Dream Star 683 Coloured Rain Part 19

Well Lila would have to agree with Yumeko there, Haruka was petty at times. But unlike before something has changed. Even though he is jealous, he no longer acts the same way he did before. Lila drew back from Yumeko and clung onto Harukas arm, "Alright, I'm getting hungry. Let's find a cafe or restaurant."

"Wife, take my jacket."

Lila blinked puzzled at his actions. But even Yumeko-chan nodded.

She watched as Haruka took off his jacket and wrapped it around her. Haruka grabbed hold of her hand. "So is there a restaurant near here?"

"Unbelievable, we've been here for a couple of months now. How can you not know?"

"Unlike you I'm actually busy."

Her sweat dropped when she saw the lightning bolts form between them. These two, just when it seems like they would get along with one another. Then again, unlike before their relations.h.i.+p has improved. Lila recalled the time where she first came to Light Town. Haruka and Yumeko would argue all the time and it always made her feel uncomfortable.

The three of them managed to find a small eatery. Lila is thankful that it was fairly empty. It would be bad for anyone to recognize them. She could already see the headlines. Those reporters could easily twist this situation. Lila removed Harukas jacket - but he immediately slipped it back on. 

"Hubby?" she said puzzled.

"Keep that on, you two stay here. I will order." Haruka placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before walking off in the direction of the counter. 

Lila stole a glance at the bag he left with her. Hubby is very careless these days. Indeed, she no longer has any reason to spy on him like she did before. However, he trusts her way too much. 

"Not going to look?" Yumeko asked.

She shook her head, "There is no need. But wait, you knew?"

Yumeko laughed, "Lilchan, you acted so secretive about it. But you would fall asleep after reading the files you stole from his bag."

Lila played with her gla.s.s of water on the table. She liked places like this where they gave you a drink of water before ordering. It goes to show how thoughtful they are. 'She ought to come back here.' 

"Well, it's not like I wanted to do it..and besides," Lila trailed off. "I looked through all that information yes. But I never once reported it to Soichiro."

"I know," Yumeko nodded. "Even back then you were already protecting him. I saw with my own two eyes how you two held back your feelings. How you both tried to play mind games with one another.."

"Mind games huh? I guess you could describe it that way."

"So, will you tell me about why you fought with Rosalichan?" Lila decided to change the topic. While she wanted to talk to Yumeko about Haruka. Something has bugged her since the other day.

'That sudden showdown with Rosalichan.' By chance she heard about it and rushed over. However Lila didn't know the details at all.

Haruka was fetching their orders. Lila initially wanted to go with him. But he told her to speak with Yumeko. It seems like Haruka knows her better than he thinks.

Yumeko sighed, "It's because I saw her threatening Austin-san again. So I thought I should intervene."

"Kiryu?"

The blonde haired girl then explains the events she saw that say. Lila frowned when she hears those words. So Kiryu is still doing that? That's why he replies so vaguely to her messages. 'What an idiot.' The moment Haruka and her gets closer, something goes wrong with Kiryu. It's like somebody is deliberately trying to create a rift.

"Thank you," Lila mumbled. "For doing that. If you didn't intervene, Kiryu would have done something he would end up regretting."

Judging from what Yumeko said Kiryu lost control of his hanyou powers. If it weren't for Yumeko's intervention then he would have harmed Rosalichan. Rosalichan did that on purpose. If Kiryu 'hurt her' he would have to tame responsibility for her.

Rosalichan is willing to get herself hurt just for Kiryu to pay attention to her. She didn't know what to think of it anymore. That woman is crazy. Lila thought she already understood the extent of Rosalichan's love for Kiryu. But it seems like she has underestimated that woman quite a bit. Then again, why would Lila think badly of her?

Last year Miyazawa Rosalia was still normal. The woman even felt bad about the whole incident. That incident where she walked in on Kiryu and Rosalia doing it. Just the mere thought of it disturbed her greatly even now. But, back then Rosalichan was normal. Or maybe she just failed to notice the signs. Either way it seems like that woman will seriously harm Kiryu.

'She has Sophia to worry about too...' So many problems. She felt tired already and the fight has yet to truly begin. Maybe she ought to suggest the vacation thing again with Haruka. Just as she thought that her husband returned with their orders. He placed a tray down on the table.

Haruka took a seat beside her. "After you eat, drink your medicine."

Lila laughed, "Um, why do you carry that around with you?"

"Because of your health," Haruka kept looking at her with a worried expression. "Wife, do you have a change of clothes? Get changed, if you keep wearing that you'll catch a cold."

'Geez, isn't he worrying too much?'

Yumeko who was taking a bite of her burger looked over. "I have some. But I don't think me and Lilchan are the same size."

"No need. Were heading straight to the hospital after this," Lila thanked the girl.

Haruka mumbled something in her ear and she laughed. "Didn't you intend that?"

"Well, I did.."

Lila lightly kissed his cheeks. "That's sweet of you, but I will be okay."

"You know you two," Yumeko mumbled. "..don't you get tired acting so lovey-dovey everyday? Most couples would get tired of it. Your not a new couple anymore but your still this loving."

Haruka averted his gaze, "Well, I didn't exactly treat Lila preciously at the beginning. So I'm making up for it now."

Ah?

Yumeko nodded in agreement. "I agree there, I'm glad you realized that. So what are you going to do about those rumors?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing? But Lilchan will..."

Lila quickly interjected, "It's more like replying will only worsen the situation. The one behind it is Zane. So he won't let us go easily. Yumeko-chan you know about him don't you? That guy is very dangerous. Right now all he is doing is spreading rumors. But eventually those rumors will become deadly."

'That's why lately she is listening to Soichiro and doing whatever he wanted.' As long as she can keep Haruka safe, she would do anything. Lila felt Haruka squeeze her hands and place one hands on her thighs. Ah..

Haruka kissed her cheeks. "You see my wife has this under control, don't worry."

"Let me help you two."

"Yumeko-chan, but ---"

"Alright," Haruka quickly interjected. "Thanks."

Eh? Wait? Lila looked at her husband surprised.
