Dream Star 661 I'm Happy We Met Again

Lila laughed softly, "You're so stupid at times Haruka. I already knew, for the longest time. So many things have happened since I came back here. We've met and encountered people from our pasts. People who are very dear to us. However even then my feelings haven't changed. I still love you more than anyone."

"Yeah, well," Haruka vaguely replied. "I wish you would show it more."

"You don't think I show it?"

Is he trying to pick a fight with her?

Haruka ran his hands through his hair, "A little. Sometimes you show it, but it feels empty. I'm flattered Lila, by all the attention you give me. But, sometimes I wonder why me?"

Sometimes? Why him? This guy is so foolish. How many times has he repeated that question to her? She is getting sick and tired of repeating these things. No, she shouldn't get angry. Haruka is only insecure, he is like her. He doesn't trust others, nor does he have any love for himself.

"Lila, if you keep staring I'll get embarra.s.sed."

"S-sorry," she immediately apologized.

How embarra.s.sing getting caught. But she peers over, isn't it alright for a bit? It seems like he's changed quite a bit since the last time.

"Your still doing it.." Haruka sighed and trails of. Lila thought that he would be more embarra.s.sed and yet that's not what happened. Her violet coloured eyes widened as he s.h.i.+fted closer.

"Haru-"

Her sentence fell short when he leaned down and touched her cheek with the palm of his hand. " . .. . .. Lila. . . ."

What is he saying? Rather don't just go admitting things like that. But intimacy in public huh? Lila thought he would do something to her, but she didn't get anything. To her surprise Haruka suddenly pulled away from her, with red stained cheeks.

What is he doing?

"If your going to be embarra.s.sed about the action shouldn't you be embarra.s.sed about admitting it too?" Lila calmly replied. But honestly? It was difficult for her.

This is the first time in so long...

"Your right," Haruka agreed.

He really is foolish.

"But, it can't be helped can it? Right now I'm displaying signs of jealousy," Haruka mumbled.

Lila did not reply for awhile, it took her a moment before-- wait did he just say what she thought she did? Haruka is sly! Really sly, this person really is sneaky.

"Lila, I won't kiss you but at least let me hold your hand."

"That's equally as bad. .." she murmurs. He's too sly and yet she buried her face in his chest, "Let me rest for a bit. I'm tired Haruka."

She felt so tired; so very exhausted. In order not to let Kiryu and the others worry she's made sure that it doesn't show on her face. But in reality she's been feeling so very drained.

"Now who is doing things that is bad for the heart? Gee keep contradicting yourself today wife," Haruka mumbled.

Lila chuckles, "Should a person like yourself really be the one telling me that?"

"Your right, I'm not worthy."

They remain that way for a few minutes before she spots something from the corner of her eyes. "That's my diary right?"

"Yeah."

"Let me see."

To her surprise Haruka suddenly hid the book. Her eyes twitched in annoyance when she saw his reaction. So, he has something to hide after all? The last time she saw it was last month.

"Haruka, not so fast. I know you've read my diary too. So by now you should know all my secrets."

Haruka sighed, "Welll--"

"You didn't even tell me even though you knew. I think that's quite mean of you," Lila mumbled. Then again, she only learned that he knew based on his current behaviour towards her.

"That's why I planned to come over and give it back. But you know, more importantly, you could have checked your husband's diary more subtly, couldn't you?"

Ah, so he noticed too? Still, if he knows she read already that makes it worse. Lila tried to avert her gaze. She planned to lecture him, but it seems like he plans to call her out instead.

"Are you not going to give me a reason after lecturing me?" Haruka questioned. By this point she fidgets aroumd uncontrollably. "If you don't tell me I'll spread a rumour, how when we were in London you openly suggested-- "

Lila immediately spoke up then clearly fl.u.s.tered not because of the threat but because of the words that left her lips right after she got up, "Because you've probably just written things like how you think I'm cute or that you like me!! Don't make me say it you dummy!"

"That's exactly right. Did you really not check the entry? Last time I wrote about your scent and stuff, and your nice body..."

At that comment Lila hits him. "Gee! Don't say anymore!"

"Wife you don't have to feel embarra.s.sed, your body is very nice. It's something you should be proud of."

Is he not going to stop acting like a fool for?!

"You know this is difficult for me. I'm having a hard time Haruka. I married you rather abruptly, I don't regret my decision. But, there are other factors I should have considered too," Lila mumbled. "About the first time we did it too. I kept wondering if I should have done that. No matter how much I desired you, I should have pushed you away because of my age."

"Yeah, but I'm equally guilty for touching you. I should have stopped myself, I regret it Lila."

"Don't, I was happy," she mumbled. He held himself back for so long.

There were plenty of other occasions where he could have easily broken the boundary between the two of them. Yet Haruka didn't do that. He waited until she came onto him.

She had many opportunities to do so. To test him? Or to test herself.

Lila was never really sure and even now it's something that remains unanswered. Haruka merely smiles at her, "I'm taking that to mean that you just find it particularly pleasing to your palette. Until the day you acknowledge that it's a sign of your deep attachment to me."

Really he's a fool. But she's always liked it his smile and the warmth that comes from his kisses. Completely different than Kiryu and yet she likes it, her violet coloured orbs softened.

"Haruka, the truth is I read the first part of your diary just then," she leaned over and brushes her fingers across his lips, " ' Ever since I met Lila again, I've come to smile a lot' ' I'm really happy' you wrote that."

It surprised her when she saw those words, even more than it did learning Haruka kept a diary. Then again, when she saw the start date. Lila realized he only started writing it recently after he saw hers.

"Yeah I did. It's great that we met again."

She brushed her lips against his neck and closed her eyes. Her lips lingered there for a few minutes and she inhaled his scent in the process. His blood smells so good, Lila had yet to do anything but whenever they get close - she would smell it. Maybe that's why she has this strange habit of burying her face in his neck.

"Yeah, thanks for being here for me Haruka."

"Lila, take some already."

"Are you impatient?"

Haruka chuckled, "A little, I like it when you drink from me because we get closer."

"This isn't close enough for you?"

"Not close enough," Haruka agreed. "Do something to me wife."

So needy, and yet unlike earlier he didn't seem so desperate and panicked. "I love you," she mumbled.
