Dream Star 744 Is This Okay?

Haruka returned with a complicated expression on his face. 'I didn't expect it to be that easy.' Sano didn't say it directly, but he agreed, didn't he? With Nagawa Sano's help, it will be easy to suppress Zane for awhile. But, Haruka approached the door to his apartment. 'Is this truly okay?'

There must be a reason why that woman didn't ask Nagawa himself. Is it because of the past history between them? No, usually something like that wouldn't stop her.

"Welcome back!!" his cute wife immediately tackled him into a hug, causing him to fall on the ground.

Haruka rolled his eyes. "You smell like Kiryu."

"Wh--wha!! He just drank my blood a little."

So did she hug me due to guilt? Well, whatever.

He brought his lips to hers. "Mm, I want a kiss."

Her eyes brightened at his words, and she kisses him. There is no need for her to pry his mouth open, he lets her inside, and she immediately stuck her tongue inside.

Mmm, his wife's kissing skills have improved. Then again, he has taught her well. Her movements aren't as clumsy as before; she knows what she is doing now.

Haruka felt Lila's hands on his s.h.i.+rt, and she undid the b.u.t.tons. 'Well, if she wants to do that, why would I complain?'

"Lila..." 

"I need to make you worked up."

His lips curve to a smile. "The floor is cold."

Lila pouted. "Don't complain."

Honestly, this girl never fails to amaze him. How many more different sides of her will he see? This girl, though, seems to be very confident these days. She probably has no idea that he could easily change this situation. Let Lila think she has control since it makes her so happy.

"Ex--excuse..." Ayase stammered.

Haruka sighed. "What is it?"

"Uhh, his fever went up again."

At that comment, Lila immediately stopped kissing him and got up. "Ah! Medicine." She slapped her forehead. "Thank you, Kotori-chan. I will go to him now." 

Lila briefly turned around and looked at him. "Hubby don't try to escape. I want to continue later."

With those words said, Lila left the room. 'Continue later, is it?'

"Hey."

Kotori hesitantly turned around.

"Uh.."

"You've changed."

At that comment, Kotori sighed. "Karas.h.i.+msenpai, I didn't think you would bring this up."

"Just making small talk."

Kotori wore a complicated look on her face. "Please don't think anything of it anymore. The whole confessing thing and me kissing you. Don't feel bad or whatever. If I knew you were the guy Lilchan liked, then I would never have..."

"Calm down, will you? Besides, it was before you became close friends with Lila, so don't feel bad." Haruka trailed off. "I only said that because I feel like Lila and Kiryu has influenced you. Am I wrong?"

Kotori nodded. "I suppose that is true. But everybody has changed because of them. The power and influence they have over other people's lives surprises me even now."

The influence they have over other lives, huh?

"Say Ayase, could I ask you for a favor?"

The girl bit her lip but nodded. "I'm listening."

New York Main Streets

Due to Kiryu's injuries, he decided it would be better for Kiryu to stay with them. So it isn't too awkward, he invited Ayase to stay there too. Currently, he and Lila were out shopping.

Haruka felt his heart skip a beat when he saw the clothes she changed into. 

Lila now wore a long-sleeved off-the-shoulder jumper in a fluffy knit with a sheen. Elastication at the top and ribbing at the cuffs and hem. A long black skirt and a cream-colored side hat.

Why does she look so beautiful? He shook his head; lately, he finds whenever Lila changes clothes, she looks prettier than before.

"Hubby, I'm ---" Lila took a few steps forward and looked at him. "--your blus.h.i.+ng!"

"d.a.m.n it. I'm not."

Lila laughed. "Um, your red. That's cute."

"Cute isn't a compliment." Haruka averted his gaze. 

Whenever he is around Teras.h.i.+ma Lila, he reverts to how he was before. But only she could have this effect on him. 

Haruka grabbed hold of her hand. "Finished?"

"Mmm, I bought enough clothes. Let's go now."

Haruka nodded, and the exited the shop. The moment they did, Haruka felt people's gaze on them. No to be exact on Lila. Asians always stand out in places like this, but the way these men looked at his wife was different. 

'd.a.m.n, I know she is pretty but stop leering at my wife. What is he a scarecrow? Why would you look at the girl, if you see a good man beside her.'

Then again, Haruka knew what his appearance looked like to others. People most-likely think he is a player who isn't serious about her. A deep sigh crossed his lips. He forgets how his wife is a n.o.ble, a member of the rich circle. She doesn't show off her wealth or even mentions it. It's easy to forget that their status differs from one another.

But, he watched as she turned to him with a tender smile on her face. "Let's take a walk in the park, Lila."

"Okay, let's go." She agreed. "Ah, is this a date?"

"It's a date, your dressed up pretty too."

"I need to do my makeup."

Haruka rolled his eyes at that. Lately, Lila keeps wearing makeup. "You don't need that."

"But don't you like it?"

"I don't mind." Haruka nodded. He understands that makeup makes girls feel comfortable with their appearance. But it never made a difference to Lila before. "The reason I love you isn't because of your appearance anyway."

If he wanted a girl with good looks, there are many more people like that. Girls who are prettier than Lila and easy to control. Girls who only want one thing from him. But, Haruka never wanted that. He wants somebody like Lila. Somebody who has experienced the same pain as him, somebody who understands and accepts everything about him.

"Then, I guess I don't have to wear it. Say," Lila's tone suddenly changed. "Why did you ask Kiryu to stay?"

"Do you think I'm trying to test you?" 

Lila shook her head. "No, I know you won't do that to me. There is no need for you to do something like that Haruka, you love me so much after all."

"Then..."

"I thought it might be too harsh on him to stay with us." Lila trailed off. "I'm hurting, Kiryu. For the longest time, I thought this way, even before we went out. I can never do anything to help that person. All I can do is cause him endless amounts of pain."
