Lila knew the answer to that already. Even if she returned to Kiryu, nothing would change. In fact if she returned to Kiryu know her situation would be a lot worse. Kiryu sensed her discomfort and laughed.

"I thought as much. You can't even lie about it huh? I guess you must really like him."

Her cheeks coloured at his words. "I do like him a lot," Lila admitted. But, "Kiryu, I liked you a lot too."

She knew that it sounded stupid. However she didn't want him to misunderstand. Once upon a time she genuinely cared a lot for him.

"I know that too."

At that comment Lila bit her lip. "Your not making this fair for me at all."

"Sorry about that," Kiryu apologized. "But I just want you to understand something. I've never blamed you for going out with Haruka. In fact, I'm glad you went out with him."

"Don't be grateful! How could you be happy? I left your side, shouldn't you be sad?" Lila exclaimed, she unknowingly raised her voice. She didn't mean to shout at him, but she suddenly felt so confused when she heard his words. How could he be happy? Isn't he in pain?

Kiryu kept saying he knew a lot about her. But the same goes for her. Ah, this feels stupid. The tears she held back rapidly fell from her eyes. Kiryu stopped tending to her injury, and pulled her into his arms.

"No matter what Lila, you'll always remain the most important person to me. That's why, you have to stay strong. Even when things are difficult, even when you can't breath due to the pain. Stay strong. I will always be here for you."

"But Kiryu, I'm scared. I don't want him to leave me. I've become so attached already, what if Haruka leaves me?"

No matter how much people love each other. If something obstructs them from being together. Won't they go their separate ways? She already saw this happen with her mother and father. Her mother and Ren-san. She saw countless couples over the years fall apart over a simple obstruction.

With the way things are now, won't Haruka leave her sooner or later? Lila still couldn't forget his words from the other day about breaking up. It frightened her.

"Lila, what's wrong with you? Did something happen?"

Lila didn't want to tell anyone. It scared her so much. If somebody else finds out, won't something happen? She doesn't want to jinx it. But Kiryu is asking her.

"Haruka said..Haruka said that we should break up..."

"Did he say why?"

"He said he doesn't want me to suffer anymore. Kiryu, isn't this because I cried over the RikkSan matter? Haruka is fed up with me."

Kiryu shook his head and continued to pat her back. "Lila, Haruka isn't fed up. You should know that."

"I don't know."

She doesn't know. She is so scared. What if he leaves? She can't bare it. Her thoughts broke off when Kiryu placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Lila, please don't cry anymore." Kiryu mumbled. "I don't know the full story so I can't help you. But, I can rea.s.sure you. Haruka will never get tired of you. He loves you so much."

"But that's why I'm scared. If he loves me so much, he will sacrifice even being with me just for my happiness won't he? Like you Kiryu, Haruka is like you. He will leave."

Lila only realized a second later what she said. Kiryu looked at her with wide eyes. "So you knew huh?"

"Yes."

"Of course you did. But let's not talk about me. You know Lila, Haruka is different from me. His love for you is different. At first I thought it was the same as mine. However as more time pa.s.sed by, I realized I was wrong. That guy will never be able to leave you."

"Never?" Lila repeated.

Kiryu nodded. "Never. You see Lila," he bent down and whispered something in her ear.

Lila couldn't believe what she heard.

"From the start?" Lila muttered.

"Yeah, from the start."

'Is that why Kiryu said Haruka will never betray her? Is that why Kiryu knew those rumors about Haruka were lies?' From the very start Haruka was on her side?

When they were in London, didn't Haruka say that to her? How come she didn't believe in him?

Lila pulled herself back from Kiryu's arms. She wiped her tears. "I think I should go."

"I see," Kiryu's smile remained unchanged. "But can I at least walk you out?"

Lila already resolved herself, at least she thought that. After hearing that from Kiryu, her unease vanished a bit. But it seems like it will take a lot more. Kiryu walked her out the building and the two walked onto the streets. n.o.body said a word and Lila enjoyed watching the scenery. In this area of town it was awfully quiet. So when Lila sensed people, she knew who it would be.

Haruka most-likely went after her. Indeed, when Lila looked up. She saw Haruka at the end of the street. However he wasn't alone, a familiar girl was with him. The two were kissing intently. Ah...

Kiryu sighed, "Hey, don't cry. Look closely."

Lila glanced over and indeed saw it was one sided. Her husband looked a bit drunk. 'People take advantage of him so easily.' Haruka yanked Rikka of him.

"Damm it, I told you to stop that already!" he cursed.

"But Haruka. I want you."

Haruka sighed and flicked Rikka's forehead. "I've heard that line before too, come up with something more unique."

"Haruka." Kiryu suddenly called out.

'Wait why is he interrupting them.' Lila glared at Kiryu but he shrugged his shoulders.

At that comment Haruka glanced over at them. He frowned slightly when he saw her leaning on Kiryu. But he quickly walked over and picked her up. He thanked Kiryu who was already leaving.

"You got hurt again wife?" Haruka asked her.

"Ah-huh."

"That's no good." he proceeded to kiss her forehead. But Lila immediately flinched.

"Did you see that?"

'..she saw everything.' But then again, did she? She only walked in the middle of the scene. What lead to Rikka kissing him like that? Lila shook her head. She can't think of that.

"I'm so sorry Lila. Sssh, please don't cry. I won't see her anymore. After the festival and movie is over, I will stop talking to her. Don't cry anymore Lila."

Lila wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm so unreasonable. But you never tire of me."

"Of course I won't. I love you."

"Does she always do that?" Lila mumbled.

"Just recently."

"Would you do a better job at stopping her next time? I know it's harder since you consider her as a friend. But. "

"Yeah, sorry. She caught me of guard a bit. Relax wife, it won't happen again."

She can trust him can't she? Like Kiryu said, Haruka will never intentionally betray her. Lila nodded and drew back. But Haruka didn't let her go.

"Wife, you need to infect me."

"But..."

"Lila," Haruka said. "Lila, Lila. You don't know my

feelings very well do you?"

"Hubby's feelings?" Lila repeated.

"Mmm, my feelings. I've loved you since we first met. Do you remember yet?"
