Dream Star 723 Devil's Lullaby Part 7

Ever since that night, it felt like her husband was watching over her a lot more. A deep sigh crossed her lips. 'I can't slip away as easily now.' At first Lila thought he was onto something, however she slowly understood why he was sharper now. It's not that his senses have improved. Haruka simply wants to be with her more than before.

To conduct their business in the very same place where she had just threatened to kill them all, if they were to go near Yuhi again; hardly seemed appropriate. Even now she can still feel it. A deep fear has been engraved in her skin, the fear of everyone in this room. The words of a pure hanyou princess can truly shake the world. Even if she hadn't been born this way, she is sure that this fear would still be engraved in to people. Since her very presence brings fear. That is something that will never change.

"I hear my wife has been causing you problems, my apologies." Soichiro said pouring the bottle of wine, the red colour immediately drew her attention; and yet she took a sip.

"Aside from clinging to Haruka, she doesn't do anything too extreme. So I hardly noticed it.  " Even though at the start it looked as though she would really get in the way. It turns out her having Masaru watch over Auna was the correct choice after all. They've both been a good influence towards each other.

"I see. Swinging your cursed blade around like that though, is it wise?"

"The guardian blade and my dark blade, they decided to cooperate and so refused as one."

"Oho? That's why there's b.u.t.terflies now. But that's interesting, your guardian blade made such a choice? Even though she's as stubborn as you."

"You'll be surprised how much she's changed. " She must have been doing a lot of thinking in the years they were apart from each other.

"I'm more surprised to see how much you've changed."

"Is it unsuitable after all?" Lila questioned.

"No, I am more surprised to see how fitting it was." Soichiro trails of. "The subject of Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka though, is something that won't disappear anytime soon; even more so after tonights ball, and yet you still intend to go through it?"

Soichiro sighed. "It really is difficult, of course I'm aware of that. It's fortunate that they don't know about your younger sister's existence yet, when they do I'm afraid it'll cause more of a fuss."

That's right, her younger sister 'Freya' is special. She isn't like Kyoko-nee, or big brother Huan or like William. A child born from light and darkness? It made little sense, it's usually only one. But that child differs from all the others.

When they find out about she wonders what sort of change will occur. 'That little girl is like her, and yet she is different too.' Mother and father are away on their trip. So for now she has to hold down the fort. She won't let them harm her sister.

"So you say, but if they go after your friend, you'll have an excuse to attack them."

"Your wrong s.h.i.+oka, I don't need an excuse. This isn't the first place I've gone to threaten them. By now they should all receive my threats. 'Don't lay a hand on or complain to Karas.h.i.+ma Haruka. ' I went around to so many people threatening them with these words. After all there are too many huge idiots out there, who won't understand that I'm extremely angry unless I say so."

This entire time she held back so people probably think they can push her around. But, from now on, Lila will make sure they understand. 

"How frightening. But indeed, that is what makes you interesting." Soichiro reached over and cups her cheek. "A pure hanyou Princess like you that has been raised in complete isolation since you were younger; and yet you paved your own path from that point onwards and were exposed to the light." His fingers brush across the nape of her neck. "Tell me, which one are you fighting for now? The light or darkness?  Which one do you prefer?"

Lila sighed and moved away from him. "I didn't come here to have such a discussion. Is Zane really here?"

Soichiro nodded. "Yeah but the one leading this event is her." He pointed to the second floor.

She glanced over and spotted Rosalichan surrounded by people.

"I'm surprised you came here knowing…"

"I have to face her sooner or later." Lila admitted. "It's not like I was running away from her before. I simply didn't care for her. Whatever Rosalichan did, it didn't bother me as much as it did before. However," her gaze dimmed. "Threatening Haruka is overstepping it."

"You looked at his phone?"

"Mmm, Rosalichan aside. Sophia is a real pest." Lila sighed. "Why do they concentrate all their efforts onto something so pointless?"

"Beats me." Soichiro trailed off. "But there is no doubt that things are getting dangerous. From now on you have to be very careful. If you cant use my forces openly, isn't there another playing card you can use?"

Lila sighed. "I feel bad asking them, those people are more loyal to my mother."

"Well you haven't had the time to build connections other than mine."

She rolled her eyes at his comment. "Do you want to continue emphasising that mine thing?"

"I do, I haven't had time to keep you to myself lately." Soichiro grabbed a handful of her hair and brought it to her lips. "Do you understand how frustrated I am?"

At that comment Lila did not say anything and her gaze fell on the group of people heading their way. Her gaze dimmed when she saw the smiles on their faces, she could not miss how they said her name. Soichiro let go of her hair and a serious expression appeared on his face.

"Ready?"

"Yes."
