Dream Star 691 Road To Our Dreams Part 8

Lila found herself getting dragged inside. Haruka buried his face in her hair. "You want to join me right?" 

She did not reply to him and continued to look him up and down. She truly treasures this person. Recalling what he said to calm Rikksan down, she frowned slightly. But he doesn't know when to limit his kindness. Haruka has lived his life not knowing who to trust. That's why when he does find people he cares about, he truly treasures them. Even now Rikksan must be important to him. Those feelings, it's not like she doesn't understand. Even now Kiryu remains important to her.

"Haruka?" Rikka said.

"Sorry, I'm busy."

"I thought you said you were going to shower.." Rikka trailed off. "Lilsan is there."

With that the line abruptly went dead. Lila saw Harukas worried expression but she shook her head.

"Don't go Haruka…"

Haruka nodded and kissed her lips. "I'll stay here with you."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face there. 'Don't go…' Don't leave her alone.. She felt Haruka reach over and switch his phone off. His arms wrapped around her waist, tightening his grip. She wants to kiss him, maybe she will feel better then. Lila lifted her head up only to see his concerned expression.

"Lila…"

"I'm alright," Lila took a deep breath. "Sorry. You know when I was younger my mother left and all that. Back then I held everything in but it felt like she abandoned me."

"Yeah, I know. I understand Lila, I genuinely do."

'That's right, he went through the same thing.' 

"I'm sorry for whining about this. I didn't think this was the reason why I behaved this way."

"Mm," Haruka nodded. "It's alright, don't worry about it."

"Hubby, what was that bout on the phone?"

Haruka wore a complicated look on his face but quickly explained the situation.

"Rikka and Zane...are.."

"She said she was doing it for me," Haruka sighed. "Really, I don't get why. When we broke up she was very harsh with me." 

'To think Rikksan would go that far for Haruka.' Lila suddenly felt even more bitter than before. She quickly left the shower room and headed back to the bathtub.

Haruka wrapped his arms from behind her.

"Hey, don't be angry."

"I'm not, I'm just being petty."

"Lila. I can't cheer you up in the same way as before since I promised your parents. But," Haruka held her tightly. "I can spoil you another way. Would you like to drink from me?"

Now that's an offer she can't refuse. . She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. But Lila quickly realized something. 'What's the point in doing this?' The two of them have been spending proper time as a couple. If she does this, then won't it go back to how it was before?'

Lila hesitantly drew back. She wanted nothing more than to push him down. To push him down and attack him. To bury her face in his neck and bare her fangs at him. But she can't do that.

Haruka laughed, "I guess not. Well, I'll get the water warmed up for you." He turned the tap on and got the bottles out of the cabinet. "Hmmm, this should be fine… I'll put the bubbles in."

'Wait? Is that it? He won't ask anymore?' That's not like him. Is he still distracted about what happened before? Is he worried about Rikksan even now? 'No, don't think of her…' Lila immediately summoned up her courage and rushed over. She grabbed hold of his arm.

"Of course I want you to do that! I love you so much."

"Lila?"

"I love you so much that it's unbearable," Lila burst into tears then. "I know I'm clingy and get jealous easily. I'm not perfect and I make so many mistakes. Actually I'm surprised you even stayed this long with me. You always think your the burden in this relations.h.i.+p. But the real burden is me."

Lila knew she was rambling. But she couldn't stop herself and continued. "Even though I'm excess baggage, and I'm not as pretty as those other girls. I want you to know that I love you more than they do. I want you to understand that no matter what they sacrifice for you, I will do more than them." The rambling aside, the tears kept falling from her eyes.

He probably thinks she is an idiot. She looks and sounds so ridiculous right now. But Lila loves him so much, she does not care anymore. If this is the only way to keep him beside her than so be it. There are so many people in this world who cares about her. However, the one she wants is Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka. The future she envisioned only has him in it.

"I love you so much, and I want to be with you always even if it's impossible."

The next few minutes felt like forever. Lila dreaded it so much. Maybe he will say he is tired and sick of her. How many times do they have to repeat this kind of talk? He must be fed up with how insecure she is. When there are so many other girls in the world, why would Haruka continue staying with someone like her? Actually, the real insecure one is her. The one who is afraid of this relations.h.i.+p ending is her. That's why even when she is suspicious she leaves it be and why she forgives him so easily. No matter what happens, she wants to stay with Haruka. People may call her stupid but this is the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Seconds, minutes. Lila felt her entire body turn stiff.

Why is he taking such a long time to reply? Did she do something wrong? Wait, is he actually sick of her now? Lately he doesn't cuddle with her as much as before. Before Lila could panic even more, she hears him burst into laughter.

"Pfft."

Eh? He's laughing?

Lila looked up and he wore a beaming smile. He wrapped his arms around her and mumbled. "Just now I found out what I could do for you."

Ah…

"Really, you have no idea how precious you are to me. Teras.h.i.+ma Lila."

She has no idea? 

"Does that mean you feel the same way? You aren't sick of me?" Lila had to ask him.

Haruka sighed, he extended his hand out towards her forehead and flicked it. Lila glared at him but Haruka sighed.

"Yes I am sick of something. But it isn't to do with you. I'm tired of all tose people getting in our way and trying to separate us. Those girls? Hah, seriously ridiculous. Yes I do care for Rikka but as a friend. I treasure her and treat her that way because of our friends.h.i.+p. Like you said to me before, I have to expand my circle, meet new people and don't let past troubles bother me. You taught me how to forgive people."
