, stop please, it's too much..."

Kiryu brought his lips away from her neck and traced the remaining blood with his fingers. "Sorry."

"Um, you're that hungry?"

"Yeah," he trailed off. When was the last time he drank properly? Usually hanyou's only needed a small amount of blood daily or weekly. However, there are those with exceptional cases. Lila and him fall under that. But, when was the last time he drank? He doesn't remember.

Lila frowned, "Kiryu, you have to drink.."

"I know."

"Does..does it have to be mine?"

Kiryu nodded, and Lila paused before nodding. "Okay then, you can drink from me. Or I'll leave some of my blood with Eitsan, so when you come see him, you can take it."

Kiryu knew what Lila was getting at. 'I want to help, but Haruka..' It's understandable. Haruka clearly won't like this situation. But, he would dislike it more if he drank from Lila directly like this.

"Do...you want a shower?" he muttered.

"I—I, is that fine?"

"Yeah, you know where the bathroom is, right?"

Lila nodded, the moment the girl stood up though she fell onto the ground.

d.a.m.n, what is he doing?

Kiryu picked her up, "I'll bring you there."

"Kiryu, um, I'm causing problems for you, right?"

'She really is driving him crazy.' This was one of the reasons why he didn't want to be left alone with her. Kiryu knew his self-control when he is around Lila is just as bad as Haruka, probably even worse. Such pretty and luscious lips, beautiful hair, eyelids, and nose... This girl, she's beautiful. Back when she was younger, she looked slightly plain and thin. But, she's truly blossomed.

"Kiryu?" Lila muttered.

"When we arrive, lock the door immediately after I leave."

"Uhh," she looked at him, awkwardly, "You'll really attack me?"

"I can't promise I won't."

"But, you're a gentleman, Kiryu."

"Even gentleman go crazy, seriously lock the door. But I'll stay outside if you need me."

"Kiryu, is there any bubbles?"

"Yeah, on the shelf."

Lila laughed, "Wah, it's the same one I usually get."

Kiryu placed her down, "You can handle it from here, right?"

"En, thank you."

He quickly left the room and shut the door.

"Don't go crazy in there," he slumped down on the ground. This is driving him crazy, really. Lila is right behind this door, naked. d.a.m.n... Does Haruka have no self-control? What about him, geez. Look at him losing control so easily right now.

"Say Kiryu?"

"Hm?"

"I missed you."

Sensing honesty in her tone, "d.a.m.n," Kiryu cursed. "Don't do that; you know I.."

"Is it bad to tell you?"

It isn't at all. Kiryu understood Lila very well; she's always been a straight forward person. His thoughts broke off when he hears the ringtone on his phone and took it out of his pocket. Kiryu's gaze fell on the screen.

From: Haruka

Hey...

Can you take care of Lila for me for a week, no for two?

Huh? Kiryu blinked when he saw the message. But, quickly sent out a reply.

From: Kiryu

Are you okay?

From: Haruka

Just fine. But the idol a.s.sociation board decided on this trip to go to England for a short while. I'll drop by and say goodbye to Lila later, and I'll bring her stuff too.

A sudden trip to go to England? That's very shady. But Kiryu knew he couldn't question it.

From: Kiryu

If you're gone longer than two weeks, then Lila will chase after you.

From: Haruka

I know.

Is this really going to be okay? Kiryu was having doubts.
