Lila heard him chuckle, causing her to sigh. 'This is why she doesn't like to call him first.' Soichiro always makes a big deal out of it.

"I have a favor to ask of you."

Soichiro seemed amused. "You always seem so cold, dear. But don't you think you should be nicer when asking me for a favor?"

"You're annoying." Lila snapped. She has no time to play games with him.

"I'm kidding dearest; this is what I like about you. So? What do you want me to do?"

When Lila arrived, the reporters immediately made a pathway for her. All of them were sn.i.g.g.e.ring and smirking. Lila already knew what they were thinking. It's all the same for these people, after all. She opened the double doors and saw Haruka in the middle of filming. He had Rikka backed against the makes.h.i.+ft bed and was about to kiss her.

Lila sighed, 'Well, it's part of the script.' It still didn't make her feel any better. If so much preparation didn't go into this film, then Lila would have persuaded him to abandon it already. She coughed, and Haruka immediately glanced over.

His gaze softened. "Wife."

"Can you stop for a moment?" Lila called out.

Haruka nodded and quickly got of. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "What's wrong? What brings you here?"

"Mmm, just a bit. Did you know there are reporters outside?" Lila asked.

"Reporters?"

"Yes, they want to report your intimate scene and fuel some odd rumors." Lila sighed, "One of them sent me a direct message; it was annoying."

Haruka frowned. "I thought they left, we chased them away earlier..." he trailed off and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Sorry about this. I will deal with it. Did you stop your work for this?"

"I had some time since it's nearby, but it was annoying me, so I had to come."

"I can imagine." Haruka sighed. "Those people are annoying. Maybe I should kiss you in front of them."

Lila stepped on his foot, and Haruka laughed.

"You don't like my idea?"

"I don't."

Haruka kept kissing her cheeks. "Hey, let me kiss you for real."

"Mmmm, okay." Lila immediately agreed, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. The height difference between her and Haruka has changed now. Lila didn't know when but she grew a bit taller. Haruka doesn't have to struggle so much to kiss her. She could say their heights are perfectly synchronized now.

Lila almost forgot they were in public when she caught a glimpse of somebody's gaze on them. Rather from the start, she noticed this person's gaze on her. But Lila didn't pay any attention to it.

'Does she have to fight Rikksan?' Lila wanted to prevent that scenario as much as possible. After all, she doesn't seem to be a bad person.

"Wife, mmmm, you smell so good today." Haruka commented. "I want you so bad, but I'm holding back."

She turned her attention back to Haruka. "You don't have to when we kiss."

"That's kind of you. But, I won't break promises."

'd.a.m.n.' Lila wondered what her mother said to him to get him like this.

"Haruka." Rikka called out. "I will deal with the people outside."

"Na," Haruka shook his head. "I will do it," he places a light kiss on her forehead. "Wait here for me, wife, okay?"

"Mm, okay."

With those words said, she felt his arm around his waist loosen. Haruka hesitated but she urged him to go. 'Haruka always does that whenever they separate.' Lila knew he was afraid something would happen. But sometimes his reaction frightened her. Is it that bad? Haruka should know how strong she is.

The staff pulled out a chair for her and Lila gratefully accepted. She was in the middle of working on her new song when she hears the sound of footsteps.

"Can I speak with you?" Rikka asked.

Lila looked over at her and nodded. "Okay."

Rikka pulled up a spare chair and looked away. "Say. ."

"You don't have to act awkward about it. I declared war on you first, remember?"

"You're a bit different than I thought." Rikka commented.

"I just don't like beating around the bush. You love Haruka, and so do I. It was clear that we could never get along. But I wanted to hope for that."

She didn't want to see Rikka as her enemy, but it's no use now. It's already far too late for the two of them to return to how things were.

"I can't hold back anymore." Rikka mumbled. "He treats me very well, even now. And despite his words, I don't believe that I can't convince him to go back to me. Do you know why we broke up?"

"It was because of me, no," Lila shook her head. "Because you couldn't trust him and decided to cheat?"

Rikka nodded. "That's right. I couldn't trust him."

"And so?"

"I'm saying that it's different now. I guess I have to thank you there. It's because I see how he treats you, that I understand. All along, Haruka trusted and loved me."

"Past tense."

"That could change."

Lila shook her head. "Rikksan, don't be delusional. I know you are smarter than those other women. Do you truly want to fight with me for Haruka? I don't want to enlarge my ego, but if you did something to me. Haruka would never forgive you. Do you want to risk that?"

"It's already too late for me. I can't keep calm anymore. I want to be with Haruka and to return to how things were before. Teras.h.i.+msan, I don't think you're a bad person. You genuinely care for Haruka. But, I don't think you can treasure him as much as me. Don't you still like Austin Kiryu?"

Before Lila could reply, she felt a familiar pair of arms wrapped around her. "Don't reply." Haruka mumbled.

"Hubby."

"It's okay," Haruka a.s.sured her. He turned to Rikka with a complicated expression on her face. "Don't do this to me, please."

Rikka stood up, "It's too late, I'm sorry, Haruka."

When the girl left, Haruka turned her around and caressed her face. "You okay?"

"I'm okay," Lila nodded. She squeezed his hands. "Hubby, okay too?"

"Well, it could be better. I got rid of the reporters. Why don't you go back now?" Haruka asked.

"Won't you continue the kiss scene after I leave?"

"..."

"Hubby, take some time off." Lila tugged on his hand. "You don't want to kiss her, right?"

"I don't."

Lila saw how distressed he looked, so she hugged him tightly. "Let me take you away."
